What's worse...this is why these robocallers are so prevalent.  Because there are idiots like this out there who actually believe it's an "official" call just like all the Indian guys that keep calling from "your bank".  PROTIP: They're not from "your bank".

Since the originating area code is in the Pacific Northwest, I'm going to guess that it is this astonishingly persistent, annoying and completely unscrupulous security system company that will not stop calling me even though I have never answered and never will. I have blocked several of their originating number but they constantly change the caller ID on their outbound number ID. I am amazed that this company is able to exist and continue their illegal harassment of individuals.

i has been get a phone call like the last two or more 971-208-9903 called several time over the course of a month

she she this is not from the goverment you took a survey or entered a contest in the disclaimer they let you know that they were going to sell your number but you like all of us did not read the disclaimer  or you went to a page from a social network that pulled that info and sold it .It is all in the disclaimer

This number called me several times, with no voice messages left. I added this caller to my BLOCK LIST!

This number keeps calling my cell phone which is a pre-pay.  So, if I pick up the call it will cost me money.  Is At&t hiring ppl to make blanket calls to pre-pay to make more money???

Received a call today and decided to call back... I got a message that went "thank you for calling back. You have received a calk from a commercial entity. you can press 1 at any tone if you do not wish to continue to receive these calls." It be wise to calk back if you are annoyed by the call.

I called back and pressed 1 during the answering message and it did take me off the calling list.  I recommend this.

I GOT THE SAME CALL ABOUT IRS ON MY CELL PHONE.  I ALSO HAVE NO IRS DEBT.  IT IS REDICULOUS THAT THEY ARE ALLOWED OUR CELL #'s.  WE PAY THE PHONE BILL WHY DOES THE GOVERNMENT FIND THAT IT HAS THE AUTHORITY TO DEEM IT MANDATORY THAT THEY GET THE LIST UNLESS WE OPT OUT EVERY SO-MANY YEARS.  WE SHOULD NOT BE OBLIGATED TO KEEP UP WITH THIS.  WHAT WAS THE BENEFIT TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE....THE WONDERFUL CALLS LIKE THIS WE ARE RECEIVING....OR THE JOBS THAT WERE CREATED FOR THE MORONS THAT WORK FOR THIS TYPE OF BUSINESS???  OUR GOVERNMENT COMES UP WITH GREAT IDEAS...AT OUR EXPENSE!

I highly doubt that Obama had anything to do with this.  This is a robocall/telemarketing thing, and possibly a scam.

Yet another reason not to re-elect Obama!!  Maybe they should call people that actually owe back taxes in their "marketing campaign".  I tried to call this number back and got an automated answering service.  I am glad he is spending our money wisely!!

Caller i.d. said "Pacifictel". I suspected a telemarketer. I picked up but did not say anything. The caller disconnected.

Have received REPEATED calls to my cell from this number.
Automated recording starts talking about "your current IRS tax debt" and "instructions to the IRS by President Obama to work with taxpayers"...

They called my cell phone and since I did not know the number I did not answer. They never left a voicemail.

They called my cell and I didn't know anyone with a 971 area code. I didn't pick up and they never left any message.
