Called me at 3:23 p.m. EST and left no message.

Received call on cell at 2:25 PM but no message.

Received call on cell at 10:15 AM.  Hung up when I answered.

973-405-6075 called me at about 2:50 p.m.,
but did not speak when I said hello.

received a phone call and when i dialed back, i got a busy signal. when the person does pick up, there is no answer and after a lil while, it disconnects

Had a call from this number 2-20-2008.  no one spoke when I saw hello...tried calling back, line rings busy.

Called me at 1:34PM and didn't leave a message. I was thinking about calling back but then read your notes so I decided not worth using my minutes.

Filed Form 1088 today against this number  for junk telemarketing.

got a text saying to please dial this number. I know it's a New York City wireline number, but that's it.

I received the same call from them today as well. I figured it was a copmany I was waiting to hear about, but no answer. I called back, and no one answers, or the line is busy. I hate this.

I've gotten probably 10 calls within the past month from the New Jersy numbers with varying extensions... 2804,6077, 2805, and theres another one with 201-880-7638/42. Never leave messages, and always call during my school day so I never get the calls... for the past 4 days I've gotten one each day.

I too received a call from this number and when my daughter answered and said I wasn't there then she asked to take a message and they said yes, but then they hung up. Does anyone know who's number this is?

I've received 3 or 4 calls from this number: 973-405-6075 over the past few weeks.  

My guess is that this is telemarketing company, using a predictive dialer system and that they're looking for live fax numbers.  These companies comb phone numbers and wait to hear the response on the recipients end.  If they get a voice pickup, the system hangs up and moves on to the next number.  If they get a fax tone answer, they'll log the number and add it to their compiled list, which they then sell to fax advertisers/spammers.

You will periodically get another call from them, as they want to double check and make sure they're not missing any potential fax machine to spam.

By the way: the use of automated dialing systems to call cell phones is ILLEGAL.  Check out this FCC page with pertinent info: http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/truthaboutcellphones.html

Got a call at 3:10 pm today.  Decided to answer.  Lots of background noise.  Left the phone on speaker while I was driving and it just continued.  Finally ended the call and called the number back.  No answer.  I live in Georgia.  Don't know anyone in NJ.

Got call on my phone and did not answer as I didn't recognize the number. No message was left.  I am in Bradenton, FL.

This is weird. What's up with so many people getting calls from the same phone number? Two of my friends have gotten these calls and now I have, too. It's starting to freak me out a bit.

I got a call from this number at 2:41 pm on 10/3/07. I had gotten a call before from this number and was puzzled seeing that it was New Jersey. I don't know anyone in New Jersey and I live in Texas. I can only figure it is the mob trying to call me (just kidding).

hispanic girl, young - teens or early 20's, I think said she was from sprint and i was eligible for free upgrade cell phone but the one she named wasn't an upgrade.  i'm not even with sprint, either.  figured it was bogus - bet the caller id is bogus too.

received a call from this phone number at 2:53 pm eastern time.  it is not the first time this number has called, so i decided to answer it.  i said "hello?" there was a lot of laughing and noise in the background, and a man's voice said something barely intelligible in black vernacular english that sounded like "back in the day".  i said "what?" then the phone hung up.  this is very unusual because this is a new jersey number and I LIVE IN FLORIDA!  why is this person repeatedly calling me????

i tried reverse lookup on the internet. all i know is that this is a land line phone regestered in the vicinity of passaic, new jersey.  this person is a customer of a company called conversent communications.
