THIS IS SUCKS...

Many of the calls are made by Foreign Call Centers. Since the year 2000 the USA has lost approximately 3.5 million white collar jobs and 135 billion in annual wages to foreign companies. Many of the jobs are in the Telemarketing industry and were moved due to excessive regulations imposed by the US government. Complaining about unwanted telephone calls sends more business overseas but does not lessen the amount of calls you receive.

then why dont you call or write your local attorney general and they will find out if that company is dnc compliant and if not then they are doing buisiness illeagely and that should solve your problem...

I called and it was a company that got my name from a broker. They did not charge me an upfront fee.

Caller said "They had rented our time share week for $3600 and to call to confirm." It was very strange and unwanted call, since I was currently renting my timeshare to another at a different price. I did not call the number, believing it to be a scam.

We received a call yesterday on our voice mail that said: "We have rented your timeshare for 3600. Call 954-903-9281 to confirm". Message was repeated. Man's voice. This was unsolicited telemarketing and we are on the "do not call list." When will the government crack down on this nonsense!
Scottie 2010-02-12 17:42:53 Unknown
Same message but they did not mention an upfront fee!
A Californian 2010-02-12 03:01:44 Unknown
You are right Bill even the The Redweek place charges upfront fees almost 200 for full service. Any commercial entity is going to charge you something. I distrust anyone who works for free anyways.
California 2010-02-12 02:52:27 Unknown
I called and they did not mention anything about an upfront fee.
bill 2010-02-10 20:41:10 Unknown
This is part of a nationwide scam. They will charge what ever they think they can get as an upfront charge for taxes & maintenance, security deposit, etc. fOR MORE INFORMATION SEE THE REDWEEK WEB SITE.
