I got a strange telegram in mail asking to call this number as well not sure what its about saying urgent sennsitive matter, seemed strange to me

I got a text message from this number. I know Dun and Bradstreet is a debt collector company but I don't think I have any debt at all. Won't call them, it is really suspicious. If they think it is urgent, they can call me.

today i got a call from this no..and asked me if i knw someone .......and she leaved a msg for someone saying he must call back to this no ASAP....she seems like a prank caller.....strange...

Can confirm it's a legitimate call from Dun & Bradstreet debt collectors.

Threaten legal action what after I flog them ...TELSTRA  if they happen to actually supply the service they brag about maybe they would get paid

These idiots also called  me from a 1300 number i will not call them back as i have to pay to call them  not likely

Got it today as well and I've only had my mobile for a couple of weeks.

Refused to give them personal information without knowing what they were calling in reference to. Asked them how am I to know who is on the phone and if they legitimately obtained my number. They said they couldn't confirm that until I gave them the confidential information, a bit chicken before the egg.

I recieved a text message requesting that I call urgently 1300856817 quoting a reference number attached to the text message.
The company would not tell me why they wanted me to call or the subject of the inquiry. They requested that I tell them over the phone my full name and date of birth. I was extremely suspicious and would not give them this confidential information without knowledge of who I was talking to or the purpose of their call.
I have no idea how they obtained my mobile number as I have recently changed it and very few people know my new number. I will be calling my bank to report this call.

Its Dun and Bradstreet based in St Kilda VIC.  They are acting as debt collectors for companies owed money.  They also act for Government agencies such as Centrelink.

It's a call center, no big deal. They threaten legal action, it's now quite a few months since my first telegram and nothing has happened.

I missed the name, it's Dunhill and Bradford or something.. they're debt collectors, and they're not allowed to leave sensitive information (like how much money you owe, or who you owe money to) in messages, so they only say it's a 'sensitive matter' and to call them back. In my case, it was about a Telstra bill.

One of these came in the mail today.  Anyone know what it is yet?

Got very strange text from number telling me to call them back urgently. Didn't.

Never give out any confidential infomation, for whatever, anytime. Ther are correct ways to transfer this sort of infomation and over tha phone is NOT one of them. This number is from Dun and Bradstreet, a debt collection agency. The account was in dispute and on sold. As a result this disputed account will never be paid and D&B will have to accept it. If any unwarranted actions occur as a result I will solicit my lawyer to commence legal proceedings against them. Man bites dog.

@ Dummy -  How did you get scammed?  I got a telegram today saying "Urgent please call"  I've have debt collectors call me up about $3 overdue fee's for late movie rentals, but I've never had a telegram sent out =/  It's a little odd.
