I received a call from this number today. I didn't recognize this number, so I did not pick up. I listened to the voicemail later, and the "official" sounding voice prompted me to "press 1 to hear your message." Stupid me, pressed 1 and nothing happened. I felt like a meathead, and it pissed me off.

The company I work for has received a call from this number every day. The man is arrogate and nasty. If I do not give him the person he want to speak to he hanfs up. When I ask what the call is in regards to he hangs up. How do we stop these calls. He goes by Mr. Scott.

On 1/11/13 I received a phone call on my cell phone (blocked number) from a Mike Phillips at Sun Energy stating that we had talked in the spring but that he had suffered a massive heart attack and was getting back to me.  He was selling degreaser & hand soap.  I told him I would consider it but that our company cannot accept product without product documentation such as an MSDS & SDS and proper approval paperwork.  I asked for documentation and not to send the product.  However, he was tricky enough that he said that he needed my home address for residential shipping insurance and I had given it to him.  At that point he asked about sending the invoice and I said no that I would not take the product because there was no documentation.  He then got frustrated and hung up on me. I see that many others have received similar or exact calls.  I dont know what to expect at this point but have reported it to the FBI.  Obviously this scam has been happening for years and needs to be stopped!

Just got off the phone with same girl. Said she came in to see me and do I always avoid beautiful women? I hung up on her

I received the same golf course heart attack call from Sun Energy Products. He was sorry that he had not been by in awhile and was concerned that we might be out of the material he supplied to us.  He said that he was going to send us some to get us by until he got out to see us.  A few weeks later we received 3 boxes of cleaner and degreaser.  A few weeks after that we received an invoice for $1215.00.  I called them and explained that i had no use for their material, had never heard of Sun Energy, and didn't order it.  They told me that they had a voice recording of the call where I ordered it.  I'm sure i didn't, but it is aggravating wasting my time on them.  I've now been waiting a couple of months for them to have it shipped back.  Is there anything that can be done to keep this from happening again?

These people are a nuisance and should not be allowed to have a phone. I am reporting them to the no call list. Due to the fact we are on the no call list and they have called us repeatedly. Do not even give these people your time. They are crooks.

I got a call from a guy who said his name was Mike Davis and he had recently had a heart attack.  He wanted to sell me de-greaser and wanted to send me something in the mail.

"Shelly Thompson" also keeps calling our company attempting to reach our division manager... She stats that she is returning his call and is extremely rude.  She's called multiple times over the weeks.

hilarious Mike Phillips tried calling again saying he from Philips industries and one of our managers called him and he is returning his call. Which they called from a different number last tuesday saying the same thing. Told him manager was in meeting and said he didnt know who you are and wasnt expecting a call as he did not call. He said then Our other manager called him and i said no you guys called last week and he kepting asking what i said. Then he told me he dont need to talk to me. Get a life. It also is the same guy who was very rude to me before. Sorry  your lives suck.

I got the same call on my cell phone from the same number from a guy with a thick New Jerseyish accent.  Same exact story.

Received a call from a very rude lady.  Call started out by saying "Your plant manager, who would that be?"...I asked who was calling and how I could help them...she said she was from Delta Industries and that she had met with the plant manager last week in an extensive meeting regarding a very important project, but didn't write his name down in his notes...(can you say red flag?) I said I would be more than happy to take her name and number and that if he was interested he would call back, she said, "What don't you understand?  Put me through to his voicemail so I can leave a detailed message... do you want your company to lose this deal?  What kind of a receptionist are you?"  I replied, "an excellent one...and once again told her what I could do....she hung up.  Wow.  How frustrating.  I did call the company...Delta Industries and ask if they had telemarketers that made calls for their company, and they do not...so these people are evil masking themselves as other companies...to try and get whatever.  Look out everyone and be very alert and careful of the information you give out.  Know who you are talking to.

Received call stating they had met one of our superintendents on a jobsite and forget their name, but then said it was at a mcDonalds, wanted to know all of out super's names and numbers, but couldnt say where they met them and for what job.  After several annoying questions, he said he was on a cell phone, getting bad reception, then a screeching noise and the call ended.  Secon call this week.  First one was from woman from Delta, trying to push free swiss army knife, and degreaser.  But after not giving all the info she wanted, she hung up on me.

Just got a call from this jerk.  He said "Uh the maintenance manager, what did you say his name was?"  I said "I'm sorry but you didn't identify yourself", he said his name was "Bernie" and I said "and what is the name of your company?" He mumbled something and I asked him to repeat it and it was Delta Industries. I asked him what his company did and all I got was a horrible screeching sound on his end.  So I hung up. These jerks have called before because I already had their number in Google.  They've called as "Delta Shipping Supplies" before these jerks just won't give up.

This same guy called me wanting my home address to send me a set of steak knives, this was the first time he called, he gave me the heart attack story then. He said due to insurance problems he couldn't send it to the office it had to go to my house, when I refused to give him info, he hung up!! Today he called again and said his name was Phil Jensen and was with Sun Energy and claimed he had been to my office but I was out and needed my address. When I started questioning him there was a loud beep and he hung up, when I tried to call him back it just rings!!! He needs to be stopped!!

Just read ticked off's comment.  Sun Energy was a rip off company that got to one of our vp's.  They offer the free gift to hook you and will use it as blackmail to make you pay their bill because most companies frown on employees accepting free gifts.  They may also go by the name of Safety Chem Inc, which by now I'm sure the address is defunct.

Just got a call from some wiseguy who wanted to talk to the General Manager.  I told him we do not have anyone with that title, but if he told me what it was regarding, I could put him through to the appropriate person.  He continued to be evasive.  Told me he had been here a couple of weeks ago, but had misplaced the business card of the person he spoke to.  I asked again what it was regarding so that I could put him through to the appropriate person.  He then said, "you have a plant there right?  I just want to talk to the person in charge." I told him again,that it depended what it was regarding and I asked again where he was calling from.  When he told me "my house" I decided I'd wasted enough time with this joker!

I received a call from MB Industries.  He said he was sorry he hadn't called me back, but he had a heart attach.  Knowing it was a scam, I decided to have some fun with the guy.  I asked him the following questions: Did he have surgery?  How old was he?  Was there a family history of heart issues?  Did he have kids?  Where did the heart attack happen?  (on the 4th hole of the golf course, with his old lady at his side)  Did they send the ambulance out onto the golf course and did they have to shut off the siren?  Did the group behind him get to play through?  He finally told me that he was going to send me some hand cleaner.  I told him he was full of "crap", not to send me anything, and to not call my companies number again.  I have been receiving calls like this for years.  What a waste!!

Scam sales call.  Act like they know you when in fact you have no idea who they are.  Wanted the President of our company paged and was adamant about interrupting him from his meeting.  This company needs to be stopped....

Got a call from some guy, said he was with Apex Industries, caller ID showed MB Industries.  They're head hunters!  Google Apex recruiting firm.

Some guy claiming to be a salesmen that I met months ago who was supposed to get back to me, but had a heart attack.  Gives a sad story, working from home.  Has some plaque to send me for his company's anniversary.  Keeps trying to get my HOME address for "Residential Shipping Insurance" even though he'll send it to my business.  After I told him there's no way I'm giving him my home info, he hung up.  I'm in CA, his phone # is in FL.  Don't ever remember meeting him.  Some scam is going down.

Same scenario as others.  Called claiming to be from Sun Industries and was at my company but had a heart attack while golfing.  I questioned him and told not to call this number and he hung up.  New York accent calling from a Florida phone number...Morons!

Received a call from a man identifying himself as Tony from Delta Industries. He wanted to be put through to the production manager, whom he claims to have contacted about a month ago about doing a job for him.  Claimed he couldn't find the person's card and couldn't remember his name.  Could I just give him some names and see if any sounded familiar.  Several things he said clued me in that he probably was not legit.  When I questioned him further to try to confirm if it was a for-real call or not, he started saying 'what am I talking to, the Kremlin?' and similar.  I said, "OK, so this is Tony from Delta Industries," at which point he hung up.

Must be the same guy I talked to SG because of the Kremlin comment. They are using several different names, Delta Industries, Delta Shipping Supplies, Olympia (shipping supplies), Sun Energy, Sun Industries, JB Industries, MB Industries, Apex Industries anything to get through to either shipping or the maintenance manager.  All they need is a name or address so don't give them either, don't transfer them to voice mail.  Tell them it's against company policy etc.  Others to watch out for are R.C. Davis, Pioneer Research, Universal Solutions (cleaning supplies, U S Supply (shipping supplies)

Received another from MBINDUSTRIES (last called November 18, 2008 - see previous posting).  Same script, basically.  Identified himself as John Jones from Sun Industries this time.  For those concerned, he happened to have a defribulator in his wife's golf bag.  Sounds like all is well.

Got a phone call from (Jake Taylor) at MB Industries... He asked for my plant managers name and then said OH YEAH let me speak with him. I sent him to my managers assistant and said I must speak with your plant manager I can not leave a number with the posistion I am in. I put him on hold came back and he was demanding to speak with him still. Would not leave a number!
