keeps calling like twice a day

they called me only once on my brother's phone but for me!!>?? Anyway like everyone else im glad i looked it up too and thank god for a site like this. I know people from 989 area code and have an ex girlfriend out there and thought maybe It was her cause she just started tryin to reconnect with me. anyway, I tried to call the number back but got a "non working number" They hadnt called me back since then a few days ago.

just got a call from this number today...they didnt leave a message..but who would call from Michigan?? i dont know anyone there

989 is from North east/central Michigan - that alone worries me.

Yes...this number keeps calling me also. It show's + in a front of the number like it's coming from over seas. They never leave a message. Be careful! SCAM!!!!

This # has called me several times per day for the past 2 weeks. Today i decided to answer. Some man who could barely speak English says he is from Credit Card Solutions and my account is past due. Thing is, I have NO CREDIT CARDS and never have. Do not give these people any info and hang up!

+9898128913 keeps calling me. I'm a teen and I've had this number for a couple of years but I don't give it out carelessly. I did a couple of times when I was younger couple years back when I first got the phone, but these calls didn't start till recently this year of 2010. When I don't pick up and just press "reject" they call right back. They never leave a massage. And when I do pick up they hang up on me. I can't call them back, the directory tells me the number can't be completed as dialed. I also recently started getting calls from a blocked number and they do the same things as +9898128913: Never Answers, Never Leaves a Message, Always Hangs Up With Out a Word

I am glad I looked this number up; I started receiving calls from this number today.  Do not call it back or any numbers you don't know.  I have been charged for calls before.  Sometimes they go out of the states; I have read that some were charged as high $25 a minute. Always research before calling back.

We just got a call from this phone number on one of our cell phones yesterday, and I believe it's the same Indian accent ppl. who have been trying to scam money out of my daughter.  She applied for a payday loan on the computer (yes, I know this is stupid to do, and now she knows to never put personal info. on the computer).  She was denied of the loan, but they have all her personal info such as home/work phone numbers, banking info., SS#, etc. and she put me down as a reference so they had my phone number also.  This has been going on for over a year, and has been all over the news of this scam.  Someone hacked into a payday loan computer and got personal info. on many, many, many people and when they fail to get money out of someone, they sell the acct. information to some other shady organization. They have been harassing both my daughter and I saying she received money for a loan and want her to pay $1,000 to settle out of court.  They have threatened to come to her place of employment and take her to court/jail (this is not done in the U.S. and is totally bogus).  I heard that they are calling from India and can spoof any phone number to make you believe they are calling from the U.S.. The FBI and and several other organizations have been trying to crack down on these people because several people just pay the money thinking that they will be hauled off to jail if they don't. Again, not sure if this is the same scam, but anytime someone who calls with an Indian accent (my son answered the phone and told them I was not here), I gotta believe that it is them trying to harass us again.  Hope this information helps.

This # has been calling me for 3 days..its 10:02pm my time and it just called again..i answered and then a guy with an indian accent started telling me about my debt that was between 5 and $10,000...I asked the man if he even knew who he was speaking to then he called me terry... I told him to put his supervisor on and he told me no then hung up...I work for a collections agency and that man did everything your not aloud to do..the whole process was illegal... i dont think its a collections agency at all and when i go into work monday im pulling a metris on the #...im pretty sure its a scam and if not they are gonna have serious legal issues when I do find out which company it is...ill update everyone =:o)

This number calls everyday and when I answer there is no reply and they hang up.  What's the point?  Been going on for more than a week.

this phone has called me 4 times in 2 days, no messags either

I didn't answer the phone but another website said its a spoofed number. so its probably a debt collector

they call me every day looking for a kelly person and when i tell them there is no kelly that lives here, i have had this number for a few weeks, to remove my number, they hang up on me. they called on 6.8.2010 5 times in an hour and half

i keep getting this call from this number and every time i answer the call they hang up.. i try to call it back and i either get a busy signal or an invalid number frm a recorded message...

Called me too and some idiot on the other line just kept saying "Hello", so I did the same until they hung up. Does anyone else happen to have an account with GoDaddy.com; I suspect they are selling our information?

This number just called my phone, 2 rings, hangup. Called again, left blank voice mail.

I received a short garbled message from this number and when I tried to return the call the operator said its a non working number. Earlier I answered a call from this same non working number and no one would answer my greetings.
