Receive threatening phone calls at work to pay off my HSBC.  they offered me a settlement of 85%, which I said no to, I offered a lower amount and they began yelling at me.  First I was on the phone with a man, then when I offered the lower settlement he transferred me to a woman who screamed at me.

I got a voicemail on my cell phone from Andrew Jackson with CPC. After much research on the internet, I learned that CPC is Central Portfolio Control Inc. They are a collection agency.

ALSO RECEIVED A CALL FROM A LADY BY THE NAME OF MICHELLE ALEXANDER TO BOTH MY HOME AND WORK. MY HOMEPHONE CALLER ID SHOWS A PHONE # (415)545-0009.  THE LADY LEFT A MSG "I AM MINCHELLE ALEXANDER, PLEASE CONTACT ME OR YOUR ATTORNEY AT (888) 308-6433 TODAY OR ELSE MY REQUEST IS SATISFIED."

I ALSO CALLED THE SAME NUMBER AND SPOKE WITH MRS ALEXANDER FROM CPC(CENTRAL PORTFOLIO CONTROL) SHE WAS VERY NICE AND RESPECTFUL TO ME. NOT SURE WHAT "NATIONAL RECOVERY GROUP" THAT YOU MENTIONED IS BUT MAYBE YOU(LISA) SHOULD DO A LIL MORE RESEARCH OR EVEN CALL AND GET ANSWERS FROM HER I'M SURE SHE WILL ANSWER THEM !!! SO INSTEAD OF MAKING A CALL TO HER YOU COWARD OUT AND SAUGHT COUNCEL ? WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF???

i called the same number and spoke with mrs alexander who is from cpc (central portfolio control) and she was very nice to me and very respectful maybe you should do a lil more research and maybe even call her to see why she is calling you .....

Got a call from a Ms. Alexandra, claiming I don't know what's going on and I should call her back. She claims she's from CPC. I've already seek counsel for this because they are breaking privacy rules. They should get sued.

I also think they are related to National Recovery Group.

This was my old number from 3 years ago.  I have nothing to do with it.  It sounds like a pretty nasty company using it now.  Too bad.

I didn't pick up the call on my cell since I suspected that it is either a sales call or one of those shady calls. I then called the number back from my caller id (888-308-6421). When I ask the guy who I am calling all he would say is CPC and proceed to ask me what number am I calling back. As I went on to tell him that I was calling back whats on my caller ID, he hanged up.

So what can we do to get back at them beside filing a report with the do not call list?

Everyone start calling their 888,800, 866 number back as many times as you want from a land line or on your cell when it wont cost you.

Why? Because we call them on their tool free number, it cost them. So lets rack up their phone bill

rec'd msg from "mr bradford" stating he had information i would want to be made aware of. number left to return call was 888/308-6433.

I recieved a call from an Andrew from CPC with this call back number... ( 888-315-2981.... He left a message saying that It was involving a 12 yr old girl, and if I didnt call back I would be in "big trouble". I do not plan on returning the call

The number is a company called CPC. They called my son and then me. Left threatening messages and screamed at me for screening my calls. I don't know what they are calling for but I reported them. They break so many collection rules I am surprised they are still in business.

Received call from the number on my voice mail. The subject identified himself as Eric Wright - said this was a "documented" call (whatever that means)before an attorney is brought in. He left two numbers to call back: 888-315-2981 and 888-308-6433 - said if he was not in to ask for his assistant, Mr. Bradford. The guy tried to sound very threatening - but the bottom line is if it is a legitimate call the individual would leave some information as to what the call is about. I believe he said the name of his company was CPC.

did some research: # tracks me to a Daniel Shand 7909 telegraph rd. bloomington mn. website shows azure-usa.com, which sells furniture. the company shows a # (952)944-6525(no answer) the original # that had been calling us was not in service when i called it back 10 mins.later

they are scam artists that get your report by hacking certain websites. they make up bull s*** company names and try to trick you into paying them.

I too received a call from 952-944-9708.  Didn't know who they were, and I didn't answer the call...

This number (952-944-9708) Has left messages which I find walking the line of harassment. I have had multiple messages left on my voice mail, and they all state that "I have your file on my desk" and that I need to call back "because this concerns me personally", or something to that effect. They sound intimidating on the phone, and I have no answered or called back due to the debt my ex ran up on my credit cards that I just found out about. So, I am assuming they are collectors...

a man named josh schult called and asked for my husband or myself, i said neither one was home. the man said "either (my husband's name) or his lawyer needs to call asap with this number cnt19887. i freak out over the lawyer part and call my husband at work . he says its probably something stupid, he was right according to you all on here. thanks!

They are trying to get you to sign up for Visa.
The approach of the message left is a desperate tactic to get you to call them back and sign up .
If they sound intimidating and the person calls the number back , they throw the Visa pitch at you for 0% APR for one year .

I received a call from this number and did not answer it. I then received a messaged to call back phone #: 1-888-308-6434. A lady named Shirley answers.

Tasja Vascas left a message, using my full name saying that she "has a decision that needs to be rendered, with or without my approval." kind of creepy..however, she sounded very nice in the message. i don't think I'll call back due to some outstanding debt I have.
