got the same call to my home in Basking Ridge; how can this be blocked

We get this number calling us constantly. Everyday at least twice a day. My wife and I like to take out our frustrations on these folks. It helps relieve stress and I hope they keep calling because I get to talk to them the way I want to talk to people that I don't like and never get the chance to tell them how I really feel. Oh and I'm going to start recording the calls. Just for fun.

This number has been calling for weeks. Same stuff as listed above. We have Verizon. Is there any way it can be blocked with Verizon?

Very anoying calls from this phone.  They hang on, make nosies, laugh, 3 to 6 times a day.

Just received a call from this number. Caller ID said Closter NJ. They hung up after the answering machine got it.

I called it back and the message says the mail box for "annoyed call recipient" is full...... they call once or twice a night.

We have gotten calls from this number for the last two days.  When you call it back  it says "voice mailbox for Annoying caller is full" ?!!

Getting calls everyday, I have also blocked the number.

I am sorry to see others are having the same problem as I am, but glad to find out I am not the only one.  I have blocked the no.

I had the same problem for the past 10 days,  I use Comcast for my phone land line and was able to block that no.  you would think, somehow, we could find out who that no. belongs to and report them for harrassment

I keep getting calls from this no.  no one says anything and it is bordering on harrassmnet. please quit calling

Phone company blocking services are ineffective by design.  

I suggest one of the following options:

(1) For small problems, Panasonic (and others) makes some phone models with a call blocking capability.

(2) Google Voice is free, and can be used in a number of different ways to deal with such problems.

(3) Some VOIP providers who target the residential market have excellent call filtering features.

It also does little to stop collection agencies, and of course scammers have carved out their own little "exemption", known as the "catch me if you can" loophole.

Based on described behavior, I would tend to suspect one of the above, rather than a "charity".  Of course, charities which cold call, and scammers, are frequently one and the same.

I'm so glad to find out this is happening to other people.  This number is also calling my house non stop.  Sometimes back to back, its really strange.  We're going to call the phone company and try to find out if the number can be blocked.

This number called my house 4 times within 20 minutes!  They do not leave a message and when you call it back it tells you that the mailbox is full.  I would think that there's a way to end these ridiculous, irritating calls.  This is the second number that's doing this.  Verizon does not know anything about them and can't stop them.

It was probably a charity and the dont call list doesn't cover charities.

This number just called the house.  When I answered, the connection was dropped.  Who is this and why are they calling.  I am on the do not call list.

This unknown number keeps calling our home.  We didn't answer at first knowing unknown usually means telemarketer. We are on the do not call list. I finally got fed up and answered the next call.  No one answered. Who is this and why do they keep calling?????
