They called everyday last week and this weekend I finally answered. They said they were conducting a survey for IRS. I told him I don't do surveys. He hung up.

Called at 9:59 PM this evening    Said they were doing a survey for the IRS to make them more "helpful" to taxpayers.  I was so shocked I just blurted out NOT AT 10:00 oclock at night they didn't !! "
The person said sorry and hung up .

Russell Marketing claimed to be doing a survey for the IRS. The IRS did a legitimate survey in 2005 pertaining to e-filing. However, they asked for no personal information.

Please email the IRS and notify them. Also, contact your state Attorney General and give them all of the phone numbers. If the numbers are "spoofed" their offices may have the resources to nail these scam artists.

I am so tired of people trying to commit fraud! Never give out your SSN over the phone. Period.

Have been receiving 2 phone calls per day from Russell Marketing Research.  When I answer there is no response nor do they leave a voicemail.

I have caller ID and this Russell Marketing has been calling regularly today on 30 min. intervals, so it must be am automated dialer.  I finally got mad and answered, but no one was there.  Then I called the number back and like the message above, it sounded like a fax machine.  This is VERY annoying to say the least. I have been letting my answering machine pick it up but the ringing is just annoying especially because my dog barks on every ring!!!
7 calls in 3 hrs and I am also on the DO NOT CALL LIST

Got 11 calls from them the last 2 hrs. Nobody on the other side

Have seen this number on caller ID several times;  caller left no message.  I, too, am on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

Called claiming to be doing research for the IRS...Since when does the IRS care one whit what I (or anyone else for that matter) think?  Very fishy!

Calling all hours of the day and late into the evening, waking up my toddler.  I called the phone number someone posted above (Phone: 973-785-7788) since when I called back the caller ID number I got a busy, and a lady answered the phone (it's 8:47 Mountain Time right now) and was quite nice and offered to take the number out of their database right away.  We'll see if the calls stop; usually takes a day or two.

Call from 973-890-5108, and when my husband answered, there was no response on the other end.
Eventually they disconnected. Have no idea who it was.

Russell mkting has called 6 times within 30 minutes.

have called 4 times before 10 am.

They call every day.  We ask them to remove us from their list and they hang up right away.  They seem to be scam artists trying to get information from you.  Who knows how they'd use your information?  Identity theft is very common these days.  We're also on the no-call list, but these guys don't care.  Shouldn't this be illegal?  I can't get them to stop calling every day.

I`m  so sick of this number calling twice a day for the last two weeks !
Caller ID says 'New Jersey Call'
You answer and its just dead air.  I return call and get the Screaming Fax sound.
I only have one phone with caller ID so I dont always know who is calling.
I called the operator to see if I could block that number from calling.....well, yes you can, pay a monthly charge for "Blocking", or I could change my phone number.
We are also on the NO CALL REGISTRY,...thats a laugh
Can`t  we turn them in for calling if we are on that list ??

We should all get together and jam their fax !
At the end of the month I could continously call their number and BLOW A WHISTLE into their phone when someone answers and then hang up untill I use up all my cell phone minutes !

Getting the same calls as you all....claim to be taking a survey for...I looked them up and I think this is them......it is a marketing company......give them a holler

call from Chris at Russell Research regarding IRS survey....this was my second call.  WHen I asked to be removed from their list, he hung up on me.  Not very professional.

Caller just makes it to the answering machine and says hello a few time each time they call and then hang up. When we call back from the caller I.D., we get what sounds like a fax machine, which I'm sure is and automatic dialer, since the first call came through this morning and then again close to 5 p.m. We also have our names on the Do Not Call Registry, for what that's worth.

They call and leave no messages. I refuse to answer anyone with the word "marketing" on caller id. Don't know who they are.
