The caller asks a question, and when answered, hangs up.  They have called a few times now, and unfortunately I have family members that will answer.  It's as if they are probing for information.

Called landline. Listed as Unavailable & Unknown.

Called my house, asked for my husband. When I said he wasnt available, the guy said he'd call later then hung up. Nothing in the caller ID other than a phone number. When I called the number back, it went straight to a busy signal. I'm thinking schlock collector call.

The number in question is a company selling extended warranties.  When the person asked how many miles were on my car I told her 400,000. (Lie)   She questioned the mileage but I told the car is a company car and on the road 24 hours a day. (another lie) She thanked me and said goodbye.  It was 3 months before I received another call from them.
I've been receiving mail for months about buying an extended warranty for my car.

For those who answer the call and no one is on the line it's because a computer is making the call.  I had a friend who worked for a telemarketer and she told me the following.  If a telemarketer doesn't pickup it's because everyone is busy with other calls that were answered.   If you cuss out the person or give them a hard time they have the capability of telling the computer to call you again between 1-5 times a day.  Or they will instruct the computer to call late or early during the day.
So it's best NOT to answer once you learn who is calling.   If you do get a real person be courteous and there is a chance they will take your number out of the computer.

Same as all of the above.  Someone calling about an auto extended warranty for a car that we have not owned for at least 4 years.  When I started to say that I had previoulsy asked them to take my number off their call list, they hung up before I got half way through my sentence.  My question is -- who sold this jerks our information?  Maybe I will call Lincoln and find out along with filing a compliant with the FCC.

D****eads telemarketing to sell crapola extended car warranty. They keep changing their numbers, but the people are the same.

Got 2 calls from this number.  Wanting to know if we still have the same car and wanting to sell extended warranty.  First time told them husband is in charge of that stuff.  This time they didn't say what the call was for but told them if this is in regards to extended warranty he's not interested they said ok and hung up.  But i'm sure it will call again. I couldn't understand when he said the company name, heavy indian accent.  Didn't see a fitting category for type of call so chose telemarketer

Just got a call from this number, woman wanted to know if we were still driving a particular make and model of car, I said "yes".  she started in on some story, I told her that "if this is a solicitation, do NOT call back." and then I hung up.

They will probably call back within 2 weeks if they are like all of the other annoying telemarketer calls.

I am so sick of this crap....why can't we stop it....

This number called me today at 1:43 this afternoon.  I did not answer in time and no message was left.  From the previous complaints I have been reading about this number, it sounds like it is a telemarketing call.  The caller ID read: Name Unavailable.

Extended car warranty SCAM.  Claimed to be "underwriter for GMC" which is a lie.  Had my name, vehicle year and model, and the VIN.   Told me my factory warranty was expired which it is also a lie.  Boiler room operation with background noise.  They have been sending all sorts of "scary" mail ever since the car was new.  Now they are calling.  Caller ID number is also bogus.  Blocked anyway.  

caller id is a repeat of the number.  no message left.  i want the capability to block 100 numbers on my phone. thanks to all above who posted before me to help id this caller.

Extender Warranty SCAM. Beware!

Numerous calls. The guy laughs before he ask for me by name. If you answer they hang up. If it goes to machine you get a guy laughing and then says hello about 10 times.

The caller wanted to sell an extended warranty for a car that should be close to running out of the factory warranty. Told him that I wasn't interested and hung up. Hopefully, it will be a while before they call again.

Caller said he was from Chrysler Extender Warranty dept. He had the last 4 of my VIN# and called on an old cell phone # I just happened to have on. This # has never had a solicitation call before.

I got a call and ask Not so polite what they wanted and she told me that I was rude.  I swear you are calling and bugging me.  I wish I knew the company's name

similar to other posts. He said the warranty has expired on our car. I told him I've been getting calls about the warranty for a year and he is too late. Click, dial tone. And yes, background noise like a boiler room.
What I wish I had done was play along for as long as I could just to have fun. Waste his time, keep me from doing yard work.

Number just called me about the warranty on my vehicle expiring and as soon as I said, "I thought we had an extended warranty" they hung up.

I just had this # call three times and hang up. I could not get to telephone fast enough as it only rang one time each time!

Asking about a car that I no longer own.  Some type of sweat shop operation with lots of voices in the background.  My guess is they are trying to sell an extended warranty.  That seems to be the new gimmick on insuring repairs for cars that now routinely run 200,000 miles.
