(Not the same Bob complaining about Google) Live call to business phone.  Asked for name which I've previously provided for telemarketers, so I know they have gotten my info from a previous pre-record/telemarketing call.  Indian sounding guy asking questions about the business and that this wasn't a sales call but talking about Google services (which I know most are free, except AdWords).  Transferred me to a lady, and she was very very very reluctant to admit her pushing her "promotion" as a "sales call".  Claimed she could offer me a spot on Google's site for a fee (but was a "promotion", not a "sales call"). Also seemed to imply that "registering your keywords" on Google was something that Google charged $100 in order to do.  Seriously?  Not likely, unless it was AdWords, which is a CPC.  They got a "C" on BBB, and there are listings on ripoffreport.com.  She stated that even Disney World had complaints.  True, but WDW has an A+ rating... Obviously I declined the offer, despite her taking about 25 minutes on the call, and wondering when a good time to go to Disney World would be...

We get these "recorded" calls daily.  We have registered our number on the "Do Not Call" list.  What else can we do?  This is a business line they call and can be very interrupting!

Anyone who puts their number on the Do (Not) Call list WILL BE CALLED by telemarketers.  Why?  Because, how do you think telemarketers know who not to call unless this list is given to them??

Now, with this list, they know exactly who has a working phone and answers it.  So, they will call all the time.  Caller ID blocking, as well as "robot" calling (mass dialing) is very cheap, and they can dial ALL of your working phones for pennies on the dollar.

When you are connected to a person to let them know to take them off their list, or press "2" to be removed, you have just confirmed to the company that you answer that number and it is active, giving them the opportunity to sell your number to all of their telemarketing partners, so they can call you all day long.

The Do (Not) Call list is nothing but a giant directory of working phone numbers that are provided to telemarketers.  They may even be charged for access to the list, since our government is broke.  

Additionally, filing a complaint won't do anything.  Our government can't even handle major tasks like passing a budget, what makes you think they have the time, resources, or inclination to go chase after some telemarketer who is violating possibly the biggest joke in government?  Complain to your Congressman or Senator all you want, but it won't accomplish anything, since there are so many loopholes to defend the people that call you (remember, the people that call you have paid for your elected officials to get into office to begin with).  These people agreed to the Do (Not) Call list, as long as it provided many lengthy loopholes that these companies could work around, thus rendering any actual do NOT call list practically useless, not to mention impossible.

I agree, a long time ago I came  to the conclusion that arguing with these people, asking them to remove you from their list, or what ever you want to do so they stop calling, they will not listen, just multiply the calls, these calls have been coming to my number form numerous callers long ago I use to argue with them, no more I had to however disconnect my answering machine, so that they would not leave a massage than they do not know if they reached a live number or not, so I just had to find other ways to have people be able to reach me and find me, basically my phone number is useless (its a land line) I just look at the caller id and keep going the phone rings up to 12 15 times & they hang up they either call back latter that day or in a few days weeks or so, I have learned to live with it hoping that one day this nite mare will be over. The phone calls start mon  am  till fri pm every day, and every week I lost track of how many numbers call each day, its like a virus on a computer that you cannot get rid of.

Rang up Home Loan something, but it was Sharon the recorded Google specialist saying they could guarantee our company front page access.  Gives you the option to press 1 to talk to a specialist or 2 to be removed

This board is simply a sounding board for people to vent and inform others of scam telemarketing calls they receive.  There is no authority associated with the 800notes site to stop these callers.  In order for people to collectively stop these type calls they must act together - and TAKE ACTION!  It doesn?t do any good to complain about a caller on this board unless you then take the next step and do something about it!  The caller ID number is usually a ?Spoof Number? ? A Fake!  Never, never, ever engage the caller or call back the number.  The false robocallers will then capture your number as a ?live one? and use it over and over and sell it to other scammers.  The same goes if it prompts you to ?press a key? to ?opt out?  of their calling lists, or be transferred to someone, as this will only ?log? your number as a working one and make it ripe for future calls and to be sold to other scam companies as well.
The best option is simply to hang up, keep your own list of calling numbers with dates and times and report them to the FCC below.  There is space on their complaint form to list several calling dates and times of a repeat caller.
The DO NOT CALL list is worthless, they do not act on anything, just build a database of numbers.
In order to do something to help stop these type calls, everyone - EVERYONE needs to file an online complaint directly with the FCC.  If they receive enough complaints about a particular number - they will act on it.  Do it today and pass along the info:

Actually, I too have "blocked" a large number of these calls but they just get another number and wham you have multiple calls once again.  I have blocked at least 50 of their numbers.  So good luck with the blocking.

Another day, another twit scammer calling and harassing because the moron thinks we are all as stupid as they are.  Called @ 12:15 pm and listened to our entire greeting before hanging up.  Guess, I must have a real sexy voice !!!!! As far as complaining to Google is concerned, don't waste your time because they could care less if businesses are harassed.  Several years ago we used to receive spams @ our secondary email from every dimwit, nitwit, moron Arab spammer in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan et al using Google email advertising Subway restaurants, bridal shops, resorts, properties, microsoft classes, etc., etc.  Every time we complained to Google by providing copies of the spams they never took any action.  These arabs were such idiots, they would spam us and display email address of all their contacts.  So we would forward those worthless spams back to every moron on that stupid list laced with profanity.  Some of those morons had the audacity to complain about the profanity we had used.  My reply was simple: complain to the jack a** moron who spams us by displaying your email address.  After that we just blocked that secondary email from receiving any mail except from selected contacts.

I hate google, Ive emailed them and told them to remove our number from all of their marketing lists but they keep calling our business non stop. We block their #, then after a few tries of being blocked they call back a few days later from a different # and we block that one.

When it came time to pay I told him I was broke and had no credit card but had some okay looking HOes and would like to trade my HOes services for their google ad service. He said no, I then told the guy I thought he was a faygot by the way he talked and that I had some male HOes that would take care of him good in exchange for their google ad services and he hung up on me.
