You may want to do a online check with nortons, and download Malware bytes and run it as well. Spybot Search and Destroy is a nice back up to have as well to the anti virus.  You can find those over on filehippo..

Second step, change all your passwords everywhere.. it doesn't take long for them to get info off your computer..

I was called yesterday by the number 53 369 8571...He was Indian and said myPC was infected and it would shut down ...He said he was from Micro soft and asked if he could go onlinbe with me to check my PC...Me being a idiot let him and he took me to a web page  ammyy.com which was a legit page but he wanted me to purchase for 19.00 a package that would fix the errors on my PC...I said no as that should be a free cost from microsoft...I said I would fix it myself and he said good buy and hung up...He has called me in the past and I told him NO...I got scared and went thru my Norton Security and found that they had downloaded a file to my PC and I deleted it out from my Norton Soft ware...I could find no sign of any other programs on my PC I ran multiple scans...This ammyy.com page he was trying to sell me on is saying that they are aware of a scam where callers are spamming stupid idiot like me that fell for their scam...Well Almost !!! BEWARE...Just tell them NO and NEVER give them your credit Information as I have heard of others who had money taken out of their accounts by these Indian People...

Sandy,  I'm willing to bet they've downloaded some malware onto your PC without your knowledge.

I too got a call from the same no. i.e 845-440-1804.And they too have told me the same, at-first I was taken a back, but the technician explained me everything but I told them that I would call bk on the same no, the "so" called Technician did agree. After I called back, I found them legit & they did fix my problems which Geek Squad & Best Buy could not.The Technician was polite & well conversed too.I would certainly recommend them. You should call them up, they are open from Monday to Friday between 12:30 PM EST to 09:30 PM EST. I'm thankful to them that they had called me up, way to go & keep up the good work.

Someone from this number called me claiming to be with Microsoft and wanted me to log into my PC. Being a sceptic, I asked for a number that I could call him back at and he gave me 845-440-1804. I haven't called it yet, but I don't trust this person and the phone number that showed on my caller ID is short a diget. Hmmm?
