Got a call from this number, the lady named "Nikita" was speaking really fast and asking about my younger brother...who was at school at the moment.  When I asked her what it was about she replied "It's a personal business matter and I'm not at liberty to discuss this with you."  I don't know what exactly she meant by that because my younger brother is too young to be dealing in such serious issues as that, especially when they aren't able to discuss it with me, his sister, or even our parents.  Although she had the correct name, she had the wrong last name, just goes to show how much BS this call actually was.

I've received two voicemails from someone named Lakisha at this number. The voicemails were for a couple who I believe used to reside at my address. I don't know where the caller got my unlisted phone number.

Got a call from this number, lady stated I owed $4,000 on old credit card for a buisness. Never had a B-card, she wanted my SS number, I did not give it then she gave it to me but was not my number, then gave me an address, again not even my state. She called me the next day asking for my SS number I said no and she hung up.

Called my brother (because my number is unlisted) and told him somone is using my social in Florida.  The woman on the phone tried to find out my husband name. Called the number back and got voicemail.

called me tried to get over 6000 dollars to be paid on monday and threatened my family no address was given.

Got call looking for someone not in our household. Would not say why they were calling and how they got my number.

someone left a message and left this number. after doing some research this phone call was in reference to an American Express Business Account that another person had but with the same last name. AThey asked me personal questions....i told them I refused to give them the information.I also informed them that I didn't want them calling this number again and would report them if they did. They haven't called lately....

don't know who it is, but they call me repeatedly, and when i answer there's never anyone there.  before i hang up, i'm getting beeped by call waiting with another call from the same number.  this bugs the crap out of me.  who is it?  how do we make it stop?

I'm putting them on my call block list. Never used call block before, so hope it works.

I got a call from this number today.  They asked for my ex-husband, his former ex-wife, and some guy name "Augmento."

I mean, isn't there a way to sue these people who are desperate, cold calling, and seeking a warm body to place these debts on?  I had nothing to do with anything my ex-husband, his former ex-wife, or anyone named "Augmento" might have done.

They are debt collectors. They find your address on skiptracing websites. They call people with similar last names in hopes you are related. By law they cannot discuss a persons debts with sisters, parents etc., except a spouse in most states so there is no mystery why they won't discuss it with you. If you are over 18 you are an adult so saying someone is "too young" is a relative point. Lots of times debtors give your number to creditors or your number is their old number. Just say it is no longer the correct number in a cordial way and they will remove it. No one is trying to "place a debt" on anyone. People borrow money and then avoid paying it back. They then say that they are victims because they are asked to pay back what they owe. Debt collectors return billions of dollars back to the loaning institutions. If not for them your costs would skyrocket.

dave....yes just tell the creditors you have the wrong number and guess what dave they call ten more times demanding a social security number...would you give out your ssn to a phone call especially when they block the id.
thats why people post there comments here because of the collections stupidity
i know you need your 20 percent commission to pay your bills but you cant abuse people like this.
also i know nationwide is dumb remember when your company was fined 500,000.00 for posting wrong info on peoples credit report

Nationwide was never sued for putting incorrect info on peoples credit reports... Nationwide is a non reporting agency that is retained by creditors to collect debt. So since they don't own the debt they cannot and do not report!

Recieved a call from this number on cell,no message left but saw it as a missed call. This is a number I never give for official business. I called this number from another phone and got voicemail. Said it was some sort of credit agency but the name was spoken so fast I cannot make it out. It's b.s. as far as I am concerned.

COLLECTION AGENCIES ARE RIP OFF AND THEY EVEN STEAL FROM THE COMPANIES THAT HIRE THEM..

NO YOU DON'T !     YOU DO NOT OWN THE DEBT - AMEX DOES..  THEY ARE NOT GOING TO SHARE WITH SOME BOTTOMFEEDER COLLECTION AGENCY.  When you did nothing to collect the debt.

even if u made the payment to amex the collector still gets the cut

Refusing or ignoring the call doesn't resolve the matter. Communicating with Debt Collection Agency is the only way to make them go away. If your able to resolve the matter financially. Do so! Reality is, you owe the debt!

I'm receiving calls from this number , I called them back using *6719548744099...and entered the extension message given, the rep called herself Nikita Bersten; she has a heavy accent, I asked her what is her position and her title at the company ...she was asking for my name.  I'm calling her because she is not presenting her company name....just left a message that she needs my location and confirmation of it????  what makes these people thing that I want to furnish that information???  why do they want my information in the 1st place...if they are not able to identify them selves from the get go i will block there company numbers until they get tired of calling because I will never pick up there call especially if they have caller ID>...Aparently the are a DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY, trying to collect YOUR DEBT.    most companies forward the debt to these predator agencies in search to get paid back....the credit card companies right off there losses and they get to collect your many owed to the credit card company.....pretty much they sell your information to them....and they get to make the dough!!!!   After harrassing you and your family...go to privacyrights.org and know your rights as a consumer!!!!

Got a number a phone calls from this company Nationwide Credit. Said we had not paid a bill for $3,500, which we had. Tried to get us to open a different credit card, we didn't give him any information. He tried to get our account number. He sounded suspicious. We verified our account info online, bill had been paid and account had been closed.

They called me at work and had my name.  They are collecting on behalf of a corporate account for American Express.  The unfortunate coincidence is that I am the account manager for the corporate American Express account for my company, so there was some confusion at first about what account they were collecting on.  But they had my name as well as my "wife's" name (I'm not married and have never been married).  They also had a false address for me.  I'm contacting the credit agencies today to put a fraud alert on my social.

I am getting multiple daily calls from this number  # 274043 (Betty). She claims she is from American Express.
She refuses to accept the fact that I am debt management.  She tells me that Amex refuses to work with a debt mgmt company.  She calls and asks for my son, ex-employees, etc.  
She is demanding and a pest.  I am writing a letter to Amex telling them to cease and desist all actions of a collector or i will file BR and them will get nothing.

heh, im surprised so many others are having trouble with this too. well i get a call from this number every morning around the same time (9-ish) but im always asleep, i dont have any business in florida, the supposed origin of this number

the reason he got so upset was because you made the payment directly to AMEX instead of to THEIR office so they could get their "cut".  Just like loansharks.

what right do you have to talk about people being broke. Karma is a bi***. Have fun with that!

I also have gotten several calls with weird repetive noises but no one leaves a message.  Someone should be able to stop this customer from annoying and almost prank calls.
