They called me to,  they dont give the name of who they are calling,  I dont have a clue who they want,  in additrion to that  I just got my new cellphone number and this starts.  I will ignore the calls when they call again,  you tell them to stop calling and they have trhe wrong number and they just DO NOT LISTEN

I received a call from this number.  I called back and they said they are a hospital business office.  I asked what hospital and she said "lots of them".  I asked her to name a few for me...she didn't.  She started asking for personal info. I hung up.

Rec'd a call on my cell phone.  No message left.  Don't recognize this number.

I got a call from this number but when I answered there was no one there. I ran a reversal look up and it came back as a residential phone number in New Jersey.

The caller said that she was calling from University Hospital and asked to speak to my husband. She would only give out the reference number and said it was a personal matter. Her call back #. 973 429-9662, and their ofcs wold open till 8pm. The Cr ID box showed 800 962-4705.

I called the 973 number twice at 6:30pm, and it diverts to a recording then gets the call drops; not disconnected but as though you're just hanging on the line in total silence.
THen I called the 800 number. The call proceeded to go to a recording stating that ofc was closed and a message could be left...so I left a msg to inquire why they were calling .
Anyway..my husband had some tests recently conducted at UMDNJ...We paid the co-pay and our insurance already paid the accepted negotiated fees so the bills are settled!!.

I received a message on my answering machine saying they were calling from University Hospital, asking me to call back at this number (973.429.9662).  We've been dealing with a claim following a visit to that hospital's ER, so it wasn't outrageous that we got a call from them...But the message sounded so generic that I called the number listed on one of our latest hospital invoices instead.  I asked about that number and they confirmed that it is their third-party billing office, and that they will sometimes run automatic-dial calls once every two weeks to assist them with their accounts.  So it is legit.  I would assume that they represent more than one hospital or medical office, as most third-party billing companies do.

i agree i used to work for the company...i don't mind helping people but the managers are full of crap the company needs to be investigated

It does not "help" anyone, I proved I paid with a letter from the bank, statement from bank and finally actual visa routing number.  they call 5 times a day failed to cease upon request failed to validate the debt.  I will have to sue them.  any response apollo?  Please?  Give me your ext.

I also work for this company and we are not a collections agency, but rather an extension business office of numerous hospitals.  We, under no circumstances, receive any type of commission for any type of payments.  The hospitals hire us to obtain insurance information, collect payments, offer discounts, or send charity care application.  We are not a scam and many of the rumors of my job are very completely false.

Got a call on a Sunday at 3:52 PM. Caller said they were Ms. Martin. Same as above. Said "This is not a solicitation but a personal matter regarding #..................... The number on the caller ID read 800-962-4705 but the person said to call 973-429-9662. I made a complaint. I see that this number has many with the FTC...

This is total BS. If this was legit, the collection agency would already have the information they are asking for. And besides, I get these calls too and it is always from different places asking to speak with someone of the same name. However, it's never my name nor is it the name of anyone I know or am related to. If this was truly legit, they would get my name right. I have gotten these calls for a few years now. It's a scam. It has absolutely nothing to do with your hospital bill.

Obviously, a good general rule is if an unsolicited person asks for your Social Security Number, then it's a scam.

This is a scam. Ignore it or if you want to do something about it file an FCC complaint.

Everything is done there through electronic system. The hospital may have received payment but not have updated through us. If we call you and you state you have payed... all we have to do is submit it for client verification of payment. The hospitals are slow at updating us with payment info. We do admit when we make a mistake.

Got a call about an invoice from JFK Medical Center.  Called the Medical Center with the phone number off my invoice, not with the number they gave e and they told me it was probably a collection agency from a bill I had with them.  The call was made 3/27 from the collection agency but the bill had been paid in full February.  Miscommunication or scam?  You be the judge.

Called and asked for name, date of birth, social security and said they were calling about a hospital bill from JFK Hospital. They gave me the hospital account number but would not give me any more details.

This is a collection agency, they have mulitple contracts with hospitals around New Jersey, what they do is that they try to call people to get them to either pay their hospital bills or give them insurance information, so that they can process the claim, then the hosptial gives them ma percentage of the money. My best bet is to not make any payments through wit these people, if they call u just tell them that you are going to contact the hospital personnally and then go and solve it. There namem is Apollo Health Street, they are located in Bloomfield.

I work for this company... The reason why they call you is because the hospital, clinic, doctors, office or any medical related field contacts us so that we may get in touch with the patient in case the hospital needs secondary insurance and are having a hard time obtaining it... also, if the patient does not have secondary insurance, we offer them a discount and or try to help them get charity care of help to pay the bill... the reason why they ask for the last 4 digits of the social, address, and dob is per hipaa regulations, no information can be disclosed to anyone other then the patient or the health care provider with out the consent of the patient... anyone can pick up the phone and say they are that person...with out that information they will not disclose any information. if you would like, look up apollo health street, its located in bloomfield nj...

woman called asking for my 1 year old son, very strange.  I think they are purchasing information from sources at hospitals and trying to scam people.  Do not give them any information.

This is for an unpaid hospital bill.  They serve several states and hospitals.
The bad part is I already paid that bill.  Ridiculous!

Got two calls today from (800) 962-4705. They only let it ring twice and hang up. They don't even wait for the answering machine. After reading this, I am wondering who it is. The ID is "Unknown Name." I was in the hospital recently, but there shouldn't be any outstanding bills! They should either leave a message or go away! Anyone know how to block this number?
