They have called twice in one day, only a few hours apart. I called the number back and it was Discover Card trying to reach me for a promotional offer or something stupid like that. It was not a bill collector, because I have no balance on my card.

Just got 3 hangup recordings in less than 1 day - been relentlessly harassed for weeks.  Called Discover at 1-800-347-2683, keyed in a few digits of my account number, and worked through the menus until getting one that gave me a choice of 0 for an account manager.  Pressed 0, talked to a live person, asked to be on the "do not solicit" list.  They said they will take me off of phone calls and paper mailings - no more of those dumb blank checks in the mail.

Don't bother trying to block every number they call from. If they think you're blocking the calls, they'll start calling from different numbers everyday.

I recommend chatting with a Discover representative online through their website. As I posted above, the person I chatted with offered to add me to Discover's "do-not-solicit" list, and I haven't received a call from them since.

Actually, they've gone from using toll free numbers, which I had blocked, to a New Jersey number!

I thought I had these guys blocked ... now they are calling from different numbers!!

So, just minutes ago, I went to discovercard.com, clicked on customer support, and found a live chat link. Stacey was very helpful and added me to Discover's "do-not-solicit" list. So, we'll see what happens.

Seriously. I blocked the number they were calling with originally, now they're calling me from different numbers in different area codes everyday. (I'm pretty sure some of them were coming from outside the U.S.) And, I can't even answer the calls, because the d***hit telemarketers hang up when my answering service asks them (like all unknown callers) to say their name.

F****ng ridiculous.
