i RECEIVED A CALL FROM BETHANY NEWMAN FROM POWER & ASSOCIATES CHECK FRAUD DIVISION STATING I OWE A INTERNET PAYDAY LOAN COMPANY BY THE NAME OF SAGMORE. I ADVISED HER I NEVER TOOK OUT  A ONLINE PAYDAY LOAN FROM ANY COMPANY BY THAT NAME SHE SAID THEY HAD MY CHECKING ACCOUNT# AND ALL THAT BUT IT WAS A ACCOUNT THAT WAS CLOSED IN 2008 AND THEY SAID THEY DEPOSITED FUNDS IN A CLOSED ACCOUNT IN 2010 THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. I ASKED FOR THERE PHYSICAL ADDRESS SO I CAN SEND A DEBT VALIDATION SHE PUT ME ON HOLD FOR LIKE 3MIN THEN SHE SAYS I SPOKE WITH MY MANAGE AND HE SAID WE WILL SEND YOU A DEBT VALIDATION LETTER BY EMAIL...

Same number calling me April Turner Power and Assoc. Left a voicemail saying I had a pending legal matter in Arkansas , I havent lived there in over a year. I also have "agent" Regan Clark from PSA Investigations 910 816 4540 claiming I have a pending court case in the county I live(d) in , checked Missouri casenet.gov , no court cases with my name or the supposed court case number she gave. To top things off today I got a call from a local phone number , a man (that wouldn't give his name) claiming to be an independent  civil investigator and he needed to serve me court papers , I of course didn't give him my current address. He then said that he would report it to his captain that I was refusing to be cooperative, well durr who gives out their address to a complete stranger over the phone. He advised me if I wanted more details I needed to call the company sueing me , TD & Company 1 866 821 9255.  I did indeed call , spoke to a woman named  Patsy , she searched me by my name and the bs case number the "civil investigator" gave me. She couldn't find anything , I then mentioned I lived in Mo , she informed me they only handle collections in Calif , I've never lived there. Since I had already searched mocasenet and found nothing of course this was a scam call too. I can't believe these people are getting local numbers now and calling. Someone needs to hunt these people down and put a foot or two in their a***s!

I received a message from this number9 72-559-8836 telling me I committed check fraud and they were calling to settle the problem. They said that if I refused to settle, i was going to be arrested and lose my job. They left a message at my home phone and both of my cell phones. In addition, they did not have my correct name.

I received a message from this number telling me that they were calling from the check fraud division of Power & Associates. I called them back and they told me it was about a supposed debt I had with a payday loan and that was it was getting ready to go to court. I have dealt with issues like this in the past because somehow (I wish I knew how) people have gotten my information and then try to call and say I owe a payday loan. I had to involve the Ohio Attorney General's office and get it cleared up, and since then at least three other "companies" have made contact with me about the same supposed payday loan. The Attorney General's office told me that if a person contacts you by phone regarding a supposed debt, they have 5 days to send you something in writing so that you have an opportunity to respond. If you don't receive anything in writing (which I didn't from this company), be weary that it is may not be legitimate. I requested the address for Power & Associates so that I could send them a debt validation letter. They pretty much refused both times I requested. They assured me I would not receive any more calls.
