I received a call from this number from a brian conner who was a lawyer. he said that I owed 700.00 dollars, I was surprised to find out that he was from India and could not spell after emailing me. A lawyer that cannot spell. I then realized he was a fake. Watch out for him

received a call from "the law office of John A best" the company claims that i owe from a cash advance loan taken in 2013 and they are filed federal charges against me today on 3 charges. i was contacted by a stage name of "mike davis" with a heavy indian accent. they provided me a fake federal filing # (which i cannot find in any court system federal/local).

One of my assistants answered a phone call in his office and the caller started to harass him but the caller wouldn't tell my assistant the exact reason for the call, who they were, couldn't give any monetary value owed, who was owed, just that he was going to get sued. The 2 man, foreign, tag team decided that they wanted to talk to his manager so I answered the phone and I politely stated my name and title, apparently they weren't too fond of females... they began to take turns telling me to hold on, what my name was again, told me to F**K OFF, called me an A-HOLE then hung up only to call back repeatedly and tell me to F**K OFF some more. I asked for his office/business name his response was PDS and that his name was "Mark Brown" I guess I wasn't worthy enough to talk to... So "Mark Brown" if you are reading this or can fully comprehend my report of your unwanted, recent pathetic attempt of fraud, please call my office again tomorrow, my other Assistant will be in and he is from India, I'm sure he can communicate with you better than I can. BTW... "Mark Brown" I'm from Las Vegas, your type of  scamming idiots are a dime a dozen here, I've seen them all and I've seen better...

SCAM!  Called my work and I got them to give me a call back  number and the "law office" they were calling from.  I googled the "law office" and they have a warning on their website that a scam is using their name fraudulantly and to notify the FTC.  When I called them back and called them out on being a scam "told a VERY foreign sounding guy that his name could not be Brian" he started swearing at me and then proceeded to bomb my work with phone calls.  Luckily I work with a VERY understanding boss.

They have been calling me everyday at work.  I have already filed a police report.  How do I get them to stop calling me at my job?

They will go to no end to scare you into giving them money! BY NO MEANS GIVE THEM ANYTHING EXCEPT TO TELL THEM YOU ARE GOING TO CALL A REAL ATTORNEY THAT THE LAW DOES HAS STRICT PENALTIES FOR THOSE STEALING THE IDENTITY OF A ATTORNEY WHO PASSED AWAY TWO YEARS AGO. THEY WILL TRY TO GIVE YOU THE NAME OF AN ATTORNEY IN THAT STATE BUT IT MOST CASES THAT PERSON HAS PASSED AWAY.  THEY CALLED MY WORK CALL CENTER OVER A FIVE DAY PERIOD SEVERAL TIMES AN HOUR UNTIL MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT BLOCKED THE NUMBER AND THEN CONTACTED THE FTC. I WISH THERE WAS A WAY TO MAKE THIS STOP. THEY TOLD ME THEY WANT TO TEACH ME ABOUT LAW I WOULD LIKE TO BE THERE TO TEACH THOSE IGNORANT PEOPLE ABOUT THE REAL LAW.

I just got a call from.them stating theres a lawsuit against me for $5,000 he had nerve to call me an idiot cus he couldnt give me the information I needed and got pissed off cus I didnt and have never applied for a cash loan and he hung up.... seriously who arr these ppl

I received a call today form "Reid" who could hardly even pronounce his own name....told me that there was a lawsuit against my name and SSN# and if I didn't return their call there would be action taken and I would lose my job and family.....For serious?!? Whatever if you can't even hardly speak good enough English to tell me your name is Reid...then you aren't from the United States, much less Dallas, TX....so I am guessing that I will be making a phone call to the Attorney General's office and hopefully this ignorant mess will stop!!!!!

Called said I owed money and couldn't understand the idiot to top it all off! Then he started threatening me even thou he said he was with the Johnny Bash law firm and that the call was being recorded. Why would someone from a law firm make threats over a recorded line?!?! Total SCAM!!!

I just received a call from them today. it was on my voicemail on cellphone. he was something about a law suit an that I would lose job if I didn't call him back or have my attorney  call. who is this guy ? john Wilson he said from a collection dept.

a person with an accsent called me and said I owed them money I ask them who they were they said how dare you and your going to be arrested.

the same thing just happened to me I was so confused. they told me i would be arrested.I just told them ok. I ask them who the were and told them they have the wrong number but theys said how dare you I just hung up. who are these people there crazy.

Having the same problem as everyone else. They are calling my cell and work phones. Does calling the FTC really help?

If these people call they are not any type of collectors they are scam artist's that are just trying to get your money. They called me at my work place and after 133 phone calls in a little under 1 hour my work called the phone company and got there phone # after the police answered the phone a few times they quit calling. A place that will not give you there address or the right name of the company is no legitimate business.

Bring it on Fraud-Boy! Come arrest me!

Hacking probably had nothing to do with it. PDL info. is being bought and sold now like a commodity. Scammers and frauds are getting this info. right "over the counter". Sometimes from the original creditors themselves.
Privacy in the PDL, Title & Online loan industry is now something guarded only by the people in the industry for themselves. The frauds in places like India did not acquire their info. because they're great hackers. They bought it, or it was given to them by the people backing them. People who, I can assure you, do NOT live in the Gujarati province of India or some pest hole in Pakistan. They're backed, funded & trained by westerners. The tactics the foreign frauds are using are not something they invented. In fact, most of their ploys were invented (and are still being used) by the fraud shops in places like Buffalo, NY. Is this a coincidence? NOT! This is also why so many boiler rooms in the US are dumping their employees. The parent companies know that they can hire scumbags in Ahmedabad for a fraction of the cost of hiring domestic scumbags. Which also accounts for the desperation that is becoming evident in the domestic fraudsters.
Sometimes knowing too much about the debt collection industry is...depressing. Oh well, the more we know, the better we can fight it!
