Oh my goodness, all these accounts of the same phone numbers, Microsoft, and things said are EXACTLY what happened to me last night at midnight and they called again just now, like they said they would! I also told this "Rosie" with the thick accent, that I didn't trust this and they gave me the 201 # as a call back number. I was so miffed that they woke me from a deep sleep and still insisted I get to my computer! How annoying!! I told them I was going to talk to my computer guy and they were to never call me again.

Got a call this morning claiming he was from Windows and I had logged into a page and my computer was compromised. Told him I would run a scan on it and check it out. He said my scan wouldn't pick it up but my computer would crash and be wiped clean. Had a heavy Indian accent and told me his name was Brad Nell. Told him I was leaving for a few hours and he offered to call me back. Got this number when I insisted on it and he was extremely reluctant to give it to me. I asked which Windows operating system he was concerned with since I had two computers both being worked on and he couldn't tell me. Needless to say I did not call back but the call display had the number 999-910-0492.

I received the first call after midnight. I was too sleepy to respond so the idiots called again tonight... AFTER BUSINESS HOURS! I told them that I would have my computer tech give them a call and hung up! I was told not to keep them on the line too long bc they have a way of tracking the nmber... I don't know, but I'm glad I didn't hang on long!

I just received a call from these fools..... they claimed that they were calling me from "Windows Technical Support" (at 9:30 PM on a Monday night). I asked if they were calling from Microsoft, they hesitantly answered "no", but insisted that I had a problem with my computer. I know this scam....please don't fall for anything they ask you to do. They will infect your computer with a virus when you log onto one of their sites, then they will sell you a fix for the problem they created.
Just ask them to hold on while you power up your computer, then leave them on indefinite hold .....

same message as above, a lady called me at 9:30 PM saying my computer is at risk and asked me to turn on my computer and she will guide me through. Her name is Nicole with Hispanic accent. She asked her for phone number and company, she gave me 201-620-3170, from Window operating system, help and support center.

Just bought a new computer. Haven't had it for more than 2 weeks and I've already gotten 2 calls from mysterious heavy accented woman/women claiming to be from Microsoft or Windows. She claims I have a problem, wants me to turn on computer, she is trying to help. I say no way, give me a phone number. First time, she hangs up. Tonight (7/16/13) a similar experience, but she gives me 201-620-3170 when I ask for a phone number. I ask who or what is it and she tells me it's a Help Support Line. She says to ask for her, "Nancy Wilson," Oh, really?-- I have to ask her name several times, because her accent is so heavy, I don't understand what she is saying. In the background, I hear lots of noise from multiple people, probably all on phones doing the same. At end of call, I look up the phone number online and here I am reading everyones posts. So does anyone know how to get rid of them once and for all and what is clueing them in?

My daughter received a call from these people. She thought this guy sounded very sincere and that something was wrong with my computer. I called the 201 number back, and they told me that I had a virus on my computer. I aske "how could you possibly know that?" I asked, do you think I am stupid? and this Eric Andrew says YES ? Funny. Stupid scam. They actually called me the next day thinking they had a live one. Anyway, I told them I was reporting them. But I know there is no one to report them to. The only think to do about these scams is to educate people.

I just got a call from some guy who claimed to be calling from Microsoft. Ok... he then goes on to tell me that something is wrong with my computer. I asked him how he would know, he isn't here!! He wanted me to go to my computer & he would tell me what I needed to do to fix the problem.
As I wasn't born yesterday, I refused & told him I don't believe him. He got quite insistent & so I told him he could speak to my husband when he get's home.
He gave me a phone #201-620-3170, said his name is Shane Wilson & gave me his long ID#.
Needless to say I googled the phone number & well... let's just say this is a warning to anybody who get's a call like this. Don't fall for it!!

Oh I wish I had been smart enough to figure it out! Guess it is my brain. I should have known better-- he could speak English KINDA. An Indian accent. Oh well, my bad! I think it was a Microsoft Windows problem with my computer.

Guy with Indian accent claiming to be 'Adam Foster' called from '012-345-6789' and gave me the number 201-620-3170. Asked me to turn on my computer so he could 'guide' me. Claimed to be from Microsoft and told me I had downloaded something that is compromising my Windows Operating system that needed to be removed from my computer.
I don't HAVE Windows OS.

Given this number 2016203170 as a call back number after recieiving a call from 0123456789 {174
Fellow with heavy east indian accent told me was calling urgently due to a major computer issue with my operating system.
Did not trust this as he wanted me to go into my computer--I am guessing to allow him accesss.
I questioned it and asked him what company he was representing to which he did not really have an answer. I told him I could not talk at that time and asked him for a call back number. He gave me this 201 number.
This is obvioulsy a big scam and caution all to not give anybody access to your computer in any way. He called yeterday too and I told him I had an apple operating system--told me must be the wrong number and hung up

I have been getting non-stop calls for the same reason....my computer is flooding their boards at Windows support that my computer has been corrupted and so on. When the calls come in, some crazy number shows up on my caller ID....like V018365280-012-345-6789....it's crazy!!! When I told the guy I was not in front of my computer and could I call him back her gave me this number (201-620-3170), told me his name was Justin Smith (which was a lie cause he was Arab or something) and his password "Love" (for what reason I needed that I don't know). I said I'll call back. Well a few hours went by and he called again, with another crazy number showing up this time starting with the letter "M". He said "I thought you were gonna call me back?" and I told him I was busy. He started to get very rude and pushy and when I told him I did not believe him and that I would call Microsoft myself to see if this was true He got even nastier and said to me "What? Are you special that someone at Microsoft would speak with you?" I said 'Excuse me...but who the hell do you think you are talking to?" and he started to talk again and I hung up!!! The funny thing is that about a month ago I got a call from a nu,ber I didn't know and when I called it back, it lead me to Movie Phone. A few minutes later, the call came in again and this time I answered it and it was this same idiot that called me today. He gave me the same speech and I told him he was full of crap cause the number he was calling from was NOT Windows but rather Movie Phone. He argued with me then and he argued with me today. If they call again I am informing him that the authorities have been notified and they are tapping my phone to catch his scamming a** AND if anything gets jeopardized with my computer or it crashes, the police will know about that too!!!! Can't wait to tell him that and see what he does!!!

These guys for 201 620 3170 have been calling repeatedly to tell me they are from MICROSOFT support and that my computer is sending alert messages to them and they need to fix it before my computer crashes. I asked him which computer because I have 4. He said anyone as long as they are on the same internet connection.
I asked what exactly he wanted and he repeated the same stuff without giving me a clear answer as what they wanted to do. I hung up on him. He called me back 2 more times, i answered he said it was urgent that I go to my computer and go to support.me .
At that point I realised they might be dangerous as they want to have remote access on my computer without knowing a thing about me or my system. Anyway, I told him I'd call him back so I could check them out and I found all of these scam reports. He told me his number is 201-620-3170 and his name Anthony Fernandez, although he sounded Indian.
Anyway, MICROSOFT needs to find these guys and put them in jail!!!!

4/2/2012 Got a call today saying I had computer errors and asking me to run the event viewer, showing there were errors. Then they asked me to run www.support.me which I wouldn't do. I asked for their phone number, which was this 201 number, which I reached, but I couldn't learn anything from them. The accents are very thick, perhaps Chinese, and hard to understand. The .me suffix seems to be a new personal suffix, as in "me," and not a country as I had guessed.

I got a call from this number the same day i called HP support. Very odd... The guy that called had my full name somehow. He said he was from "windows support" and they had received an error message from my computer. He did have a thick accent; there was no way i was going to give him control of my computer. I asked for his number and this is the number he gave me. I googled it while on the phone with him. I read him a comment indicating this was a "scam" and he got nasty and hung up on me.
So , obviously this is a scam, don't fall for it!

Received a call from 2016203170 at 10:45PM at night...inapropriate time as it was. Was on the other line so I did not answer, however have had a few friends get this call and where told that they had computer problems and that these fine folks were going to help. Rather..help you out of what little money you have on your credit cards etc! SCAM SCAM!
Do not give them any info. Report it to the authorities. I have, and we have spread the word to watch out for these scammers.

Also received a call from this number stating that my computer was about to crash and I needed to let him fix it. He had a very heavy accent and I had trouble understanding him but I knew it was a scam
because he was getting angry with me when I told him that this sounded very fishy and that I was going to report this number to the authorities. Please hang up, do not engage once you let them into your computer, who knows what they will do.
