I just called back and pressed one to get on their do not call list.

The people behind the # are probably credit card scam artists (the # originates in Deerfield, Florida)(I'm in Canada). I've been called more than once from the same #, most of the time I let the answering machine screen the call but once I did pick up and the person on the other end said she was authorized BY MY BANK!.to lower my credit card interest rate.YEAH!, RIGHT!.......bogus. So if you get a call from any source of this nature do NOT hand over your credit card information to them!....Be smart, Be Safe.

How did they get that non-standard number?

boy did I make a mistake registering with the canadian 'do not call list', now these companies from out side the country can buy our numbers for $50

Called here too Mar 6, 09 @ 7:37pm Eastern Time zone.  Googled the number instead of picking up.  Maybe they will go away from me.

Recorded message: Second and final notice to lower your credit card rate...8:37 PM CST-3/6/09. This exact call has come from various numbers, but always area code 954. I've blocked many of the calls, but they have too many outgoing trunks to deal with all of them. Word of advice, once they have your number, if you see area code 954, pickup and hangup.

Same thing happened to me. We have a Do Not Call registry in Canada, so I pressed "1" and said that I was on the Do Not Call list so why are they calling me. They hung up.

I have had this same thing happen to me! Several times my husband and I have tried talking to one of the representatives and asking for their manager, what company they are with, or to remove us from the list and they just hang up immediately! It is VERY annoying!

These morons call once a week I keep telling them put me on the do not call list and they hang up and call back couple days later.
I reported them to a section of our government here because it's aganst the law for a company to continue calling someone after they have been asked to stop. But these jerks are probably in another country so nothing will get done..
The number that comes up on my phone is listed in... Pompano Beach, FL as "card services company" maybe next time I'm there I'll pay them a visit.

Call me at all hours of the night and when i pick up they dont talk, so i call back on my house phone cause im not getting long distance charges for no reason, i call they hung up, i call back again and the machine came on n said press 1 if you want us to stop calling.
Well i live in canada and im not going to call from my cell phone that's be hella harsh charges.

Saw the number on my call display, called it back to find out who it was and there was just a recording that said if you would like to be removed from our calling list press 1 now. So I did and then it said, thankyou, please allow 24hours for processing. Silly thing...

they called me with ....lower your interest rate deal.  i pressed 1 to talk to an operator.  he asked me if i wanted to lower my rates, i said no i just wanted to tell someone to @$*# off.

they called me back 45 seconds later from 720 204 1286.  i didn't answer.  i think he was going to return the compliment!!
