Seems as though you can't get away from these calls. Within a two month span I received 108 calls. After sending complaints to the FCC and FTC without any assistance I contacted the Attorney General in NJ. The calls stopped for a month and a half and am now receiving them again. They are also sending mail now, hope it helps the Post Office out of debt .. company name is North American Power.

Latest in a long line of robocalls on the same subject. Recorded female voice calling "pertaining to your current electric bill. Due to recent state deregulation you are eligible to receive a discount on your electric bill. Press 5 to be transferred to find out which discount you are eligible for. Press 5 to be transferred to one of our friendly representatives." Caller ID read only 2012433360. Reported these violations (recorded call; calling a number on the DNC list) to the feds at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

Got a call from this number yesterday. Did not answer and they left no message. Figured it was a "scam" call (getting 3 to 4 per day). ID said "out of area"

I've gotten tired of telling these idiots that I am not interested. Now when they say they are required to hold while I get my bill, I let them do just that. I put the phone on mute and go about my day. One actually held for over 10 minutes. I am on the Do Not Call List for a reason. If they want to waste my time, I like to return the favor.

Call came in with no name. Left no message. We are on the do-not-call list. We have also been plagued by NJ's insane decision to let power companies hound the public for their business.

I am on the Federal Do Not Call list but they call anyway. Robo call announcing I "...am eligible to save money on my electric bill, press 5 to speak to a representative..."
Your electric account number is gold to them, don't give them your account number. With your account number they can change your energy supplier. Put them on HOLD while you pretend to get your most recent energy bill to prevent them from calling and bothering someone else. Be polite to them but make them wait, waste their time.

answered, recorded message said they were a power company and if I wanted lower electric rates to hit five and grab my electric bill. I hit five and told "Chris", female, that my bill was unavailable due to myself preparing my income tax, however I asked her for their name and a return phone number. She hung up. Call back is dead line.
