Recieved call said to be agent Eric Hayes from United States Customs and Border Protection. He gave a badge number and tried to be very convincing that he was on my side.There to protect me and to make sure everything was valid. DONT BELIEVE HIM!! This is a scam! The real publishers clearing house will confirm that. He feed the same story about the 2,800 fee and the charity.

My mother got the same call as well from Eric Hayes caliming to be acustoms and border agent.  He had a very demanding and threating tone with me when I told him I was following up on the call to my mother whom I introduced merely by her name.  

He told me that the fee was over $2,800 and needed to be sent in in order to accept the package from a publishing clearing house which was only two percent of the package total value.   Whe I asked him not to correspond with my mother he got angry and said he was going to return the package to Costa Rica and send her an affidavit saying that she donated the amount to the Negro Fund.

Also received a call from that number, same person,, same story.

Received a message from Erik Hayes with the Customs and Border Patrol about a suspicous package sent to my wife. Not sure if this was a legit call as we have a large Customs offce in our town.
