call, if I let my machine pick up they hang up. If I answer they say nothing.

Called looking to try to collect a small debt that they claim I owed.

They have called three times. Are they definetly legit because they told my husband about a settlement offer then called again today with a higher amount saying he messed up. i mean should we all just answer if if people we owe money to?

Not gonna let these jerks at BCR get the best of me.  Since I KNOW they are not calling for me, I let all their calls roll to voicemail then at the end of the evening-I dump em all.  Dumbasses.  If they want to call 3, 4, 5, times a day, go right ahead doesn't make me a bit of difference.  BTW they have at least 7 phone numbers-probably more.  Most of the time the #s come in with a 202 A/C or BLOCKED and even 800#s.  I would be embarrassed if I worked for this company.  Being a complete ididot must be part of the job criteria.

I just filed a complaint with FTC, going to call the telephone company and try the others you mentioned. But I did call 1 888 276 8209 and talked to ZACK, SHAWN, RACHEL, SALLY, JOHN and Tom. Zack stopped taking my calls and hung up on me a few times, so did Shawn. I kept telling them Zack was my personal collector and I thought I might be messing up his talk time or commission but hey, they keep calling so they must want to talk. Finally Rachel said she would take me off, so we will see. If I get another call I'm calling them back and calling and calling and calling. I don't care why they are calling I said stop....

Give them a call or several but don't tell them anything till they say they will take your name off their list. HTH

I reported them to the FTC, FCC, and the United States Attorney General.
My attorneys are working on it, and I will soon know something soon.  Their practice of calling and not saying anything but just to hangup is not only a damn nuisance, it is also a form of harassment.
I have contacted the telephone company and they too will be tracking the call, and along with that, I have made formal charges with the Banking industry, and that part of the government that handles it.. (it escapes me now the name).
If everyone filed a form of complaint against morons like this, then possibly something might get done.  Complaining without action is just as bad as standing in front of a 777 as it lands, and not move out the way. Or, allowing a semi to run you over time and time again without moving.

I just received a call from this number. I couldn't get to my phone in time. He left a message saying this is Doug from BCR and then hung up.

They ask for me I then tell them I'm not available & to what this is regarding, then they put me on hold so I then hang up!!!
