Called asking about any medications that I might be taking. Really weird. Hung up on me when I asked them who they were and why they wanted to know.

This phone number has been calling me every day for the past month, a few days back I answered the call as the local police station.  They have not called back since ?
But it is a Indian company trying to sell me pain killers.
I buy American, I do not believe that we should be giving our jobs away to other countries who only want to kill us.

yes they use this number and they spoof a number from seattle as well...crazy lil foreigners..the seattle number is (509)221-3648...And somehow they have my home AND my cell number...apparently purchased from a list or something...

These people used to be relentless.  The calls stopped for about 6 months.  Today I received a call from this number.  Didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message.  These people are truely annoying!

We have been getting calls from various numbers for from the same people for the past 2 years.  We keep telling them not to call, but this time they were very persistent.  We normally don't even bother to talk to them but earlier today we got a call from our credit card company telling there was suspicious activity on our credit card that they wouldn't process (they called us and had them call the number on our credit card for cust. svc.).  So, this time we DID talk these people and they said my husband ordered some medication.  We get all our medications through our healthcare provider......we've never placed an online order.  What can be done to stop them????

It's from "US Pharamacy."  As noted above by Mike, they're a network of shady 'discount pill' businesses, probably based in India. If you buy something from them once, they'll hound you beyond your grave. They'll close one website, and open another, or five new ones, and share your personal data with each. Even if you manage to convince one of the sales reps to try to get you removed from the call list, you'll just get called again, a month later.

These people are beyond obnoxious, and they don't believe they have to comply with any US laws.

I don't know why more isn't being done to stop them.

This number is from an overseas 'pharmacy'. If they are calling your number, you(or someone in your house)-at one time or another, purchased a prescription on the net. BIG MISTAKE. They will continue to call for years. Your number gets passed around from one to another. Always from India or there abouts.

Called twice in 5 minutes.  Didn't answer phone.

Someone called my house today using this number. My older daughter answered the phone and a man kept insisting she was a little girl and kept asking her if she was alone in the house.

Called while I was on the phone (message of number calling displays on my phone).  When I didn't answer, another call from this number came within about one minute.  Still didn't answer.  Don't intend to.  My friend uses what I think might be an interesting technique.  When she gets a call from a number she doesn't know or doesn't want to answer, she presses "talk" and then immediately presses "off".  She says they seldom call again.  I'm going to try it.

I just let the phone ring without answering, but after 7 or more rings I will pick up the receiver and then drop it immediately.  And I report every call to the unwanted calls web site. Have no idea what they are after and could not care less.
