It's from Cancun Calling.  I got pissed at the guy so he's put me on repeat dial every couple of minutes.  They've called me about 20 times now in the last hour.

lol, their first call i missed answering it...googled the number, read everyones comments, then an hour later they called again...I answered in french, and switched to spanish, and said no english lol...they hung up on me LOL I dont think they will call back!

i answered a recording said i won 100,000 air miles and id won a trip to Cancun and/or Florida, when they started asking credit info i hung up

don't you people know that you can get dinged with a hefty phone bill for calling a certain number back. If I don't the number well they can call back

Just got a call from 998-287-4100 trying to sell me a timeshare in Cancun, Mexico.  They got my number from a guy I work with (he already owns a timeshare in Cancun.)  I guess he'll get a referral fee if I decide to buy one.  He'll have to learn to deal with disappointment. The lady was polite when I told her I wasn't interested.

I received a call from this number and when I answered it no one was there. When tried to call it back I kept getting a busy signal. Not sure how they even got the phone number.

I can say Sunset Group is not a scam.  I own timeshare with them and, as far as timeshare companies go, they are on the level.

But, I don't think these people are really with the company.  The same guy called me last month and said he is from another timeshare company where we used to have timeshare.  We received an email from Sunset warning that people would be calling under false pretenses and to ignore them.

have recieved a call from this # everyday for the last few weeks. I NEVER answer a call on my cell phone unless i know the caller so have let this ring thru. They have never left a message. Is there anyway to block this? I am almost 100% sure this is a scam of some sorts

Claimed to be from a travel agency representing a hotel chain that owned the hotel I stayed at in Cancun in March 2009, asked to talk to me or my ex wife who i separated from in 2005.  Would not leave name and contact info or communicate in writing so I declined to answer his questions

had a missed call from this number too... i don't like to pick up numbers with no name and then i'll call them back if they leave a message or google their number first... ;) same with this number, i googled it and came to this page, called back and it said "your call cannot be completed as dialed.." LOL.

Called three times yesterday, I didn't answer. i'm not sure what the deal is, scam or otherwise, regardless, it's useless....don't answer.

It is a scam 4 sure, do not give ur credit card number! :( they called me today and yesterday from a 403 Alberta number.

Called both me and my roommate at almost the same time, on the same day. I didn't answer as I do not take calls from numbers I do not know. They did not leave a message so I sent a txt, "Who is this?" at which I received a, "you have texted a landline...." message. I decided to call but when I did it said the line was disconnected.

Probably from a company called Cancuncalling They are trying to get $700.00 for a week vacation, hotel only plus a week in Orlando. It's a scam.

Called 5 times in a row... I didn't pick up because I'm not paying for random calls on my cell phone. I just kept dismissing the phone call. Caller left a bunch of hang-ups on my answering machine.

This was the message I got from them:

"Hello good afternoon...Melina XXXXXXXX", (I could not understand what she said after that) then says "please give me a call, my name is Lyna and my telephone number is 800-961-6024 ex. 6180."

"Thank you and have a wonderful time".

Then she didn't hang up which you can hear a bunch of noise in the background as well as her breathing into the phone, then it disconnects.
