I am sick of getting charged air time to answer unwanted solicitations from "card member services". I have asked them to stop calling and they keep doing it. This is the most number they are molesting me on. (320) 405-8740

These are terrorists seeking to get your personal information to clear out your banking accounts and run up your credit cards to finance Al Qaeda and the Taliban killing our American military forces and perpetrating cyber attacks on Wall Street, American corporations, and the United States government. If you do any business with these terrorists, YOU ARE A TRAITOR and deserve what is coming to you!

I have been receiving calls from these 'card services' telemarketers for over a year now. I have been blocking each number they have called with (over 35 at this point). And I have been filing complaints with the FTC Do Not Call Registry and the FCC complaint site, to no avail. I do suggest you all do the same, and do not talk to them or call them back.
But to really get some attention, I created a petition on the White House We The People site. Please go there and sign it, we have to get the word out any way we can:

I am a representative of AnswerNet, one of the companies that have been mentioned in the complaints on this website. The calls that the complainers have been receiving are NOT from our company. AnswerNet appears to be a victim of caller ID ?spoofing.? Caller ID spoofing is the ability to change the telephone number that appears on a caller ID display when they receive a phone call. Many scam artists deliberately falsify their telephone number to disguise the true identity of the calling party in an effort to present fraudulent offers of a variety of goods or services.
AnswerNet is a full service call center provider that produces telemarketing campaigns on behalf of our clients. We do not engage in direct-to-consumer calling programs for AnswerNet itself. AnswerNet follows strict FCC guidelines, and scrubs all calling lists against the National Do Not Call Registry (DNC). Additionally, our model is business-to-business only.
AnswerNet does want to assure consumers that we are doing our best to correct this situation. Please continue to contact the FCC when called by these individuals.
Should you wish to contact our corporate office about this matter, please call 800-411-5777 and you will be directed to the Communications department.

Been getting these calls for months from a bunch of numbers. I save them to the SPAM so I know not to answer next time... Also now I have a little list. It is clearly a scam or phishing attempt.
The message is always the same, about "some good news" about "lowering your rates". And then "press 1 for more information".
I have pressed one several times and tried various ways to politely ask to be removed from their list. Last time I politely asked what business they were and they said "card services" and I asked, yes but who are you affiliated with? Expecting something like "capital one" or "chase". And the answer? "Your Momma <click>". They always hang up when I ask a question.
Here is the list of numbers so far. I am reporting it for each with this same content.

Card services robo calls - get a real job and life people
| annoyed 2012-08-17 18:09:59 Telemarketer |
I have been getting these calls for a long time now. They stopped for awhile and I wish I knew why so that I could repeat the process. I would love to do as everyone says and just not answer, but unfortunately, I use my phone for work and often have legitimate calls from numbers I do not know. So how I am supposed to avoid these calls????

Since they are operating across borders it should become a federal felony and should be handled by the FBI under the RICO Act.

Since they are operating across borders it should become a federal felony and should be handled by the FBI under the RICO Act.
These calls are coming from call centers in Costa Rica and India and they are using spoofed (false)
numbers, which in itself is illegal. They do cold calling for or sell the leads to numerous companies in
this country and they know that what they are doing is illegal. Tomorrow this same number may be selling Cruises, Timeshares or Security Systems but if you follow the money it usually ends up in the hands of an American LLC. Keep complaining to the FTC and FCC, and start bugging our politicians to pass laws to make it punishable in criminal court instead of handing out fines that they don't pay. Another course of action is to contact phone companies to find out why they won't block spoofed numbers. With today's technology that should be an easy thing to do, unless they are somehow profiting from the use of their systems.
Robocalls are illegal unless you have given them prior permission in writing (not worded into some small
print contract from a 3rd party) and are absolutely illegal to a cell phone. The Telephone Consumer
Protection Act permits individuals who have received certain unlawful telemarketing, such as junk faxes
or telemarketing calls, to sue the violator in state courts where they may be awarded up to $1500 for
each violation.

I will say it again, we need CRIMINAL penalties against the companies that are profiting from these
calls. Follow the money, slap them in jail, no one left to outsource to overseas boiler rooms, problem
solved. Since they are operating across borders it should become a federal felony and should be handled by the FBI under the RICO Act.

I've done the same things you guys have done. I've pushed the pound key (#) several times, seemed to work for a while. I was told it would screw up their computer. I've pushed the 1 key to talk to someone, told them I had 20 credit cards and owed 500,000, thousand dollars. Most hung up, one said they couldn't help me. One time I told the guy to hold a second, he did, then I yelled away from the phone "Sheriff, he's on the line now, you got him?" at which point he hung up. Stopped the calls for a little while so now I think I will try all kinds of things to harass them. Maybe that will stop them. LOL. I'm 71 years old and don't need this kind of junk going on in my daylight hours of what's left of my life. Sure don't have anything to lose.

Received calls from Credit Card Service?s for the last 8 months on my mobile phone. My phones are on the DO NOT CALL LISTS. I have asked them to quit calling, I have reported them, I have made police reports. I decided to play the game since they hang up when you ask them to stop.
Had the call from the 8323773059 today. I pressed the # 1 for yes I wanted to talk to someone, when the guy got on the phone and asked if I was $5000.00 or more in debt I said yes. (I don't have any credit card debt). He then asked "Ball Park" how much debt I had. I said $385,000.00. He stated your lying Mr. (my last name). I said first of all that?s not my name and yes I was in debt that much. He got very mad and started yelling at me that it was against the law to lie about my debt.
I kept on and he kept getting madder. Seems to me if he would report me to the police I would have the info I needed for my police reports I have filed on this company for harassment. I suggest all of you to do the same. Fill them with a bunch of crap and see how mad you can get them. Make it worth their time. They want to continue to play a game; I suggest we hit the ball out of the park.

The owners name is Chris Ambrosia and he's as liberal as they come.

Want to know why the LA Times didn't continue to go after him? They found out he's in bed with Obama and the Dems. Only companies owned by liberals pull scams like this. It's a fact.

They always call me and I like to pretend that I am interested by asking a lot of really dumb questions, but they just hang up as soon as they can. I think that they are trying to find human beings who answer the phone?
I called the number that was displayed and all I got was, "press one" bla bla, and still they call me and then hang-up....I just found out that it IS POSSIBLE to send them TEXT MESSAGES! so I sent them about fifty so far ha ha, all of them say "no contact". If you do this be sure that you have unlimited texting so it does not cost you $$

I am on a national no call list. The Communication Decency Act. These are both felonies that have been committed against me. This company now owes me $1000

I receive a call almost everyday, even on Sunday this week! They start coming in at 7:15 in the morning usually. It's so annoying!
