just called the phone company cause we have been getting calls from this number for a few months now and they just wont stop!  the phone company said that this usually happeneds  to people that have their number published, so we changed our number and asked that they not publish it, guess we will see if it works!

We have gotten calls from this number, I check the area code and it said that it is the country code for parts of Nicaragua.

I am getting these calls every day.  The guy sounds foreign.  I have asked that he put us on their do-not-call list, and he said that it is his duty to call me and that he will continue to do so.  I said he is harassing me, and his comment was "who are you?"  I told him a private citizen that doesn't want unwanted phone calls.  He said that he will continue to call and started arguing with me, at which time, I hung up.  WHat's the use of a Do Not Call Registry if you still get these annoying calls?

This number has called three times today alone, saying he was from microsoft. He stated that they have been receiving warnings from my computer showing I have a virus. When I said I would call them back to verify who they were, they got very hateful and almost demanded that I respond. I told hime that if he was trying to help me, he did not have to have that kind of attidude and I hung up.

I have gotten this call 4 times today either no one there or I get the "Thank You"  I have had these calls from the Indian saying they are calling from Microsoft about 10 times this year.  I am on the do not call list, but that is a joke.  Anyone have any ideas where this can be escalated to?

Have received numerous phone calls from this number.
Told him I do not have a computer.  This does not deter him.
Would like to know country of origin of these phone calls.
He sounds Indian.

My experience confirms the other messages.  Three calls today.  My wife answered first and couldn't understand a word of what the caller was saying.  We've received two other calls, but because of caller ID, we know who it is and don't answer.

This number is really getting on my nerves. I tried to report it to the Do Not Call Registry but it won't recognize the number.

I have received numerous calls from a man with an Indian accent.  I asked him to stop calling me and he laughed.  I asked to speak to his supervisor and another Indian accent man came on the line he was vulgar and threatening.  Using obscene sexual threats ie rape etc..

Same thing here...calling everyday.  Spoke to him the other day and told him to quit calling.  He said he would if I paid $79...

He said he was from microsoft.

Keep getting calls but no one on the other line - sometimes after a few seconds a female voice says
"thank You" (sounds like a recording)

Same thing.  East Indian accent.  Called 3 times today, once yesterday.  When he said he was calling from Microsoft I said No, you"re not and told him to stop calling.  Didn't work.

I got a call from this number and did not answer = Caller ID is Unknown.

I got this call also... I realized what was going on right away... I told him I didn't have a computer so he asked to talk to henry (no henry lives here).  I told him henry didn't have a computer so he asked for another name that I could not understand.... I then started talking as fast as I could without taking a breath about why he didn't want to talk to me and how did he get my number and is this his only job b/c I do this and this... he hung up on me.. broke my heart!

This person calls us almost everyday sometimes more than once. Today they have called 4 times. They try to get us to get onto our computer to apparently install something that I am assuming will have a virus or something similarly negative. Is this number maybe from out of the country or somehow it shows up different than what it really is? Because that can't be a real phone number. He says he is from Microsoft Windows Technical Department located in Salt Lake City, UT. This has been going on for months. As I am typing this they called again but on our land line. The first three calls were on a cell phone. We asked for a phone number to verify who he really is but hung up in the middle of giving the number. How do we get this to stop?

I just received a similar call from this number.  The guy, obviously foreign, didn't give a name and immediately went into a rant that my computer was sending out viruses.

This call is the Microsoft Scam.  The caller is foreign speaing (maybe India) and says that they are calling because I have a virus that has been detected in my computer.
