Any clue where this is from?

The white list would be great for those who can work within its confines. I just have too many things to consider in my associations.  I do use the call blocker to block those who are nasty little toads  after they call and become known to me.

lol...It's like a Stop sign.  Those who obey the law will stop.  The DNC was intended to keep the honest businesses honest.  For the bigger part,  it does that.  Most reported on this board are calls from people who are generally shady and not that honest,   scams etc.,   and unfortunately those who have loopholes such as political or surveys.
But we hear very little about the millions and millions of mainstream businesses in America who could be calling us,  but don't because of the DNC.  Imagine our phones ringing if all of American Businesses were given  the right to start calling with phone sales,  in addition to those characters who are now already calling trying to scam us.   People can look at it any way they want,  but in reality that's the way it is.

Just telling it as it is....And you are exactly correct. If one depends on the DNC,  they are helpless and any fraud or anyone else can ring you.   And the Call blocker is the most practical solution at the moment....That's why I have one.

Nonsense!!  The DNC Registry is a Gigantic government operated Colossus Super Computer that monitors the telephones of each and every one of those on the list and in a split second,  knows exactly what calls they want or don't want.  It is capable of determining the orgins and purposes of all calls,  scams,  spoofs,  legit or otherwise.  Once you register,  You will have absolute immunity against ever again receiving any call that you don't want without lifting a finger.

So to sum it up, it is out of our control, and we are helpless? So anyone can get any call from any fraud? A call blocker with a white listing option will stop them at their tracks.

The DNC is a list. It doesn't know who is calling  nor does it have any mechanical means of blocking anyone's calls.  It's a list for legitimate businesses in order to honor the requests of those on the list who do not wish to be called.  Nothing is going to stop the scammers, crooks or all of the phone numbers that are being spoofed.

I get calls from various putz #s at least once a week, and I am on National Do Not call list. Whats the point
