I received the same call, these guys stated they were calling on the behalf of Cash Advance USA. I have never done business with Cash Advance USA and have my bank statements to prove no money from them was wired to my bank account.  I was being threatened to be taken to court and if I did not pay the $587.00 I would be picked up by the police.  The claim Cash Advance USA contact them through IC3 and they are with IC3.  Well I reported this to my local FBI organization and they told me that first off, IC3 doesn't hand situations  like that and to post my own report/claim against them.  In the email I received I was given all kinds of different amount from 900.00 something to 4,000.00 but when they called they only said $587.00.  The representative begin yelling at me and then hung up.  So when I called back he told me that I must write an apology letter and send them a picture ID.  So he called back today and I told them I sent in my own IC3 report/claim against them and then he said he would send the proof/papers to court, so I told him if he don't stop harrassing me I will give their number to my local FBI organization and I called the person sir, he/or she starting yelling saying, you called me sir! That person got really rude.  Also their accent is very thick, yet they go under an American name; this person told me their name is David Cooper.  The number that I was given is: 6616753875.  I am so sorry they got my personal information, but they must be stopped.  I have already taken the necessary action, so hopefully they can put a stop to this and put them behind bars where they belong hacking into websites and getting people's personal information.

This number has called me 30 times in the last 3 days. They say I was being sued and threatened me on my voicemail if I didn't call them back. They accuse me of taking a payday loan and not paying it back. I have never got a payday loan before.

not sure what they are talking about. but i will get my lawyer on this. .called me on Easter Sunday 40 times. saying they have a sue against my name and social

i received a call saying that they was going filed charges against me for a payday loan the company name he call out i don't have a loan with that company the man was very rude hung up on me at least twice.

i received a call saying i would be taken to court for non payment of a pay day loan. i told the man to come and get me, i was waiting for the mothership but i will go with them instead and they hung up on me..it is a total scam.and they do need to be stopped!

I received a call this morning at work stating that I am being charged in the morning with three Federal Crimes. Ranging from Bank Fraud to Identity Theft. They said I would be charged tomorrow morning in Federal Court. They gave me Shawn Woods Law Office number to call. I called and the Indian that answered was very rude and hung up on me. I needless to say was very upset. I started googling and found I am not alone. THIS MUST BE STOPPED!! THIS IS VERY WRONG. I did file a police report they need to be stopped.

I got a call and voicemail which I could not understand, so I called back and spoke with one Indian dude who barely spoke English and introduced myself as "senior investigations officer" HA! saying that I owe money for some cash advance and there was a suit filed against me. I work for a real law firm here and I checked the civil complaints and there is nothing against me, not to mention they would need to serve me the summons and file the suit in my county and not remotely from California.

Long story short, he engaged into screaming match I guess to scare me off when I asked for debt verification documents, which collectors are required to provide upon request. I told him not to dare calling again and ended the call.  

Don't let these people fool you and before you pay anyone, make sure to request the debt verification statements sent to you by mail. if the debt is valid, mail them the payment by money order and don't give out your bank account info.

I received the same call just this morning and boy did I let them have it. After a few minutes I was able to find out that the company that was "sueing me" was 500 fast cash. I told the guy who said his name was Jack Garcia that I had never had a "pay day loan" with any company! I asked for the number of 500 fast cash (an online payday loan service) and was told that if I went to there web site I would find all of their information. Strange.........if they were a "Law Firm" they would have all of the information at hand. Never the less.........I did just that.........found them pretty quickly and gave them a call. After checking the number that the "ANDERSON LAW FIRM" called me on for an account..........none was found. I told her I knew I didn't and have never had an account with them. I gave her the number they called me on and she confirmed it was indeed a SCAM. She said that they had there own collections department and would always identify themselves as collections for 500 fast cash. She them procceeded to give the the FTC website and homeland security phone number and asked me to give them a call and report it to them. Homeland security number is 989-497-0580 and the FTC web site is just that.........www.ftc.gov.

Hope this helps.............and just so you know.........you don't go to jail for defaulting on a few hundred dollar "payday loan." NOt that I've ever had one, but it just sounds a bit extreme.

Recieved a telephone offer CLAIMING they understood I requested a replacement ID. Quality novelterra ID's fully equiped with al security features pertaining to the state issued. The strange vocoded voice said to email jspade 50 at yahoo. Holographic, Encrypted 2D bcode, Metallic/Pearlescent overlays, Encrypted Magstripe Cartoon characters included on card. Beautiful legality. Of course they are not acceptable for proper identification. damn scammers.

I'd like to further elaborate on the workings of these "scammers."  A friend of mine.. who is actually out of state working.. recieved a call stating to be The Dept. of Justice and Investigations. They apparently sounded quite angry and claimed to have evidence and whatnot against me and were searching for ME. My friend called me immediately.. naturally warning me that the Dept of Justice was looking for me. (lol.. I was a bit unnerved to say the least.)
A couple hours later I received a call from 951-252-2613. I didn't answer it originally. An hour later I called back the number and a man answered claiming to be a rep of the Anderson Law Firm.. who stated to have evidence and demanded my whereabouts etc etc.. (note - I could barely understand what the guy was saying..) he eventually said that the lawyer who needed to speak to me asap was in a meeting and would return my call in 15.. he wanted my Cel/Home and my Name. I gave him a bogus name and said the phone was my friends though they could reach me on that number.  I went online and reverse tracked the number finding its whereabouts, service provider, address and eventually stumbled upon this website. HMMZ..    I called my out of state friend and asked him to txt the number which had called him claiming to be the dept of justice... behold the illumination of the last piece to the puzze.. the numbers were Identical. Beware.. and always do your research.

FYI, Temecula is halfway between LA and San Diego, in southern California.  Sacramento is up north.

I just got a call from that Anderson Law Firm with the same issue.  Payday loan never paid off.  I confronted the caller and told him that I knew what the call was about and that I was the one filing a case against them.  He was so surprised to hear that I did my research on the web and knew every detail about their scams.  I even threatened him to file that case against me because I have my bank statements and I even have a letter from the company that originated the loan saying that I paid off my balance.  To make it short, he said that they will delete my number from their list. For you people out there going thru the same situation, get a letter or receipt confirming that you paid off to protect yourself from scams, it's the law!

This is the 3rd time that I've gotten a call of this nature since January, 2011! They began calling again today, and this time the callers claim they are from the Anderson Law Firm.  The individual names given are William Davis and Micheal Johnson.  They are claiming that I received an online payday loan in 2010 that I never paid back. NOT TRUE!  I went along with the caller to try and get as much information out of them as possible, since I had been through this before (only the first couple of times they claimed the call was from the United Nations). They refuse to give any information concerning the loan, other than it is for $350, but they want me to write an apology letter AND include my debit card  number so they can electronically withdraw funds from my account.  They even threatened to have me arrested on my job for not cooperating, even though they wouldn't give me the needed information to pay my "debt!"  After the guy hung up on ME, he proceeded to call back 4 consecutive times, leaving a threatening message on my voice mail after the last call.   Can anyone please tell me what can be done to stop these scammers.  And it's obvious they are calling from cell phones because the connection is very bad. PLEASE HELP!

I kept getting a call from an unknown number and then when I did answered my cell phone a week ago and said I was getting sued for a pay day loan that I never paid back. When I asked when did I do the pay day loan. The so called man named SHAWN WOODS told me in 2010 and I said I never had a pay day loan then and then he changed the year to 2009. I told him that I did pay back my loan and he proceded to Yell at me " ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!!!" They say they are lawyers. I have never heard of a lwyer answering the phone saying HELLO. Also you hear other people in the back ground like they are in a empty wearhouse. They are sending me papers and also asked me if I got there e-mail. I said no I didnt. Then they hang up on me. I blocked my number and called them back and said I was a lawyer and was representing my self. They ask who my client was and gave them my name and then they said that they have never heard of my name. Then called them back and then they tell me to take a pill and go to bed. These people need to be stopped!!!!!!!!!!!! How can we get these people to get arrested and get criminal charges put on them and serve time?????
