Harassment- needs to stop

They've called me 20 times in less then 8 hours. I asked them to be removed from their list and I was told the only way I would be removed is if I answered their questions. I asked what they were calling in regards to and she could barely remember (or find the paper) my business name. I then just begun to pick up the call and put my end on mute - I have unlimited minutes so if they want to waste their time calling me, by all means, go right ahead. But I must say this is the most annoying sales tactic I've ever seen and if they think they will get business by harassing people, that's quite comical!

How did you get them to stop calling they call me all day long!!!

I kept getting calls from 949 numbers - finally answered today. Some man with a mumbly voice said something about a "Global blah blah Small Business Directory" and that it was free and he needed my information. I told him he could e-mail me his info, he insisted that we do it over the phone. I repeated that he needed to e-mail me the info, he screamed "WHY?" and when I once again repeated that he needed to e-mail instead of call, he hung up. Obviously such a scam from the start, but so annoying to deal with when you are answering client calls. Please beware, don't entertain these calls!

When I answered the phone, they asked for me by name.  I responded by saying I was who they asked for, and who is calling. They hung up.  Haven't heard from them since.  Never found out what they were trying to scam me with.  It should be interesting to see if they call again.

They call me at least 3 times in a day. Even though i told them they are a fraud, they call me back with some Indian accent. They sometimes call me with 949 273 0172 number. These people need to be punished. I am researching these number and to put a stop to their irritating calls

Got a call from this number after I started to sign up for an account with Google AdSense.   2063971216 also called me earlier in the day.  I see there are complaints about that number as well(http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-206-397-1216). Fortunately we use Google Voice for our business number so I was easily able to block them  They'll now hear a recording that the number is out of service. ;)  Hope there is some other way to solve these annoying calls

Definitely a scam. I listen to their spiel once. I was on the phone with my girlfriend on my business phone at the time they called me 4 times was still on the business phone for no apparent reason in less than 5 minutes. This happens way too often I must get about 10 different calls from different companies doing the same scam everyday. I installed a blocker program in my phone unfortunately it's allows to leave a message but it won't ring. The only a scam artist FDR I think its called does leave a message this company doesn't. Is unbelievable amount of waste of time these scam artist do two companies. Phone companies won't do anything about it. Police won't do anything about it. Definitely a crime but nobody will do anything about it so best to do is put a blocker on your phone.

I just called this number back and it says "Thank you for calling about your on-line marketing program....."  I didn't listen to the rest of the message and I have no idea what the name of the company is.  I answer phones for a business, so this came in on the business line - however, they don't HAVE a marketing program, so they're obviously trying to sell them something.  UGH!

12/27/2013 3:40 pm blew my phone up 8 times within 2 minutes. Mr Number just kept blocking number. Claims to be a google telemarketer per my reverse lookup. This is bull$#!^

Just got this call.  Female with 'foreign' accent asked to speak with the business owner.  I said, "That would be me. How can we help you today?"  She asked if she could speak with the owner of the business.  I REPEATED, "That would be me. How can we help you today?"  She then asked if I was the business owner.  I said, "yes".  (Hilarious, so far, right?)  She said she was calling about our Google Listing.  I told her I was about to go into a meeting and next week would be better to discuss it.  I asked if 'it' costs anything because we don't have any money.  She sounded aggitated in her reply, "I'm not asking you for any money."  I didn't ask her for any information - will do that next week....IF I answer the call.
(To be fair, she did not represent herself as calling from THE Google corporation.)

Same deal, said there was a top spot available.  Incessantly began asking me for my full name, and each time I said "I'm not at liberty to say". He repeatedly asked "But don't you want to have the top listing on google?" I repeatedly told him no, I prefer to be on the last page. Then he went back to the questions about my name. I told him he was presenting psychotic features. Then we engaged in a debate over whether he was psychotic or not. Just when I thought I might have successfully gotten him all riled up, he began asking for my name again, and whether I wanted to have the top google listing.  I accused him of being psychotic again. Then he said he has a similar business as mine. Out "in California". I asked him the name.  He stuttered. He came up with one. I asked him where. He stuttered. Then he explained why he was withholding details: because I had not yet given him my name. I again informed him he was psychotic. He submitted shortly thereafter and abruptly ended the call.

This group has been told by me several times to not call. They have yelled at me and hung up on me

I have also been receiving calls from this number. I also figured that if it were important they would leave a message, but never did (not surprised). I finally decided to answer today and I experiened exactly the same scenario, they were asking to speak to the owner of mg business. What makes me uneasy is that they already had some information on my business (name, address). Should I be concerned? But then again, anyone can have access to your businesses' names and address. I have received 3 call today from this company and asking to speak to the owners about our google listings.  I asked for a supervisor and she got ugly with me.  I asked them to take us off their call list and that they were harassing our office.  They demanded to speak to the owners of the office.    Then hung up on me.  

Same problem here.  She asks for owner and says some bull about front page on google maps.  I told her I wasn't interested and her exact response was "it is not a matter of you being interested or not".  So I hung up on her.  She won't quit...called me about 4 times today.  

She asked for the business owner.  I asked her "does anyone you call ever just say, 'sure let me get him for you'".  She hung up.

They are representing themselves as Google. If your press them on who they are they will admit that they are in fact, NOT Google.

They keep calling, obviously scammers. They have no website, and are not real. They will not stop calling. I am already the top listing for my area, and want nothing from them. TOTAL CRAP! They don't even have a website!

Yes they called me too. I am already the top listing for my area, and questioned them immediately. They don't even show up on google lol, there is a total CR*P wordpress site they have, which is an obvious red flag to anyone with a brain. They are full of it.

The lady called me again. I told here I don't want anything from you honey, and she hung up. This woman is a twisted fraud scammer of some sort. She is blocked now, download Mr.Number APP. and you can block all these spammers.

These guys called me today asking for my business information and claiming they will list my website on the top of google search. Just another scammer...

love my android phone. added them to the calls blacklist (free app) after their first call. now i can see they got blocked from the call log. no vm. no callback. chumps.

You sent them the money? OMW, no!!!  Sorry, but that was NOT the smart thing to do. What they are doing is illegal and is called extortion. At least what they did to you.  What was the address you sent that $$$ to? Did you wire it to a person with an address? I would bet that the police would investigate them. They won't be able to get your money back, but maybe they can do something. The suggestion to press #60 worked for me. They are blocked from my phone. Good luck.

I already have a Lawyer on retainer who is now researching who to file a lawsuit harassment claim against. I hope this will stop the calls bothering our business lines 12 times a day! I have asked repeatedly to be taken off the calling list. I have asked to speak with the manager each time and get hung up on. This is unprofessional and will be stopped. I have already placed my business number on the Do Not Call list and this gives me the warranted right to deny phone calls and to file complaint with any calls coming to me!

Same thing here - I'd received calls from this "company" in the past claiming to be "Google" and that they wanted more contact info to increase my visability online - I told them no and they kept calling so I blocked that number ... now the past two days they have called me EIGHT times. I answered and they asked to speak to "the business owner" and I told them promptly to stop calling. They called back again after I hung up. I answered and told them to stop calling and remove me from their list immediately. Still received a call moments after I hung up. I answered and told them I was reporting them and hung up. Five minutes later, they called again. I blocked the number.

Got thru the first person who collects data, then they transferred me to a more professional sales person.  My point is what they are offering is to update google, bing, yahoo, and other local search engine optimization information so you rank well as a business.  I happen to do all this stuff for myself but they still pressured me to use them.

I have no clue if these people actually do a legitimate service but this is what they claim they are about.  I hung up on them.
