Several calls a day.  No one ever answers.  Always a hangup when I answer.

I live in the UK and have received a number of these calls today. They were silent when I picked up. I googled the number, as I don't get many calls from the US, and found this!

I GOT THIER NUMBER!  888-782-9847. I have been harrassed by this company for a month or more.  They claim I bought a vacation package and never used it.  Like were all a bunch of idiots and all of us bought vacation packages and just forgot about them - come on all of us.  I called this number and asked for a supervisor it took quite awhile but eventually I talked with someone named John.  He assured me that I must have bought a vacation package from this company or another one.  I asked if he Honestly believed that I and all the other dozens of people on the message boards bought vacations and just forgot about them.  He got very defensive and said he would put me on a no call list.  It will take about a week.  I told his the calls from his company are disturbing my work but he said this is the best he could do.  I suggest everyone call this number every time they call you.

Several calls over the last few days. When we pick up the phone no one is there.

A call from this number came in on my work phone number. After 5 rings it went to voice mail and there is a recording (very garbled) of what sounds like a scanner. Googled the phone number and here I am.

This phone number is for SUMMER BAY RESORTS they want to tell you that you bought a vacation from them before and never used it with you mc/visa/amex, trying to confirm that you do have one of those cards. They are relentless and want to charge you to "extend" your vacation. I would be very wary and after asking to be taken off their list would flat hang up on them. It's a timeshare sales call. RUN

And it's not just Global promotions, another Florida # 954-636-2898, called Florida Vacations (or similar) Is doing the same thing. I believe it's the same people, judging by thier attitude and demeanor. I have been taping thier calls, and will be persuing legal action for harassment. I've been on the do not call list and just renewed again. Doesn't seem like it works. I think they are trying to get personal information from people. Lets hope we can do something about this!

There has got to be a way to stop these people.  They obviously have a phone number, which means the phone company has a record of where these phones are installed.  There are enough of us being harrassed that the police should be able to track them down and put a stop to this.  I personally would like to file a suit.

Same thing, but today they called my husband 5 times in a row after he told them not to call and got progressively abusive.

Two calls today to the direct line to my CLASSROOM!!!  There was no answer.  At first I was scolding the students thinking it was a prank call...This is absurd!!

I have received several calls within the last week. They tell me they have information that I ourchased a tour package to FLA. I hung up on them several days ago and no I get 4 or 5 calls a day and there is no one there.

No one there

I don't know what this will do because I have read all the other reports.  It is ditto for me.  What do we do?

If you have been on the Do-Not-Call list for over five years, it is time to go back and re-enter your information and #'s.  After 5 years, your # is up for grabs again if you haven't re-registered.

3-4 times daily. I am also on the do not call list.  I have NOT tried to answer these calls because I researched the # online as I suspected it was a solicitation.  There is no point in attempting to call this # back when it is obviously a computer call center.  These places put you on a call rotation and when you answer, it takes a moment to transfer you to a live representative...or...they might not even answer at all.  Don't bother trying to call it back.  It is a computer managered phone line.  Avoid the calls if you can, answering only confirms that they have "a live one" on the phone.  If you do pick up and get someone on the other line, say they have the wrong # in some sort of "imaginary" language.  BE Aggressive! Do not tolerate harassment.  REPORT harassing calls to your state's attorney general's office and to the Better Business Bureau in your area. Report then to the Federal Trade Commission. Fight telephone fraud. Report telephone scam artists to the Federal Trade Commission and your state Attorney General. The Telemarketing Sales Rule gives these local law enforcement officers the power to prosecute fraudulent telemarketers who operate across state lines.

They called at 9:50 today - 9:30 AM & 7:30 PM yesterday and every day they feel like harrassing ... morning noon and night. I have asked them to stop calling it is a Fla travel bureau (with a you won a trip - all you have to do is pay) - I have an unlisted unpublished number - and still get these harrassing phone calls. I am so tired of it - I am about to give up land line service. I do not want a trip to Florida nor a cruise. I do however want them to stop calling. I will never change my mind. I have reported to the them, the FTC, the donotcall registry - which should never have allowed my number to be distributed in the first place - I have been on this list for five years.
If I nap - their sure to wake me.
If I am expecting a call - they call.
This is the exact reason I paid over $200.00 to change my phone number to unlisted unpublished! Where is my peace?
What a bunch of BS!

I keep getting calls from 1-954-776-5525. I got 3 missed calls from them, and no voice message... The one time i did answer.. they didnt say anything... but they were still on the line.. IT NEEDS TO STOP!

Every other day, at least I get 2 to 4 calls a day! Always hang ups and that's just the one I actually try to answer. Any time I've tried to call back I either get a fax machine or a voice saying the person you are trying to call is not answering and then it disconnects me.

I have been getting calls from this number for a while now! In the past 15 minutes I got 4 calls. When I call back... Just a busy signal is all I get. If it does happen to ring.. Nobody answers on their end. Very annoying. They are also calling my place of business! What gives with these people and who are they????

This morning I received a call from 1-954-636-2898 the person (man) ask to speak with me, (my complete name) he told me that in 2004,I purchased a package, some kind of vacation to Disney world and that I had a credit with his company and that he had to reactivate my credit, when I told him that I didnt remember purchasing this package and that I was going to talk to my husband and call them back, he told me that he couldnt wait, the decision has to be done inmediately, I asked him what I had to do he said that I had to pay 99.00 he told me that I had to give my credit card number, when I told him that I wouldn do that he hang up on me.  Then I call them back and I got an answer machine and just said to leave name and number.

Just spoke with someone when I answered.  Said that we purchased a vacation 2 years ago from them and that we did not use it all.  They wanted to extend it for $99.  I know that my husband did agree to some sort of trip several years ago, but we did not use it so, I thought that it was possibly on the up and up.  I told them that my husband and I did not make decisions to spend that kind of money without consulting each other and the caller became very rude and insulting.  Every comment I made, she made another that was more insulting.  I told her that if they really wanted out business that they could call again when my husband was home and that clearly that was not a problem as this is the 16th time the number has registered on our caller ID.  She said "well he never is." Finally I told her that I found her to be extremely rude and that I wanted to speak with her supervisor and then there was silence.  Finally she hung up on me when I said that I meant it and wanted to speak with them now.  I would only have to guess that they are complete scam artists!

I recieved about 5 calls from this number today, but it was quite odd, because the woman on the other end of the line asked for my father by name.  when i told the woman that he was at work, she called another 4 times and only hung up the phone after i answered it.

I too get calls from this number every day at precisely the same time 8 AM daily - even weekends.  Very irritating especially when you work nights.  I do not answer so I am not sure if they speak or not.

This is a big pain! Argh! I'm not the only receiving calls from this number but also from this number 954-636-2898. Both are obvious from the Florida region. And they call upto twice a day. If anyone knows more info, please disclose it by writing it on this website so that we can nail these guys - whomever they are. Just has to stop.
Note: when they call, say that your phone is being traced, see how fast they hang up or call again.

Getting several calls daily on my cell phone. I answered the first one and no one was
on the line. I do not answer when I see this number. It is very annoying especially
since I had my cell phone # blocked from these types of calls.
This needs to stop.

I am receiving repeated calls/hang-ups from this number.  I do not answer any calls where I don't recognize the name or number as someone I know.  Two of the calls were less than 15 minutes apart, on a busy day, at work, on my personal cell phone.  Very interrupting and irritating.
