File a complaint with your state's Attorney general office and the state they operate in. Also file complaint with the  FTC. Ask for everything in writing and document all contacts.

This rude a** keeps calling for a Best Buy debt that was paid off over a year ago. They have no right to keep calling and harrasing my husband.

Best way to handle the clowns is to formally request affidavit of indebtedness in writing. Fax it or mail it. They don't have it. Scammers

They have been caling and harrasing me at work, if this keeps happening it will cause me to lose my job. I have no idea who these people are or wht it's in regard to.  I have called them back but i never get any answers and except they want money from me i refuse to goive them my acct. or s.s number. which is what they are sking for. I'm afraid is scheme or some sort.

Get calls frm them. Do not know who they are and threathening to file a kawsuit ib my county against my vehicles. Had my tag numbers, yr, make car. When call back, get a recording.

If you demand something in writing, they HAVE to send it to you -- part of the FDCA.

I doubt it -- or you -- are legit (did your employer tell you you had to get on the board and defend them?).  Did you read what the person said? They looked at their credit record and did not see anything related to this alleged debt or the people collecting from them.  Besides, legit debt collectors don't call up and scream like someone in a midnight infomercial trying to sell you a pocket fisherman.

Even if you are legit, you do realize people are out of work and struggling? Most people don't deliberately set out to not pay their bills. I just got back to work myself and am beginning to catch up. Lots of others where I came from...

I've been receiving these calls for about 2 mos now and I don't answer nor have I ever returned their calls until recently when they called my 74 yr old mother in another state and harassed her, now I'm mad....this has got to stop....

I get phone calls from the number 888 736 1286 and Tina walker is the name she gives me. She is rude, harassing, has called me a liar when I told her I was unemployed.she states I owe money on a payday loan, which is not true, but she insists that I will have to explain to a judge how I can pay for my car payment and not my past payday loan. When I ask for information to be sent to me in the mail she states they can't do that. Well, I believe any creditor or debt collector would be able to send something in writing informing of a debt I would owe. I find their practices a little fishy and illegal. Trying to use scare tactics and stating I can only pay over the phone with my bank account info. Hell no, I'm not giving out that info to just anyone over the phone!

Oh PLEASE tell me what the outcome was!! I have repeatedly told them to Stop calling me & they still continue to do it! They even called my mother, also repeatedly after being told numerous times to stop harassing her. I filed a complaint with the BBB but haven't heard anything. Meanwhile, they STILL continue to call. Can you offer any suggestions please??? Would be most grateful.  Oh...and my phone carrier allows me to block up to 5 numbers & they still manage to get thru. They are definately violating the law.

Yes your right Darren..we should all be nice to our worldly brothers and sisters. Some people have met with unfortunate circumstances, but this is not the majority. In fact most of the people surfing these boards are looking for a way out or other good excuse to not pay a bill that they incurred.
So you go on disputing your debts, because the only thing you can afford is that morally superior attitude, which buys you nothing.

People try and pay their debts, but things happen, and it is against the law to harrass people, the States Attorney and Sheriff have told me to report to them next time they call me.

To user handle whatever.  I am paying off everything on my credit at the moment because I am fortunate to do so at the moment.  I think it is pretty lame of you to post to this site telling people to pay their bills.  I am pretty sure that these people have considered and want to settle their debts tto get the things that they want and need.  Idiots like you telling people to pay their debts, but not considering what type of situation or problems someone may be going through.  Before giving people advice i think you should check yourself and your sh!tty attitude.  And have a little more respect for your worldly brothers and sisters.

All I can say is that this company called me and told me someone filed a complaint against me.  Until they can give me some better info.  They can shove that complaint up their @ss with whatever right behind it.

The best way to stop being contacted is to ask to not be contacted anymore or to pay your bills that you owe. Real simple...don't pay your rent you get kicked out. Don't pay your phone it gets shut off. Don't pay your debts you get called by collection agencies...even on your cell phone. If it's not you they are trying to reach them ask them to stop calling. If it is you then pay your bills.

It is an attempt to collect a debt. Not a scam. Legally registered and operating company with no connection to India or any other foreign county. It's a toll free number with no collect call charges. Seriously--pay your bills and you won't get calls from legitimate debt collectors

I got a call from 954-905-2404 with an individual calling me telling me that they have not received my response to a document they allegedly sent me. Funny thing is,  this company does not show on any of my credit reports as collection companies generally do. Not only that, but it is easier to get my address than my cell phone number. The company is call Financial Filing and Reporting Inc out of Coral Springs, Fl and they profess to have a nationwide network of lawyers working to ensure that they collect their money from you.  They say things like they have the power to make a decision on your behalf if you do not contact them in regards to a legal or personal matter.

Y r they calling, no info is given.  Just that they are a financial filing office when you call the 1-888 number that they give u.  I did not call from my cell but from another phone to c who or what it was and it was threatening to take legal action on my behalf?????

They called me also.  i got a lawyer on them for violation federal law on debt collection practices.

Have had many calls at home and work. Saying that this is final notice and they never received the packet back that I needed to fill out. Never got the packet and never called back. Told me to call 888-262-8420, looked at the past posting and all 888 numbers are different.

I think it sucks that they get all of your info without u giving it to them. Got the same message from 2 different ##'s

Get a message from these people 3 to 4 times a week, saying they will make decisions on our behalf, we have no debts or past due accounts, say its the last chance but have been leaving this message for months, then say to call a different number. Im so sick of them

This number keeps on calling me they don't give the company name or who it is. All I know is its a recording male or female, they're calling from Coral Springs, FL, and they use this number 866-235-7016 for a back which is a Canadian Equities firm in Toronto, Canada.

Get messages from this number at least once a day.  Doesn't identify himself, his company, or who he is calling for.  Just makes threats about "making a decision on your behalf without any input from you".  Keeps saying this is my last chance to respond - but they call daily and have been doing so for at least 2 months.  We don't have any past due accounts, and since they don't provide any information, i'm not inclined to respond.  Would be nice to find a way to make them stop harassing our phone, though.
