I think this is scam how can I find out

My relative is in a jail in Michigan. Alot of inmates though will try to call random numbers... stupid. Making you think one of ur loved ones are in jail. Just hang up if u don't know anyone in jail, but if u do, don't be fooled by the number. It is definitely from a correctional facility.

Yeah my love One is in a upstate facility n he called I tried to except it n then they Hung up on me n when I tried to call the # they told me to cll it Hung up...this needs to b fixed ASAP

This number is from a service that inmates use to call. I hawe been recireceiving these calls for months now. They come out of different states and some say value added.I get them from Ca.Tx. and other states. I have called the police and they know they are from inmates. The inmate doesn't have to be where the call originates

It's a legitimate inmate calling service  it's  asking for information when u fail the 1800 number that it gives you to add minutes when the inmate is calling u it's the easier and faster way I do it all the time

I am also getting a call from this number I don't know who is calling me because it does not say a name. I am curious though and would like to add minutes but won't do it through this number I  would definitely rather call the 800 number myself to make sure it's legit. If anyone has this number please post thanks.

I have received calls from a jail and when I enter my credit card information the phone would disconnect and I never get a chance to speak with my brother. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is there some technical difficulties?  How can I request a refund?

This stupid number call me 3 times last night once at midnight once at 2 and again at 4 am I'm gunna kill someone if it doesn't stop I have work in the morning and what kind of prison lets their inmates use the phone so late IDIOTS!!!!

I was getting them also and knew I didnt know anyone on TX (972)? I found out it was a call from a NY Prison where I do have a relative. The 972 number is a company that routes the calls. So it a is a real call from a prison.

It's not a scam, it is a call from prison. The credit card is just as usual for any call from a jail or prison you have to put money on an account for the call to charge to , OR, if your phone is a land line, just accept the collect call charges. Theres no other way to receive a call from a jail or prison.
