I have received calls that say, "Hi, I'm Sunny(?) from the Carpet Cleaning Company."  I then have the option of pressing 1 for an appointment or 3 to be removed.  The last time I received the call I pressed 3.  I got another call today and pressed 1.  The person on the other end asked if I wanted to make an appointment.  I said no and that I had pressed the 3 the last time I got a call and did not want them to call me again.  The person hung up on me.

954-656-7898 has called me twice in the past month...same Sunny or Sonny carpet cleaning telemarketing recording using an illegal predictive dialer. Next time, if I get an opportunity, I'll make the appointment, then when whoever rings the door bell, I'll press the panic buttom on my security system and the Palm Beach County SWAT team will arrive.   These folks apparently use what's called a spoof Caller ID card that I understand can be purchased on the Internet.  With it, you can electronically fool Caller ID by programming in a phone number other than the one from which you are actually making the illegal telemarking calls. These folks may be smart enough or just lucky programming in a non-working number or more likey anonyomous cell number(s).

They are relentless. RHINOSHIELD INC., of Fort Lauderdale has alreay paid a hefty fine in Palm Beach County Circuit Court for making at least 11 illegal calls to phone numbers on either the state or federal Do-Not-Call lists. Despite this, RHINOSHIELD INC. called me from 954-942-9485 on July 8, 2008. That is a sometimes working residential number in Pompano Beach, FL.

RHINOSHIELD's real number in Fort Lauderdale is 954-537-4733 and its President is Jay Zlotnick. Why not give Jay a call with whatever product or service your business sells so Jay gets to understand the rage we feel when businesses like his thumb their nose at the law and invade our privacy. Be sure to explain to Jay (bet his goons don't let you get to him) that you aren't really selling/violating the law, just passing along your sentiments about bottom-feeding, outlaw telemarketers.

I only know that they're called Sunny's Carpet, serving the bay area. I pretended to be interested in setting an appointment. I played dumb and asked if there would be a Coit truck arriving so I'd know if it was ok to let them in. She said, no Sunny's Carpet.

i get these calls ALL the time!!! I dont have caller id but i press 1 to get "an appt" and said please do not call me again and they hang up so rude!!!!

They call here weekly.  Same exact thing - I ask them to remove from list and they hang up.  wish someone could fine them !! carpet cleaning

I wouldn't be surprised if these are identity thieves. I had a call saying it was XM radio, but I hung up and called XM using their website phone info, and they hadn't heard of the person I'd talked to or the telephone they gave me.

The fact that this one is pervasive and seems to be using carpet cleaning as their excuse, well, I'm suspicious. Either it's a scummy cleaner trying to get around Do Not Call, or it's identity thieves trying to get info. Who knows.

Either way, don't bother even talking to them. I hope the lot of these scum get football-sized hemorrhoids.

Today is the second time this past week I received the call.  Last time, I waited for the person on the other end to pick up - when she did, I asked why she was calling me since I am on the do not call list. She hung up.  Today, I decided to schedule an appointment.  I first asked the name of the company and told the woman (different voice than last time)I wasn't sure about my schedule for next week. When I asked for a number to call her back, she hung up. Next time, I shall just schedule the appt. and have a couple of 'large' friends here when they arrive!!!  Obviously, they are able to input a fake return number which shows up in the caller id!!  Don't worry - we'll get em sooner or later.....

I get these calls all the time. Just a scam. I asked for the name of the business and they hung up.

Argh! They have been calling me constantly (used to go by "Charles the Carpet Cleaner" but now "Sunny" and it's infuriating. I told them I was on the Do not Call list and they hung up on me. This time I pretended to be interested but asked for their address or phone number since this was a bad time to talk. She said, "you're a really bad liar, you know that?" and hung up. I did report it to the do not call list but didn't have their phone number since it shows up as "private caller" - 954 area code is Orinda, right? She claimed to be based in San Francisco, but there is no business there by this name. Totally fraudulent.

Here's the problem.  Unfortunately, these morons have found a loophole.  IN State companies are exempt from the Do Not Call list.  So, they set up a fake company or get a Maryland number (my state in my case).  They are as unscrupulous as the car warranty arses who call your home and cell.  I like to put the call on speakerphone and say, "What?  I can't hear you? Huh?  Why aren't you speaking clearly?  Hello?  Hello?  Is anyone there?"  Aggravates the heck out of them and I get a laugh out of it.

I am also on the Do No Call list.  When my machine picks up they hang up.  They must be purchasing phoney phone numbers to dial us all.  My caller ID says "cell phone" but I don't fall for that.

Sunny's (that is how she spelled it) Carpet Cleaners has been calling me in California with either a Florida phone number or Private Name/Private Number appearing on my caller ID.  When I asked her why she was calling someone registered on the DO NOT CALL list she simply hung up on me.  But she called back again today...pretty damned dumb.  Now I'm getting phone calls from some "Warranty Service Center" another Florida number...makes me wonder if Florida just doesn't care about the National DO NOT CALL list.

If someone in the South FL area is looking to tint your windows (regular uv tint or saftey/hurricane) tint– stay far away from the company Rhinoshield Inc. The owner Jay Zlotnick does not stand behind his work or his contract. He will not return your call and once he gets your money thats it. The intall department Barry Koltun is rude and calls you back yelling profanity at you if you want to have something looked at and fixed that was installed. The installers even bad mouth the company saying that they are overpriced and money hungry!!! Stay far away from them!!!!!!

I got a call from a carpet cleaning service even though I am on a no-call list.  I foolishly set up an appointment for them to clean my carpets.

I am on the no call list also. Got the call from them, over and over, messages on the answering machine!! Today I was home, and I tried to ask questions to get info, and they hung up on me!  WHO EVER GETS A CALL SHOULD SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT, AND GET THE FULL INFO WHEN THEY COME TO REPORT IT TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!

After several calls hung up when I answered, I let this ring. Caller left no message, no way to ring back after star-69 ID'd it as 954-656-7898.
Dialing the number gets "The Nextel number you are trying to reach is not in service at this time."
What coward pussies.
Guessing it was the annoying coward man trying to give away an SUV, or the annoying coward woman trying to book carpet cleaning appointments. Or some new coward.
Cowards for them intruding into my quiet Sunday afternoon while hiding behind a "not in service" recording.
All this despite being on the federal do-not-call list, so why bother with the list?
Maybe someone with more time than I can crack this, put these cowards on a 24/7 auto-dialer. See how they like it.

got a call from them also, selling carpet cleaning service. I know if I just hung up they would call again so I acted as if I wanted their service and ASKED if we get disconnected to call me back. Well I hung up mind cal and sure enough they called me back as expected on their real line. I filled a complaint with the so not call registry and I want people here to know their real phone number so you can call them and bug them all day!

Got this call too.  It was a recording from "Sonny's Carpet Cleaning" (I think).  Ticks me off since I am on a no-call too.
