I received text message from Unverified Sender Oct. 25, 2011 and it read "(9172468911)Wells Fargo ZFEV alert 433723.  Please call (985)-951-1092."  Call back phone # is the 9172468911 and my research leads me to believe it is an India cell phone #.  I do not have a Wells Fargo acct, so I did not call.  They may make money for every call they receive or possibly they are trying to get banking information.

As other here I received 20 texts saying they were from HSBC and to call 9859511092 . They were all from pulw@mwasd.com

I got a text message to call this number regarding a bank account with HSBC.   I didn't have a bank account with HSBC and when I called HSBC to report this I was the one treated like I was a criminal.  Finally got my message through to the fraud security folk at HSBC that I was just trying to alert them.   Took me half an hour to get through to them - so much for no good deed goes unpunished - LOL.  Wished I had seen these postings earlier

I called the number from another phone.  It's a scam to get your banking info.

and then 1 multimedia text from the same place with a lot of Spanish disclaimers and number signs

I have received exactly the same message, it reads,

Got this sms non-stop for a few hours now. I have to go airplane mode. Really hate this. T-mobile should block this.

I'm getting the same thing. They are sending an e-mail to the t-mobile e-mail address which send a text.

I got the HSBC call to voice mail on my cell phone requesting me to call the number to verify my credit card. I did not call off course

Got this text this afternoon. Is their seriously nowhere to forward this text to have it investigated and ultimately have these idiots arrested?

I don't bank with HSBC so I just disregarded the message. Where the hell are they getting all these 917 numbers and who has the time to do this??

Just Spoke with HSBC and this is definitely fraud.  They are already working on the problem. I was told do not respond to any texts as they would never send one.

I got a text on my cell phone today from 917.479.7438 concerning "HSBC DLNC alert 837238. please call 985.951.1092.

I have never got a message like that before BUT I did just start doing business with Wells Fargo. So I would suggest that someone at WF look inside their organization to see where the leak is becuase I have been banking with HSBC for 15 years and they never had my cell phone #!

also got a text , saying to call 98859511092 regarding my HSBC card .. They would never do this .

got a similar message ...deleted the message prior to seeing this entry section of the page.

Just got one too text from 917 457 2871 all caps HSBC-HRTH-alert - 188173. Please call 985 951 1092 received at 1:36pm glad I double checked the number and have read its a scam!! Dont have HSBC account - definitely a scam!!!
