I got the call too. It asked me if "I wanted to play a game". Its a line from the movie Saw.

i got the same message., not sure if it was for me or my brother. pretty strange. canada.  it's definitely internet related.

nova scotia here.  left it on my answering machine.  do you wanna play a game.  so we're all Canadians.  i'm thinking the perp may know us personally or from social networking or dating sites.

the message was on my phone at 5:51pm in Nova Scotia...I believe the same time as another post from NS...I tried calling the number back but a recording kept telling me "your call can not go through as dialed"...called Eastlink, who is my phone provider...they told me there is nothing they can do unless I file a police report...it was really creepy considering I watched all of the SAW movies...

Yeah my cousin just got a phone call at like 6:00 were in Truro NS and we just listened to the message..

Got a message myself that came in at 5:58 PM Atlantic time . . . I'm in Nova Scotia.  Good to know I'm not the only one!  Some folks have way too much time on their hands!

I got the same call around 545pm.I thought it was my grandson playing a trick,I guess not.It is making me feel violated.

Glad it just didn't happen to us alone.  Very strange.  Call came in at 5:00 PM as well, and we are here in southern Ontario.  It's for sure the voice from SAW.  I'm betting someone is hacking with the phone systems, since the calls went out all around the same time roughly to numerous locations around Canada.  Probably just some young punk trying out his leet hacking skills.  :)

It happened to my house today, it was really creepy!

Been searching this for awhile. I'm not scared, but I am curious as to why and what they want. Pranks can be fun, if there's an interesting motive.

HOLY S***! I live in Halifax Nova Scotia and I just got a call about at 5:55pm from the 161-373-3000 number. The man just said "You moth******er" and hung up" I looked up the 161 area code and somehow how all this. I'm just super creeped out that this happened to everyone's within the last 3 hours

I had the same phone call here in N.S., at around 547pm.  When I checked my message, it had that same stupid voice.  It sounds like the guy from the movie "Saw".  Weird

I had the same thing happen to us around 4:55 pm. i live outside of ottawa, ontario. So i checked out some sites, there is a site that you can go through facebook and twitter that you can make prank phone calls. You can pick what you want to have recorded. So i guess we all had the same thing from the saw movies. People and their games.

same thing here around 5:50 pm, Creepy voice "I want to play a game".  Well guess what Mr. Creepy voice. I want to play! So call me, you have my number. Coward!

It just happened to me. A friend in Bridgewater, NS, posted on her Facebook status that it happened to her and a few minutes later it happened to me and my family! I googled the phone number that showed up for her but on our phone it only showed up as "long distance".

I wonder what happens when people pick up the phone instead of letting it go to the answering machine.

Same here I was speaking with RCMP and they gave me a # for Phone Busters 1-888-495-8501
to call and report. This number is more for fraud reportings and the voice doesn't sound like the
game he wants to play is fun.

I just spent 45 minutes on hold with the HRM Police, and never did get through, so I left a message, the recording claims they will get back to me between 8 and 5 tomorrow.  if anything comes of it. I'll post a message here.
