They call despite the fact we have registered in the do not call list. Caller comes up as unknown in the caller id. We don't pick up.

This number calls me constantly. I tried to call them back after reading these messages, and it says "call can not be completed as dialed." There has to be a way for everyone getting these calls to file a harassment claim.

I get phone calls from this number they do not say anything just breath into the line. I hang up.

This number just called and said that I put down half the money for a vacation package that I never used.  When I asked 'when?' they hung up.  When I called back it said it was the customer service department and asked for an extension.. I pressed any number and got a woman who asked to put me on hold and hung up. These people are SOOO annoying and they keep calling!! What a scam!

Calls my phone 3 times per day. I thankfully have it on a call block but when will they get the picture I am not going to ever answer.

I'm on the "do not call" list, like that does any good.  They call repeatedly and hang up when I answer.  ID says BESM.

Like many previous posts shown here, I am getting 6 to 8 calls to my cell phone per day.  There is never anyone on the other end--if my phone rings at all (on my end), I only hear one ring.  Many times, caller I.D. shows an incoming call from this number, but my phone never even rang.

I've been getting calls, too. I did purchase a cruise, havn't taken.  However.  Just don't answer or turn the tables and hang up firts.  if they want to waist their time.  whatever!

Have been receiving these calls for months. Most times it hangs up when I answer.  They went as far as saying they would charge my credit card for the balance of a down payment.  Told them I would pursue fraud charges if they dared.  I will contact Florida Attorney Generals Office.

This is a Scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They got me for $250.00 for a cruise 18 months ago. I just got off the phone with them 12/22/11 4:00 pm. and I told them that I just placed it in as a lost because I never received any paper work on the cruise. I then said; but sense I have you on the phone can I get my money back? He said it been 18 months; I said I know and you calling back for more money and your getting an attitude; like I O U money, he then hong up on me.

These people have started calling me.  I don't answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize, so have never picked up.  I also refuse to answer if they don't bother to leave a message.  I will just continue to ignore them until they give up and stop calling me.

Call them back, press zero, demand info about the company as required by law.  Then tell them that you contacted carnival internal marketing and the Broward Sheriff's office and they are aware of it and investigating it

It's a scam from ft lauderdale, call them back and say you talked to carnival marketing and the broward sheriff's office they are investigating it currently. then tell them to p****off.

I couple of yrs ago, I had gotten a call from them and signed up for a vacation package and immediately paid the $100+ (not sure of the amt.) for my ticket. All that had to be paid was the second ticket. It was for a cruise and Ramada stay. To this day, I have never taken said trip. They called and I answered today. They said they had to close my account b/c I didn't use it OR they could transfer what I paid to a new trip. It would cost $997 for the second person. I said that I could not afford it right now. He said he could extend the timeline to 2013. They needed a CC# or Debit card # which I could not and would not give. They said they would close my acct and I would lose the money. I am annoyed, but I had figured it was already gone.

Started receiving calls from this number about a month now.  I was suckered into a "free" vacation about 2 yrs ago.  When I went, it was really a time share scam.  Very rude and very aggressive people.  When you book the vacation you have to pay for the transportation, "taxes" for the plane, "taxes" for the cruise, for the parking,for the drinks on the cruise, the extra night in the hotel since you are only covered for 3 of the 4 or 5 of the 6 days that you are there.  You have to drive yourself to the hotel, then to the 90 min "presentation", which was actually 4 hours of non stop aggressive sales tactic.  You spend time with the sales guy who tells you the time share is $25k, then when you say no, you meet the "manager".  He tells you the time share will then be $13k just because.  And then when you say no again, you meet the closer who will tell you that the time share will be $5k.  When we went on the cruise we were told the cruise was overbooked and that we would be on standby.  So essentially we waited for 3 hours while everyone else was boarding and then "miraculously" there was room for us.  We were then stuffed into the absolutely smallest cabin I have ever been in.  We barely had room for our luggage and us.  Could only open the luggage by putting it on the bed and having the other person stand in the bathroom.  

The hotel was Ramada and it was one of the most dingy and smelly hotel rooms I have stayed in.  They don't even give you any shampoo and other bathroom accessories.  Will never stay in a Ramada hotel again.  I was so glad to finally be home from my "free" vacation that ended up costing me about $800 for plane tickets, "taxes", port fees, extra hotel stay, drinks, gas and parking (which could only be paid by cash).  DO NOT GET SUCKERED IN WHATEVER THEY TELL YOU.  IT IS NOT FREE AND YOU WILL BE PLAGUED BY THEM YEARS AFTER.   Never again will I enter my name into a "win a free....... whatever" contest.

This number called me today.  Harassing me telling me that I owe for a vacation I put a down payment on 3 years ago, and never went on.  so now I either pay 700.00 or forfeit the trip and they will put me into collection.  Scam!!!   Wanted a credit card. I wouldn't give it.  They said they would turn it over to their collection dept.

Have you got this figured out because I am in the same boat. How do you get them to stop? I have a call blocker on my phone so I don't have to talk to them nor do they get my voice mail. At this point, I am not to worried but would like it to stop.

I keep asking this company to stop calling me.  I was told I made a partial payment on a cruise and the balance is due.  The jerk said I paid the deposit in Jan of 2010.  That's impossible because I was off-work due to an upcoming surgery.  I would not have paid a deposit on a cruise that I knew I wouldn't be able to take.

I want this # blocked. They call me at least 5 times a day with no answer on the other line it's annoying!

Signed up to go to a time share presentation in June 2011, from which, we would receive a weekend in Las Vegas with hotel and flights paid for. My husband and I were about to arrive at the presentation when a woman called my phone to confirm my information. Upon telling the women that I owned no credit cards, and I only have a debit card available I was told I was ineligible to attend. So we returned home.

I assume from all the previous posts that this is how my phone number was obtained from these scammers. I've never taken a cruise with anyone but Carnival, nor have I stayed at any hotel in the Ramada hotel chain. I refuse to answer their calls. Hopefully they stop soon. Not worried about my debit card info, as I have recently gotten a new one, and they definitely don't have my SSN to impact my credit report in any way, but it would be fun to mess with them on the phone one of these days to see how angry I can make them. :)

I've also been getting these hang-up calls.  I called the FCC center: 888-225-5322, to register a complaint, hoping to get help in stopping the calls.

They said I should call the Federal Trade Com: 877-382-4357.

The protocol at the FTC is that they do not act on individual complaints.  So, if enough of you guys will please call the FTC and register a complaint, maybe someone will shut this BESM thing down.

I did my part, now is the time for the rest of you to put up or shut up.

Free way to block numbers on your cell is to create a contact named "SPAMMERS" on your phone and assign as many numbers as it will take, with no ring associated.  Then "SPAMMERS 2", etc.
Actually, what we started doing is using money orders for mail order items, and bought one of those prepaid visa things at Wal Mart, and putting just enough on it to make an online purchase (needs some preplanning, but it's working) so our actual regular CC info never gets out.  It's worth a try.
You are right about even the calls you initiate...we've started getting calls for the phony "gas card" scam right after we bought something from a circular in the paper and called in the order.  Everyone is trying to get their hand in your wallet.

These stalkers have been calling my phone around 9 am every morning.   When I answer, they hang up.  I complained to Verizon about the calls, and was told that the customer is on their own as far as solving the problem.

However, if I want to block the number, there is a monthly charge.  I think it was $6.99(?)  Seems like the phone company could really make out if enough of us get freaked out enough to pay for the right to be left alone.

Maybe there is a government agency that can do something about this problem.  Now that I know how many of us are getting these strange calls, I intend to start asking.

These people call me at least twice a day every day for the past 2-3 months.  They even call on Sundays.  Whenever I answer, they hang up, whenever I call back, they hang up.  I'm really starting to get irritated by this whole thing.
