This number is calling over and over. There is no one there and now it leaves dead air messages in voicemail when it isn't picked up.

call comes up unknow name and number 124392 2400...when I answer...it clicks off when I call it back it says this number cannot be reached.....

I have had this phone number (1-124-392-2400) call me at least once a day, every day for the last three weeks.  I am so sick of seeing this number that I finally decided to look it up.  There's never any message, just a hang up on my answering machine.  This is getting ridiculous!!!

This number calls on a regular basis.  Always shows as unknown caller or long distance.  Get this through your heads - to ALL Telephone marketers.  First, I do not answer calls from people I don't know.  I do not answer calls when it shows as unknown.  You don't have the common courtesy to show your name, why then would you expect someone to do business with you.  I do not buy anything over the telephone.  I do not donate to charities over the telephone.  I do not give you my opinion on any subject over the phone.
And I do not call back numbers I don't know or to companies who do not tell me who they are or why they are calling.

Called me today, asked for my dad... told them he wasn't home, and they asked if i was "someone that could make decisions for this phone". I said no, and hung up... So yea, looks like they are trying to get you to switch phone companies or something of that sort. next time they call, i'm going to talk to them, and see what they have to say... I'll be sure to report back here, if they do. Seems to be a lot of people looking for answers

The same phone number calls here several times a day.  Because it's an unknown number, I never pick up but I'm tired of running for the phone only to see this same number showing.  I figure if the caller is legitimate, they'll leave a message that I can return (or not) but there is never a message.  From reading all of the other comments, sounds very much like some sort of scam since one writer says he was told HBC and when they followed up with HBC, was told it must have been fraud.  Others have said it was telemarketing for Primus.  Wish they would STOP calling.

well well well, they called back within the hour of the original call, a few days later!! had company so I could'nt get "down to buisness" this time there WAS someone on the line! Suprise Surprise, trying to sell me a long distance plan. Asked for me...told him I was'nt available... asked for the person responsible for making dicisions for the phone number so I said "no" he said, "pardon me?", I said " I said no, we're not interesterd. he said "when can I call back, I've got great savings on Primus long distance" I said, "never" he sounded so sad. I'll miss him.

called, no one there, I listened, then they hang up. Obviously autodialer to see if anyone was home, expecting a call either in 20 mins, or later in the week from a telemarketer, and if I'm in the mood I will tell them that I am masterbating and will ask if they want to join me, they usually don't though. Others say they are going to report ME, I say " you called ME during MY "private time" don't talk s*** to me, either whip it out, or rub one out or "F" Off. Once in awhile I get a taker, and it's off to fantasyland. WOO HOO!

That guy said he was from "Primus Canada", I told him immediately that "Not interested, thank you. Bye.". and hung it up.

That guy spoke broken English and had nerve to call me back just 1 second later. asking "why you are not interested?" I hung it up without answering.

He called 3rd time just 1 second later again.  I picked up, he asked me "why you are not interested I didn't tell you why I called yet?"

I told him, I don't accept any sales calls no matter what.  It is harassing that he kept on calling me once I told him not interested, and I hung it up, the 3rd time.

1 second later, he called the 4th time, said "this is not a harassing call.  how do you know it is a call for sales?"  I just told him, "just don't call me again." and hung it up.

I was going to use F word if he called me back 5th time right away.  He didn't.  

Should these people be thrown in jail so people can have peace in their home?

I got a call this afternoon.Answered and got dead air then they hung up.

Call from "Primus Canada" trying to sell a $1/month plan and $0.06 cents per minute with no network access fee.  Very pushy!

My mom had passed away just hours before this call.  My brother was very upset when he answered the phone and the person on the other end said that she was calling on behalf of my mom. Well you can only imagine what my brother was feeling.  He told the person on the other line that this wasn't the time and hung up.  The person said she was so sorry and would call back.  To my knowledge, she never did.

I also just got a call from this number, the guy claimed to be someone from hbc also trying to selling me long distance but when I said no he seem very distressed, and also the call was very cracklly, it did not sound like a proffesional person

Got this call, they claimed they were calling on behalf of Zellers, I told no don't have a Zellers account or credit card, I ask where are you calling from they replied from HBC, I asked what location they replied HBC Building,I asked for the telephone number in case we get disconected and that I could call her back, she said 1-877-469-1422, of course this is not their number but the HBC number,  I asked for the Supervisor name, they replied Daniel Jones, I ask for the address, they hung up, I call 1-866-225-8251 extension 7189 which HBC at Privacy and demanded that they verify and investigate into this matter as you can also call this same number to have your name and telephone number removed and placed in privacy, where you will illiminate many more phone calls, and have told them that this was becomong an issue of Infringement of privacy and also Trsspassing. And that I will hold them loable if this happends again in the future, they told me that it was a fraudulant phone call, and I told them who is it that is causing the fraud as when we applied for their credit card we had specificaly placed that we do not want them to give out our information.

Folks you must all start to act responsible, when applying with any companies and modify the contract to protect your information, trust me, try and apply for a cresdsit card and where it says that you will be held responsible for the transaction place a I WILL NOT BE held responsible in big letters and they still isuue you the cards, then have fun.

Solicitation to Switch Long Distance plan to PRIMUS.

Number has been calling here repeatedly, and almost always ended in dead air, followed by a hang up.

Today, someone finally responded when I answered (after a delay of course).  It was HBC, trying to peddle their long distance plan -- the same one I heard from 800-894-2416 a couple of weeks ago.

I think it may be time to tell HBC that they are going to do without my business.

I'm also getting at least two calls daily from this number on my cell.

Phone rang 3 times...didn't pick it up because didn't recognise #.

the phone rang twice and went to pick up and it was a dial tone.
