Just received a call from this number and Verizon left a message stating someone had ordered a Ipad and it was being sent to Florida; I live in AZ. They said the order would be cancelled in 24 hours if I didn't call back. The number is legit.

This number IS LEGIT. I sent an email to Verizon's Customer Support Management about a double billing charge. This was the number I was called back from. I believe that it is for their Office in Irvine CA. Keep in mind though; people CAN spoof numbers especially using certain VOIP programs; so just be mindful of who you talk to and if you are expecting a call. Though yeah; this number is a Verizon Wireless Office.

I don't know about that.  I had a billing issue with Verizon, and they called me back from this number about it.

Same number as all the others... he asked for Marsha, after I answered "this is Donna".  I told him he had the wrong number and then I hung up on him.  Sounds like I should be glad I did.

This number has alao been used for the credit card rate reduction scammers Card Services!

Besides that why would Verizon be calling people who do not even have them as their cell provider? Blank calling any any every number in order to find a sucker to scam!

This number appeared on the call log for the service I used as a number I already had blocked! And it also has many complaints against it across the net! No legit number and not a legit call!

This is definitely a real verizon customer service number. I recently added a line to our old family share plan, and it's taken forever for the right department to unlock paperwork to properly add the line. So they added it as a separate line to activate the service, and I've been calling them about making sure I get refunded for the extra charges. I didn't pick up the call because so many websites listed the number as telemarketing, but I just listened to the voicemail they left me. It's the same customer service rep I've been talking to just letting me know that she's posting credit for the overcharge and submitting another set of paperwork to unlock that plan.

Have filed with the FCC many times and that's a hit or miss thing too.  There is no privacy anymore on any phone.  I do not give my cell phone number to anyone...only family and very close and very few friends and the hackers or telemarketers somehow get it anyway.  About to change the number again.  Seems if your credit is good and you mind your own business, they target you.  A bunch of malarky...for years our numbers were unlisted as my husband is a police officer and I do private investigations but as it seems there is no privacy anymore and while we are doing things the right way, there are a bunch of no good sorry souls trying to mess with our lives.  It must stop.  I do not let strangers into my house...nor answer their annoying calls.  Wish I knew their numbers so I could harass them at will....and get paid for it...geez people...find a real job.  Karma is real and one day you will receive unstopping annoying calls...hope the ring blows your ears off..

You have to be suspicious when the caller says that he's from Verizon but talks very low and speed talks so that you can't understand a word that he's saying. Very annoying. And very suspicious.

My husband received a phone call from this number on his cell phone. He didn't pick up. The caller gave his name and said that he was from Verizon Wireless. He spoke very low and fast so that the message was garbled and not understandable. It was suspicious and my husband deleted it.

Despite the fact that all our phone numbers (including our land line and fax) are listed with the Do Not Call Registry we continue to receive these phony calls seven days a week. Complaining to them is a waste of time. You're better off filing a complaint with the FCC online: http://www.fcc.gov/

Hope this was helpful.

I received a call from this number today but not message.  I called them back and spoke to a woman in customer service.  She explained the reason for the call was to let me know I was approved for the discount I knew Verizon offered to employees of their competitors.  Yes I work for one of their competitors but had Verizon before I came to work for my company who I will not mention our of respect for my employer.  It's not that my company is not a good wireless company it just that my family and I all had Verizon for years and the friends and family plan works for us.  I was happy to receive this call and know that I will be saving 10% on my monthly bill.   Just got new Iphones and of course the monthly rate is higher because of the data plan.  Thank you Verizon I appreciate you giving me the discount.  I would have to agree with the guy that says people are being paranoid but what do you expect in a society that gives us reason to be.

Received a call with indian accent this afternoon after I ordered an iPad mini this morning, asked to verify my info. Called the number tonight, indicated it is financial devision. they asked my date of birth, then previous home address and maybe more. I didn't give them all except my date of birth. I said it is nonsense to ask all those personal info for a simple online order( I ordered tons of things from apple and amazon, they never asked a thing). Then the lady hang up on me, what a crappy business Verizon has.

This is NOT a Verizon number.these people call pretending to be Verizon so they can hack into your account after"verifying" it with you.then they make international calls from your lines.they will call asking for you to verify your information, then they will you that information to access your accounts.these people are criminals! Do not give out any of your information to them.

Received a call from "Verizon" asking if we had a chance to look at the new phones. ?? Told them that we did not want new phones because if you upgrade, you lose unlimited data (this is true for all you people thinking of upgrading), and she said "Oh, ok. Goodbye". Really? What company ever says that without trying to talk you into a different plan, or telling you about the different plans they have to offer? Not buying that this was a legit call...

This is a number being used for a Verizon Wireless Scam. Don't give them any information, they used my company account to order 7 Ipones and almost got away with it until Verizon called me to verify my order.

Event Reminder
Received a call yesterday from this number.  He asked "is this Ms. Hill?  When I verified he said that someone may have fraudulently ordered an IPAD using my name and address.  He he was calling from the consumer protection department of Verizon.   He asked did I know anyone in Kentucky.  I said no.  I said I would call him back at that number.   When I called back, the recording says welcome to Verizon Wireless Customer Services.   When I spoke another man who I was connected to,  he tried to ask for my social security number.  I did not give it.  I then told him I did not have any credit cards either.  Meanwhile the first man called me back.   He concluded that it was probably a fraudulent order and if I received anything, to please send it back, since it was an expensive piece of equipment.   The whole thing was SUSPECT to me.  Therefore, I am reporting this.   Please look into it.   Thanks.
