Rec'ed a call FROM PHONE # 1212999365 BAD GUYS scamers

We kept them going for a while to make them think we would fall for their scam.  They actually got mad when we let them know that we were messing with them.  Haha.  I told them I would slit their throats and that they should die of brain cancer.  

Received several calls from this number.  I have taken the time and played along with the scam a few times.  But, today, didn't have the time or interest.  So, right off told her that she was scamming.  She told me to shut up, in the worst English language spoken over the phone, before hanging up on me.  What I don't understand, is this time she had my name.  ?  Didn't like that at all.

Annoying calls, every 3 or 4 days, at least twice a day. How can we stop this? I never answer but it is annoying.

At 6:08 am the phone rang. I was dead to the world and very irritated to be awakened by an idiot trying to sell me something. I knew the area code was not from this world so I picked the phone up and said "what?"  The idiot didn't speak.  I said "what?" again and asked why they were calling me at 6 am.  The idiot hung up.

Received this call at 7:00am.... Did not recognize the number...someone with an Indian accent wanted to talk to me about my computer... I said I was hanging up on them.... And then immediately closed down my computer.... Sounded like a scam to me!

caller said "my name is javin and I am calling from windows support".  I said "REALLY !"  and he said  "really !"  so I said "oh please !" and I hung up.  this is like the 10th call from this number in as many days.  foreign accent, sometimes men, sometimes women  and someone needs to stop these kind of calls.

I'm a Sys Admin for this network of computers.  Judging from other commenters on other websites, this is a scam call from "Microsoft".  I know this network inside & out & there's no "virus" or other problems with my network.  Besides, no area code in the U.S. starts with a number 1.  It does in Birmingham England though (+44 121), so this is a spoofed number.  BEWARE!

Did not leave a message. Knew it was a scam since 1 isn't a valid first digit for an area code.

The microsoft scam is well known. They tell you that someone has hacked your computer so they can get access to personal infomation. Don't fall for it!

Called to say my computer was being hacked wanted me to log on to my computer

Same as many above. Said they were Microsoft Tech Support.  Gave "official sounding" information that I wasn't to share with anyone.  They and I were the "only ones" that could access and verify this information.   Same 121-299-9365 New York  caller ID.  Same call back number 885-677-5556.
Instead of a man, it was a woman.  Her "name" Stephanie Miller.  Heavy Indian accent.  Went along for a while to see where it was leading. Kept trying to convince me that they were legit, having me look at my registry that was expired and some error codes, etc.  Said for a nominal fee they could fix. They wanted money...FYI... Microsoft says they would never ask for money for a computer fix.  Don't be scammed!!!

Common Microsoft scammers from India.  I usually play along with them and then shoot 'em down when I get tired of their stupidity.

They will also call you from 412-351-2888. Same people different number.

Called me at 8:04 am and said nothing.. Caller ID only stated "New York"

Called this morning at 7:46am, picked up phone and hung it up.  Sure has balls, calling at this hour!

This is the second time we received this call from "New York". The first time my husband took the call and the rep said he was in the Virgin Islands. He said he worked for Microsoft and wanted us to log into our computer to fight off some hackers. It is a complete hoax and when my husband asked if all Microsoft customers were getting personalized calls, the guy hung up.
Just got a call a few minutes ago and told the woman not to call me ever again I knew it was a hoax, she hung up.

As these calls seem to be coming from India, does anyone know how to cuss in Hindi?  I would like to tell the jerk calling what I think of his mother AND the cow she rode into town on, in his language!

I have had two calls from this number claiming they were from Microsoft .  Very noisy  calling center very loud.  they claim my computer is  hacked.  I told them I do not believe that they are from Microsoft.  I have a couple of different anti various programs and Panda internet security  I don't think my computer is leaking info.

We have been getting calls from 121-121-299-9365 and what shows up on our phone as 1-121-299-9365.  When I tried calling the number back it says it is not a valid number.  The people calling have East Indian accents, however, I did get one call from this number from someone with a British accent.  I did play along with them far enough to get the website they wanted me to access, which is www.support.me.com .... I know THEY ARE HACKERS because with VERY rare exceptions Microsoft does not place ANY outbound calls to users.  We became concerned that our computer HAD been hacked, so we took our machine into our computer technician who found nothing.  We have tried telling these callers that we know they are hackers, that there has been a report on the radio about them (which there has been), cussing at them, telling them their Karma will get them, and that they are liars, cheats, and thieves, but they still keep calling.  We put Anonymous Call Blocking on our phone this morning, so hopefully these calls from "Not Available" will be blocked in the future.  The calls we're receiving 4-8 times a week for the last 4 months are annoying .... I don't understand why the FCC cannot do something about these people.  I hope someone catches them and prosecutes them to the full extent of the law.

WARNING TO ANYONE RECEIVING THESE CALLS:  JUST HANG UP and, if you have the capability, BLOCK their number.  Comcast will not let me add this number to Call Screening because it says it is not a valid number, so hopefully Anonymous Call Blocking (*77) will do the trick.

Just got a call from this number.  Certainly not the first time so I saw caller ID and did not answer it.  I have received many many calls from these idiots and have actually reported to FTC but of course nothing comes of it.  Too bad they don't have a way of finding these people and fining them thousands of $$$$$

Sick to death of these calls not to mention the 1 ring calls from the Caribbean islands.  What next?

I have also received calls from this 1-121-299-9365 number - at least six in the last week - I think because our name is listed in the phone book and they are just going through it.  Microsoft scam - when I ask them for their number they give out 1-855-677-556 and say are Windows Help.   I know all about this scam so then tell them I know it is a scam and then they hang up.   I am in the California Bay Area.  I know there is nothing that can be done but I hope a way of preventing vulnerable being targeted who do not realize is a scam.

recvd call from same tele, asked for a cb # was given 866-539-8674 to call back to verify they are legit contractors out of California for Microsoft. I called Microsoft directly 800-642-7676 and was informed that Microsoft has no "contractors" and they have been receiving hundreds of calls reporting this issue.

I just got off the phone with one of these foreigners. He said that his name was Paul Harris but I don't believe him. He said that people were trying to hack my computer and that my registration was expired. My computer was going to be dropped in an hour and I would not be able to use it after that. Of course I didn't fall for this so when I said this was suspicious he got angry and said fine well in an hour we will see how you feel when you can't use your computer! Ugh, so annoying!! He said the company he was calling from was called Windows Best Help and the number to call back was 1-855-677-5566.

Same as other posts - accent from India saying he was from Microsoft and there was a problem with my computer. I said that this call is a scam and I was going to report his number. He told me he would hold on. I hung up.

I got a call about 30 minutes ago from this 121 number and he was telling me that hackers were trying to get into my computer and  I needed to push the windows key and r key at the same time and it would bring up the proof on my computer so I could see that the hackers were trying to get into my computer. I ask him for a call back number since I didn't believe he was from Microsoft and he gave me his name and phone number to call back....he said his name was Kyle(not sure of that as I didn't understand what he said for sure) Williams (did understand that).....that the call back number was 855-677-5556.....his ID # was 11125TW....that when I called the 855 number that I needed to ask for him and give his ID number. He started again asking me to push the windows key and r together and I told him I had another call that I would call him later and hung up.
Nope Not going to call him back....although would like to know if the 855 number is valid.
Did get the same call a few months ago also.

I got a call today. Don't know where area 121 is? Nobody talked, but I thought it sounded like a Chinese person in the background.

Received a call this morning at 8:45 a.m. from this number.  A woman in a foreign voice (perhaps Indian) asked me if this was Barbara.  I said yes and she hung up.
