Hey,
Is everyone here reporting this text issue getting the text from area code 970?
This person is obviously pulling names of legitimate financial institutions from
all over the US and sending them to the appropriate person for that area.
However, if you check online to see the real contact number for that banking
institution, it does NOT match up.
Therefore, the number they want you to contact must be a number for pulling info of some sorts.

We need to team up and find out who he jerk is behind the number where the text are
originating from .  There are possibly several people doing this.  I was going to find a pay
phone (if here are any left ....lol) and call the number from there so as not to use any of my own devices..  maybe the next step is to contact the FBI, internet fraud and let them track these suckers down.  lol
SO IF EVERYONE WOULD PLEASE POST THE PHONE NUMBER THAT YOUR TEXT ORIGINATED FROM.....NOT THE NUMBER THAT THEY ARE ASKING YOU TO CONTACT BUT THE NUMBER THAT THE TEXT CAME FROM......LET'S SEE IF THEY ARE ALL FROM SAME OR MULTPLE SENDERS....THEN, SOMEONE CAN CONTACT FBI/INTERNET FRAUD WITH THE INFO

The phone number 970-347-7892 requesting that I contact someone at 813-382-5912 because, as the text message says:  "TAMPA BAY F.C.U. NOTICE:  Your  cARD has been DEACTIVATED.  Please contact us at:  813-382-5912.

Either the guy sitting in Colorado doing this is a prankster, or someone has set up a means of stealing
sensitive data from phones once you call the number they instruct you to do to correct the so-called
problem.  First of all, I do not have an account with that financial institution.  And, the text is coming
in from area code 970, which is in Colorado!  Sounds a little fishy.

So people, be ware....do NOT contact the number even to tell them they are wrong BECAUSE
they could be stealing private info from your phone once you call.
