Continue to receive nuisance calls after requesting they stop calling. (Wrong number)

Thanks. This is what I tried to say earlier. Hopefully, your mistake will not cost a great company business.

Vacation Home Rentals is a great site. I've had my home listed on that site for three years and have rented my house as much as I've wanted to rent it. It's not a scam. It's a beautifully designed site. There are no callers. They're not trying to sell you listings. Not sure what site you are looking at...There are sites with similar names. www.vacationhomerentals.com is a really good site for people who want to rent their vacation homes.

Nothing but a SCAM.
If they have to call you to convince you to pay them money to have your rental property listed, it's a scam. Plain and simple. True legitimate companies that brings you bookings like VRBO, HomeAway & Flipkey do not make any phone call solicitation because they are legitimate. Plain and simple.

I have had a property in New England listed with them for 4-5 years. They are a legit, but small Massachusetts company. I did get on average one booking a year from them. Last year I had 19 inquiries, 7 of which were for non-summer months, but no bookings. I kept them because the booking was in the offseason, at least initially. I have no trouble renting during the summer through VRBO/Homeaway so I really only need VHR to provide offseason rental. They no longer do that, so I am dropping them this year.
The one thing that bothers me is I don't like putting all of my advertising budget with one company, no matter who they are. So, I will probably try out another site this year, maybe Flipkey.

I think this VacationHomeRentals.com.com is a complete scam. The offer you a free trial and then even after you tell them to cancel it, they still try to bill your card. Constantly call you to upgrade, but with no promise for results. For the one listing that I tried on VHR site for 60 days, I got 6 inquiries (0 bookings), By comparison, on the other sites, my results were: VRBO (49 inquiries, 8 bookings), Flipkey (47 inquiries, 1 booking), Airbnb (12 inquiries, 1 booking). I think the numbers speak for themselves - don't deal with VacationHomeRentals.com - save your money!

Dear,
Please check twice before mentioning any comment. Do you have any proof of scam ?
Regards

Sure is a scam. I was on the phone with a Roger Brown and was interested in listing my property on there site, just ready to give them my information when my other phone line rang and my wife answered it and she told me Roger Brown was wanting to talk to me! These losers just about hooked me but it was my day for some luck.

Thank you for posting this! I too own a vacation rental and get soliciting calls all the time about it. To the point that I don't even pick up unless I know who it is and don't call back unless they leave a message. It's too bad and a waste of everyone's time.
I got a call from this number and immediately Google-ed it and it led me here. I also got a call from a similar number less than an hour ago from a guy in Orlando posing as "Dave" who left a message. I can see those guys from a mile away.
Currently listing with HomeAway and VRBO and love it.

I have two properties listed with them. They do generate inquiries. But their customer service is extremely mean... Phone number always does't work. No e-mail reply if I have technical service issues. Basically their service department is disfunctional.
They don't accept any complaint, nothing you can do with them. They are not BBB acrredited. So they won't be responsible for you if anything goes wrong.
If you are using their free trial, keep it ONLY for trial. Don't subscribe with them. It's not worth your money and time to deal with them. All they want to do is to get your money.

I have called VHR several times over the last few days.. i have emailed them... no reply... i have found the number in India listed above... called them and after several tries, finally some guy in their sales department answered.. very shady, wouldn't give me a phone number, said there is no phone number listed on website... although there is, just not a number that anyone pics up... i asked to cancel my free 30-day trial, and hopefully, he'll send the email to them to do so...
THANK GOD i'm cancelling only after two days after getting the free trial, otherwise I'd be in trouble contacting them with days before my free trial expires.
Whether this company is legit or not, and i'm sure they are legit, and many people use them, I CERTAINLY WILL NEVER USE THEM AS THE CUSTOMER AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, MEMBER SUPPORT ARE NON-EXISTANT

Sounds to me you are one of the scammers from vacationhomerentals.com! Huge waste of time and money. Stay away from this company!

I use HomeAway, vrbo, FlipKey and Vacation Home Rentals..... VHR is my best source for results. And I do not work for them, just wanted to make sure i got some renters and needed to compare. May keep FlipKey as well, dropping all of the others.
Cape Chantry House 2012-11-15 13:56:46 Unknown
I agree, I have a vacation home listed with them and every other listing site out there. 90% of my activity comes from them alone. Will be dropping the others coming up for renewal.
DaveK 2012-10-05 12:21:14 Unknown
Ryan and Adam probably also work for VHR - look at their posts - it's copy and pasted, only different number of properties and inquiries :)

I have many sites for my FL rental home and none of them work except VRBO I have used vacation rental homes before and never go a single booking. They called me just now and want me to sign up for $200, I want a free trial for 6 mos as I have rec'd from other companies, not spending more money on sites that do not produce
Patti 2011-11-08 21:13:20 Unknown
I have had several homes listed with them over the years and have found them to be a pretty good value for the money. They charge a lot less than VRBO/Homeaway/Vactionrentals and do provide a fair amount of inquirires.

I receive phonecalls from VacationHomeRentals.com constantly. They are a scam company too. Promise the world, do not take NO for an answer and will call and harass you at least twice a month. I am trying to find a way to report them so they stop calling me and trying to solicit their business to me.
Stick with homeaway.com for the best way to rent your home. It may be a bit pricey, but it brings great results and is a tax write off anyway. What other company is big enough to have had a Super Bowl Commercial?
Connie 2011-08-04 15:39:58 Unknown
I made a mistake. It's not VacatonHomeRentals.Com. It's Travelodgings.com. I received phone calls from both of the company. However, it's the guy from Traveloging.com 514-907-1156 that pretended he was renter. I am sorry that I identified the wrong company.
Connie 2011-08-04 15:14:39 Unknown
Someone from VacatonHomeRentals.Com just called me which made me very mad and upset. At first I thought he was trying to sell me listings on vacation rental website and asked him to remove my phone from his list as I had been receiving a lot of phone calls from different vacation rental websites. He then pretended that he was a renter and asked me a lot of questions regarding to my property. Finally he told me that he was from VacatonHomeRentals and wanted me to put ad in their website. I felt cheated and very angry. He should not do business like this.
Mike H 2011-06-06 21:08:36 Unknown
this company tries to sell you listings on vacation rentals. its mostly a scam they have an obscure web site yu pay to get your rental listed and it actually gets you no business. if you want to waste some good money yu could buy their service.
darryl 2011-06-06 21:08:36 Unknown
no offence but that's not true, they do telemarketing but vacationhomerentals.com is a good site and gets the owner of rentals decent business...and it's not about the money....they list your rental for free to gve u bookings if u want to try them out...their website has a free trial offer the moment u go on "owners join here"
Stephanie 2011-06-06 21:08:36 Unknown
thanks Mike, that was great info. I just blocked them.
