Never had any scam calls until i got a new phone from ATT.  This number is the latest one.  It called me 5 times in a row today, leaving no msg.  I've received a lot of other scam calls too.  It's time for ATT to give me a new number or for me to move to a new carrier.

I suggest you folks who want to stop the telemarketers and jokers download the following FREE program.  It works like a million and you hear only ring.

Where do these people get private phone numbers. This is an invasion of privacy and if I find out who is calling they will get a new a-hole ripped. Shame on who ever is doing this.

Panasonic has a cordless phone that allows you to block 30 numbers.  It is available with 3 handsets.  Of course, I get over double that number, but just drop off the first ones and block the newest ones.  It hangs up on them, with the first ring and that's it.

Just received a call from that number and it was the State Troopers of Florida asking for money AGAIN!

Picked up phone & they hung up immediately, so I blocked my number & called them back.  I got an advertisement to go to MagicJack.com.  Also was told that this Magic Jack number was unassigned.  Sounds like some scammers are picking up unassigned phone numbers and routing their calls through them.  Just great!  :(

Nobody speaking.  Noise and echo of voices in the background, like a call center.  Caller hangs up after I say "Hello."  

Caller ID identifies as Deerfield Beach.

Just received call from this number. Don't have caller I.D. set up. attempted to call back number and I get recording that number is not valid.  Well, it's now blocked since we have a brighthouse phone with selective call block.  Yep, also on National Do Not Call Registry as well as an unlisted number. So they are using random dialer and targeting Florida area codes.  Do not fall for this scam!

Just got the call today.  Previously, when called by the "State Troopers" I have tried to explain to the caller:  My family friend who IS a FL State Trooper has asked everyone to NOT donate to you folks calling and if we want to support them, please donate to an office directly, the money will actually get to them that way.  Caller argued that my  money would go to the Troopers.  I asked what percentage?  He hemmed and hawed and couldn't answer me.  I asked if he was getting paid to sit there and call folks asking for money?  He said yes, in fact he is getting paid, he needs the money and the job. I told him it was great that he had a job and was making some money, but then asked him where the money he was being paid was coming from?  He didn't know.  He assumed it was someone wanting the help the Troopers.  I asked, wouldn't the kind benevolent soul just give their money to the Troopers rather than pay other people to call and ask for more?  He started realizing what I was saying.  I feel sorry for the poor saps that just think they've found a nice little job and are involved as the lowly call center for the scam artists.

They keep calling.  Caller ID says Deerfield Beach, FL.  What do they want?  Have no idea.  Never a message, I don't answer the phone anymore.  And now I'm getting political calls from 202 area code which is Washington DC.

A man with a Southern accent read a script about it being time for the state troopers to kick off their annual fundraising campaign and wanted to know if our state troopers could count on my support.  I told him I am on the do not call registry.  He replied that lots of their supporters are on the DNCR, so I told him to go bother them.  I already support the state troopers by paying my taxes.  He hung up on me.  Magic Jack allows their customers to select any area code they want.  Just because it displays a 954 area code doesn't mean the person is really calling from that area.  They could be anywhere.  The state of Florida state troopers have a site that states they do not call you for money.  If anyone asks you for a donation, and you really want to donate if it legitimate, ask that the literature be mailed to you for you to review.
