I received a phone call from these people, claiming to be from Google, when I said stop calling me, they said it was the first time they called,  they then changed and said they work with Google and get a list of companies to call on behalf of Google.  I the call lasted 20 minutes and I ended up paying for the call somehow, although I had cut them off in less than a minute???

This is a telemarketer, or otherwise unwelcome caller.

Same thing here... Indian accent keeps calling my business .. If we hang up they call back and block their number!

These people are calling my cell phone=business phone repeatedly. I ignore the calls now-but this guy left me a message, first singing, then calling me an effing bi***. Sick of it.

Received a call at our small company asking to speak to the owner.  I replied that the owner does not take unsolicited telephone calls.  They hung up in my ear immediately.  This reply to scammers or telemarketers is by far the most effective answer that I have used yet!  Some of them are speechless!  HAHA!

Was on another call and this one showed up, didn't answer, googled it and found out it's spam.

Some Indian guy... Poor guy in fact... Passed him to my boyfriend how had a field day with him. 5 minutes of " But you told me your name was Edward OKAY" Now you,re telling me your name's not OKAY?" "Why are you making up names?" Was hilarious! Don't think they're going to call anymore, thinking were on the hostile list, yet again ;)))

I got the first call at 7:30 am. Is that even legal? The foreigner asked for the business owner. I said I don't own a business and to please take me off their list. The guy said he couldn't do that. WT...? I asked for the supervisor as he stuttered some other crap. Imediately, he changed his tone and introduced himself by name (I can't pronounce) and said he was the supervisor. It was a poor impression by the same original idiot I was speaking to. I swear I heard chickens clucking in the background. Not once did he give me a company name. I only know what they were trying to do because I called back and heard the loop recording saying they would put my business on the front of Google search. They have called me three more times today. I just haven't been able to answer since I do have a real job. SUPER SCAM!

OMG!!! This individual has called me twice today. I asked him if he understands that when I hung up on him earlier (due to his inability to answer my questions) that I am NOT INTERESTED!!!! LOL. I can't even call this guy back to harass him some.

Telemarketer, said she is calling from BC, about Google listing., needs to update information.., told her no thanks and hung up.  She called back! Asked why i hung up on her....told her still not interested and hung up.

I just received a call from this company. He was trying to be manipulative and said he's calling to verify my business listing and that their company is a data feed for Google. I smelled b***s*** from the moment he started talking. He was very persistent, pushy, and rude. Don't give them any information and move on.

Called a few times about some marketing plan for business. A search on google shows number belongs to a web site called rankingjuice.com.

Google listing for business?  I think not...

You CAN report the calls to the FCC.  Not that they have the manpower to do much about it, but even as a business, you do have certain rights.  When you are at the spot to file a complaint, choose Telemarketing, Prerecorded Messages, Caller ID Spoofing, and Do-Not-Call, then choose either pre-recorded or spoofed call.  Or, you can choose Wired Phone and then Telemarketing Call.
We are a business and I report almost every scam call we get.  As long as you haven't done business with them in the past or given them permission to contact the company, you can report them.
Instead of yelling at them, ask them questions...interrupt them to ask their business name, interrupt to ask their address, interrupt to ask if they like macaroni & cheese...tell them you don't know your company's address - just like them.  Have some fun with it but DON'T answer their questions :)

Check your credit card bills and any other "bills" that may come from "Google"...you just got scammed.  NEVER answer any of their questions unless you verify the actual business name, address, and phone number.

Some Indian dude kept trying to verify our information but I would not verify for him...I kept asking for the business name and address and kept getting hung up on...moron kept calling back and the boss was next to me and he picked up and told them he's not interested.  I was having fun bugging the jerk asking for their address 20 times in 3 phone calls lol...
As for choice of call type below, they really need to add "SCAM" to the list.

Stated wanted to talk with owner. Told him owner not here. Asked for number so I could have him call at later time. They stated they do not take in-coming calls. I told him that was going to be a problem since our owner did not take in-coming calls either! There was a long pause (I guess he was reading down the cheat sheet to see what he was to say next and could not find an answer!) He said have a nice day and hung up. It will be interesting to see if I get any more calls from them.

Got this call today & asked him to verify if he worked for Google. He said yes. I asked for his supervisors name. He said Karen. I asked for her phone number so I could verify that he worked for Google. He said "BUGGER OFF" & hung up.

I receive about 3-4 calls from this number EVERY DAY. I have repeatedly asked to be taken off their list, to which they reply "List? What list? I do not know what you mean." When I ask to speak to their manager, they hang up. Sometimes I play along and answer their questions, hoping that will get them to leave me alone. As other posters have reported, they ask about the business, how many years we've been open, how many employees we have, whether we want to expand our business, etc. Sometimes I answer the phone, and just leave it off the line to annoy them. Sometimes I answer and hang up immediately. Sometimes I yell at them. I've tried everything, but they keep calling. Since we are a business line, we cannot report the number because "business-to-business" calls are not covered by the do-not-call laws (only home and personal lines have that privilege). Do not answer the phone if you see this number on your caller-ID. They will ruin your day and they will not stop calling.
