I received a call from a woman who new my name and my husband's name stating she had our names down for contacts for someone I had never hear of.  Said that it was holiday season and I should be nicer, gave me a fake name of her own and when I asked where she was calling from, she hung up on me.

haven't called back yet.  deciding whether to based on these posts.

i had the same thing happen to me but the phone number was 7579415700 that showed up on my caller id but the call back number she left was 9545434367 she said her name was miss o'conner and she said that there was a problem and that she knew that i was not aware of the situation that was at hand and that i needed to call her back by today.  i have had the same 7579415700 number show up three times on my phone this week and today was the first day she left a message.

hi  i was reading this post and i had the same thing happpen and i was wondering if they ever told anyone what the problem was or what it was about.  she has called me 3 times this week from a number and she just left me a message today saying that she knew that i didn't know what the situation was but i needed to call her today and  i find it kind of funny but i just wanted to know if its a scam or what it was.

I received a call from a Chistine O'Conner looking for my husband on my work cell.  I was puzzled how she got this number and she then had the nerve to ask why I was being rude to HER!!!  She too said it was important that my husband call her tonight and wanted me to make sure he called her.  I said I would forward the message, but I can't make him call anyone back.....  she then hung up on me.

I got the call in the morning, they said I owe credit card company money, if I don't pay they will send the case to IRS to lien me. I told them I will report to policy department.

Same as above, but she used the name Miss O'Conner  the call came from 757-336-8012, but the call back number was 954-543-4367. She said I'm not sure if you know whats going on, but a file about you came across my desk today.

I got a call this afternoon. They called and told me I supposedly owed on my Visa....wrong! I am still a current user of Visa. Not in the arrears. Scary...they knew my date of birth and last 4 digits of my SS#. Here is another number that called after them...they were working together: 954-543-4367 AND 310-424-5690. Should I call the law or who?? I think I'm going to go ahead and call the local police for information as to what to do.

i got a phone call from "kristine" saying she has been trying to get ahold of me and thaqt i haven't returned any of her messages. I received NO messages until this one. I didnt call her back because i figured she was from a collection agency. She sounded like it was very "imperative" that she talk to me today and that it was "urgent". Whatever! i'm not going to call her back!

call from 954-543-4367 today at 10:11AM... lady didnt give me her name... said she was looking for andrew martin... I said no one by that name lives here and she argued with me!!! She asked how long we had our phone number... I told her 6 years... this isnt the first time someone has called looking for andrew martin. Im wonsering if mr andrew martin gave them a fake number... or they have the wrong area code... cuz Im seriously going to yell at the next person who tries to tell me Im lying for andrew! I DONT KNOW ANYONE NAMED ANDREW MARTIN!!!

These guys are nothing but crooks.  Report them. There is a Michelle and a Mr. Adair. They try to sound official.  Sheriffs ofc and atty. general know bout them and checking them out.  Arrests soon to follow. I am working on tracking them and letting a few people in there pay for their actions.

I just had the same thing happen to me . They said there was a problem with my 1099. I asked if they were with the IRS. She said no we are a mediation company. IE bill collector. I hung up immediately. Then they called back and left an annoyed message and said it was mandatory that I call them back by 5pm. "Or they would go thru the process of my whatever."

I didn't answer, but a person named Mr. Adair has been calling (for the last 3 or 4 months) almost everyone in my family (my brother, my mother, my father, and my sister), saying that it is very important that he contact me. Of course my family called me and gave me this number to call back. I never called back. Now a person named Stephanie Martin is calling from this same number. She left a message at 2:56 pm today (12/8/08) saying she worked for a company called CRA and that she is 100% sure I don't know about what ever it is she is calling about, but that it is extremely urgent that she speak to me immediately (or my personal representative, lawyer, in my home state), and to call her back with a set of numbers XXX-XXX when I return her call.  I don't know what she wants, but I suspect that it is a collection agency or a new way to steal identities. If this company was legit they would have already contacted me by mail. I have no intention of ever answering this call nor will I ever call them back. I am checking into having this number blocked from reaching my phone.
