I am on the 'do not call list'. Why am I getting calls with hand ups. These must be auto dialers without real people on the other end. If you ever pick up, they know when you're home. If they were legitimate they would leave a message detailing the reason for calling. I have my voice message set to pick up on about the 10th ring. Maybe I should change it to 20. At least it would tie up their system so it doesn't bother anybody else.

The call claimed to be from BCBS with information on additional education programs. The name they used was of my step-son. I called the 866 number included in the message and it claimed to be for BCBS of TEXAS! Our number is in WASHINTON... My step-son has never lived in Texas, nor have we. Why would a Texas BCBS try to sell insurance in WA? Additionally, if they are asking for personal information and not knowing to whom they are speaking... Hmmm. It does sound suspicious to me. I also looked up BCBS of Texas online and found that the 866 number was NOT on their website. Someone trying to get personal information for identity theft or worse.

Got a message claiming they were offering free screening for cervical cancer. Called at 9:40 on Sunday night two days before Christmas.

It might be a call from the outgoing calls-only line of an organization. At my job, we all have one outgoing-only line, but you can't call back on it. It's not necessarily "fishy."

they call i get to phone and can't call back in reverse....2x so far..operator says it's a landlaine but can't give info on it.

I missed this call a few times so I called it back to see who was calling and the call will not go through in reverse. Obviously something fishy. Reported to the 'do-not-call' agency

I received a call from this number. The opening recorded message said it was blue cross blue shield but the live representative didn't know my name and started asking for personal information. Obviously a fraudulent caller!!!
