They are junk debt collectors using an automated calling program. When you answer the call, it registers the time answered and a debt collector will be calling shortly thereafter. If one never answers, they'll eventually sell the account to another junk debt collector who buys old charged off accounts and they'll try to collect all over again, hoping someone will pay off.

Calling the number is pointless since it is connected to a computer.

I get calls constantly from these people. Yes,they are very rude. When I ask who is calling they hang up. This is frequent and frusterating. So thank you for the info Jason and the other gentleman. I do believe I will physically walk into the office and have a chat with these rude people. Wish me luck !!!!

They called and let it ring twice and hung up. No VM left. I think some lazy collection person just wants it recorded that they made X number of calls in a day so they get paid.

Got repeated calls from these folks, Vision Financial.

They appear to be debt collectors, HOWEVER, they also appear to be trying to collect very old/expired debts.

The debt they were trying to collect on was nearly 10 years old.  As soon as I mentioned that the "statute of limitations" had been exceeded on this (i.e. it's no longer on your record and they missed their opportunity to collect...about 7-8 years, I think), they IMMEDIATELY backtracked, apologized for calling, and said that they would remove this from their list. When I pressed the issue about removing this from our credit report, they said, oh this isn't on there.  Interesting...probably because the debt expired!

Seems like they're trolling for people that don't know their rights, hoping to pick up a few extra bucks.

If they're calling you about a debt that is 7+ years old, try the "statute of limitations" response and see if that helps.

On Monday, I received a call from (according to the caller ID) #201-210-5436. According to this caller log, the number belongs to a Vision Financial collection co. I don't owe this company any money. I didnt bother calling this number back because i dont recognize the number, and have been receiving several calls from unfamiliar numbers. When i do try to call the numbers back, the msg usually says the number is disconnected?! So, didnt bother this time & looked it up online. Found this log,instead.

Just received call stating it was Vision Financial and they were collecting on a bill from Sprint PCS account that was closed in 2005. They asked me to verify my SS# and mailing address. I asked they send me something in the mail. They said they had. Then they asked if I just wanted to pay $100 to settle the account. I emailed Sprint PCS customer service to see what this is all about.

Someone first called from 201-210-5436 and when they got the voicemail of the person that they asked for they called back from 303-536-5615 demanding that I page the person because they got voicemail. I said "sure" and sent them directly to the voicemail!

My old phone had the ability to record conversations, it was useful  in this type of situation.  I could always play back what the  "agent" had said to me.

If you don't know the number, don't answer it, plain and simple. I just got this new number and already a collection call? Stop calling n****s.

CAlled me today twice and hung up on me both times.

Number calls me, no one answers or leaves a messge.  Then I called the number back from a different phone, and they answer the phone "Thanks for returning my call".  No company ID or name or anything, but they wanted my name and the phone number they called for me.  I asked what company they were, and the woman said, "Beijing Financial".  WTF sounds completely fishy (especially now that I see they're Capital One, and they call them selves by other names, too).  They want me to give them my number, so I just hung up on her.  If they want to talk to me, they can leave a message like everyone else  who uses the damn phone.

Called and hangs up on answering machine leaving loud beep. Very annoying.

Called here didn't leave message. Showed up on caller ID as New Jersey call. Didn't answer it since I do NOT know anyone in New Jersey. They call back again and they getting reported, on do not call list but seems doesn't work anyways.
