No no, sweetie! Don't pay $5 a month to block the calls!!
I eat my words.. I looked this up for you, and I'm sorry for all iphone users.. =(  I get that iphone has all these great gadgets, but reading some of this makes me dislike apple more and more. With Droid and Google (the maker of the Android platform) we have the ability to access all features in our OS. We can create our own apps if we wanted!! But it appears iphone and Apple LIMIT what they allow you or other vendors to do, in order to increase there own profit.  And that is a shame!! I mean, Apple execs are multi-billionaires!! And they charge outrageous prices for their products.. so the least they could do is NOT charge you for software you need. =(

It will explain what is going on with the iphones, why there are no call blocking apps for the iPhone, and how you can help change that, WITHOUT putting an extra fee in the already fat wallets of the execs at Apple.

You're welcome doll! I enjoy cutting into the scammer's business! And now that you've downloaded the app, you can help others and yourself even further! I just found this out while tinkering with the app- There is a section for "reporting calls" similar to like what we do on this forum, EXCEPT instead of talking about the numbers like we do here, it is entered into a database. Depending on how many people report that number, and what they mark it as (Like Charity, Political, Telemarketer, etc) it is either added to their automatic block list, or you can chose to have it blocked automatically, like if you don't want to receive ANY political calls. This thing has so many options! I don't know how I lived without it before!!
(And, unlike the DNC, you can use it to block calls even from companies you have worked with, but won't remove you after you cease working with them. I went to one Rich Dad Poor Dad seminar, and since then I received dozens of calls daily trying to sign me up for their $10,000 "coaching" program. Asking to be removed didn't work; they would just have another person call- One day it's Sarah, the next day is Beth, then they had Steve try.. lol. So I just added the number to my blocked list and viola!)

Is it a bad thing I am more excited about this app than any of the other apps on my Droid?? =p

they've been calling me twice a day for about three months now, i'm getting fed up. I have an iphone and the only way to block calls is to pay 5$ a month for the service.... any idea how to get them to stop?? every time i answer they hang up on me. I'm seriously getting fed up, I can't even reach them to tell them or threaten them... they used to call me from a different number too, a 1-888 number, now it's ALWAYS this one. if anyone knows how to get them to stop, short of paying an extra 5$ a month on my monthly bill or getting a new number, please share!!!

The number is for a vacation agency that sells cruise for a set time frame. They lured me into purchasing the package saying that it would include airfare and it did not. They do not refund money and now years later they keep calling. Very rude in a polite voice and very pushy salespeople.

Whe they called I never answered and now I have answered twice and they hang up...Stupid!

I have been receiving calls from this cruise line for 6 years now. I bought a package once that I was not able to use before the expiration date, and they started calling offering to "extend it" for a fee of course, and about 2 years ago they changed their tune to "I owe a balance for the vacation"-- that I never took and had paid in full! They are RUDE, RUDE,RUDE, and this is a SCAM.

I decided to break down and answer this number. (After looking through my call history, they have called over 50 times in less than 1 week.)
He asked for a males name "Joseph" and I am CLEARLY a woman, with a very feminine voice, so I'm obviously NOT Joseph. I asked who they are and why are they calling my number looking for someone else and he went STRAIGHT into his "Hi, I'm from Caribbean Vacations and I'm calling to let you know you won a free cruise!" I interrupted him and let him know "No, you're not letting me know, you're looking for some one named Joseph, right? But there is no Joseph here." But he countered that with a "That's ok, it was your number that won."
Just another scam. Added him to my "Call Control" App for Android, which I highly recommend guys! They have a free and $8 version, but both are great. The free version you can only select 3 numbers you want to block, however all of the "community blocked numbers" are automatically blocked as well! Basically they have a website similar to this and any number that the forum members have deemed to be scams, telemarketers, bill collectors, or any one else you don't want a call from, and it automatically blocks those numbers on for anyone with the app on their phone. (Unless you manually chose to unblock specific numbers.)
I used to get 10-20 "political surveys", "free cruises", etc calls per day. I just installed Call Control Lite (the free one) today and only 1 got through, this one, but now it's blocked too. =)

I don't answer unknown numbers on cell phone.  Am sick and tired of these calls from this number--954-862-8872.

Aug 10 at 8:27pm
Aug 14 at 12:56 pm and 8:25pm
Aug 15 at 1:57pm and 8:09pm
Aug 21 at 3:41pm
Aug 24 at 10:31am
Aug 31 at 12:35pm and at 7:17pm.
And again today at 11:55am

So they aren't exactly calling every day. I can't figure out a rhyme or reason to their calls. They aren't leaving voicemail.

There is a free callblocker app for androids, get it from the Google Play Store.

Getting at least 1 call a day, no one there

I live in MI and have been getting numerous calls per day from this number.  When I answer, there is no one there.  Don't know why someone from FL would be calling me daily...

this number has called me twice a day for the past month!!!! it is rather annoying since i am a shift worker. first lets start with this: how did they get your number, why dont they leave a message, and when you try to call it back why do you not get a answer. im tired off this. its pretty sad if someone has to get a new phone number because these calls wont stop and there is no way to block them.
seriously you harrassers need a new job. if people were interested in something they would call you. dont call them!!!

Have received 5 calls on my cell phone from this number this week.  I finally answered and it is a recording about a cruise.  Am sick of these calls!

They called at 8pm and didn't leave a message. I don't know anyone with a similar number.

they called me by my first name as if they new me.  I dont know who this is or could be.
