Since honest companies do honor the Do Not Call list, what does that tell you about the sales calls you do receive?

I received a call from this number but did not answer it.  They left no message.  We get calls like this all the time even though we are on the do not call list.  What good does the no call list do when companies like this can still get through?

ANSWERED, WOMAN ASKED WHO WAS IN CHARGE OF THE PHONE, INTERNET, AND CABLE.
She told me she was in Arizona, call routed through Florida.
THEN I ASKED WHAT THE PURPOSE OF THE CALL WAS, AND THAT I WAS ON THE NO-CALL LIST.
SHE HUNG UP INSTANTLY.

Never mentioned Century Link.

This company says the are from Century Link calling to verify my phone lines and internet service. Since I do not have internet through them, I asked for her number to call her back, she gave me 800-603-6000 which is Century Link, but the caller ID said 954-337-1448. They are actually MPI Communications from Fort Launderdale, FL

Likewise, I keep getting this phone number on my caller ID on my work phone.  How should we turn this over to someone that can make it stop?  Thanks to everyone that took the time to let me know that this annoying call is not important!

caller said they were from century link and said they owned and operated phone lines which they do not. started asking questions about services and internet service providers and questions that were not appropriate in callers opinion.

Got a call from this number - but no message of sound at the other end of the call.  Call comes from Fort Lauderdale, FL

Another thick accented woman called our two work lines.  The first time she wanted to talk to the person in charge of our phone bill.  The second call went to our other line and asked for someone that we'd never heard of.  Definitely seems like a scam.

Call received from Tasha claiming to be a Century Link employee out of Phoenix.  I asked for her phone number so I could verify she was who she said she was.  She would not provide.  Caller ID said call came from Florida.

A thick-accented gal saying she represents centurylink trying to talk to the person in charge of our phone.

I've been seeing this number show up on my caller id at work the last week, so I finally answered it to see what they wanted.  It was a woman who wanted to give me a free subscription to a trade magazine.  I told her I was not interested and to please stop calling.

A trade magazine was the purpose of the call but it originated by a company owned out of Guyana NPI, here is their website, http://npicommunications.com/services.html

954 337 1448  unknown name no message, hung up,  scam or something

This call hung up; I called back and got brief music, then an unintelligible recording.  It's Broward Co., FL

we receive  this call at least monthly and it is in regard to a magazine subscription or renewal.  Thank you for providing details on this site.

Call my work number - # shows up on caller ID but no message is ever left and no identity on caller ID, just the phone #.

Called my house, left no message on my answering machine except for a single touch tone.
