Picked up the call from Adam Locksmith. Just heard keys being typed. No answer apart from that. When I called back, a rude message says "We don't recognize your number" and then hangs up.

Scammers! They are well known "fund raisers" that donate a very small percentage (about 2%) of their funds to police charities. The run under the guise of "Non-Profit" but all that means is there's no money left after they pay themselves.

Just called here. Came up with Unknown on phone. Answered, they asked for me by my first name - told them "she" wasn't home yet and asked if I could take a message, and they just faded away......no reply.

There was a call noted on my caller ID from Adams Locksmith on Sun 5/25 at 6:28pm, no VM left. Another call came on Wed 5/28 at 8:52 pm. I picked up, said hello, but there was no reply, just heard computer keys clicking. Looks like it's a landline in Andover MA, but who knows. Is definitely some sort of scam.

So is it Adams Locksmith or the National Police? My caller ID said Adams Locksmith but it was someone calling to raise money for the National Police. Fix your Caller ID and stop calling people on the Do Not Call list.

I received a call on 5/11 from 978-699-3111. It came up as National Police on my caller Id. The guy on the phone thought I had answered my phone when the answering machine picked up. I could hear him ask to speak to me by my first name. He had an English or an Australian accent.

got calls 5/6 and 5/8 of same # (978-699-3111) came up as "unknown". I do not answer such #'s and they can't leave me vm either.

Received a call from 978-699-3111 on Tuesday, 5/6/14, 4:34 pm EDT. Caller ID read "National Police" Did not recognize and did not pick up. No voice mail left. Tried to find the source but could get only so far. Appears to be a landline in Andover, Mass., but also found a reference to Acton, Mass., which town is in the 978 code. Anybody got any good info?
