I recently been receiving this phone number on my cell phone also. They called 3 times yesterday, and since I don't recognize the number, I don't answer it. And, of course, they do not leave voice mail. They called again today. I do think they're a scam as well. "201" is New Jersey... while I'm in Ohio. It's mostly irritating because my cell phone number is unlisted.

i just recieved a call from an overseas caller.
The man proceeded to tell me that he was calling about grants, he knew my full name and was talking about how i could get up to $50,000 in grants from the government, and that grants dont have to be paid back like loans, ect. which seems to be common knowledge to me.
He said i could be eligible for grants for business, educational, housing, personal, ect.
He proceeded to ask me to verify some information such as being 18 yrs old and my specific school address which he knew already. (scares me now)
i told him the stuff was correct but when he started asking for credit or debit information it started sounding a little fishy so i started asking questions and  he got all defensive and started quoting the following info:
He said his name was Kevin Billanuvea and his caller id # was 1536.
He also said he was from Lesko Mentoring & the Government Money Club.
He even gave me an address of 12083 Mevel Street, Rockville, Maryland 20852.
then after i was like okay well i still cant give my information out over the phone he was like well if you turn it down another applicant will get it. do you really want to turn down a goverment grant? i said no i just dont give out my information over the phone and i asked him how he got my inquiry to begin with he said on the web and i told him i havent done a thing over the web that has to do  with goverment grant and he starts saying thats why theyre calling me to give me information and do i want it or not. he seemed like he was getting frustrated so i was like okay fine, when did i fill out the internet thing and he hung up. i dont know if the company is real but it doesnt really sound like it and if they hang up on people they probably arent that great anyways

They 1-201-775-4971 call my phone about 20 times a day, they even call well into the evening.  It's really annoying when you can't enjoy a quiet evening with this number calling all the time.

This telephone number continues to call my cell phone 1-201-775-4971 over and over and over. Please stop them!!!

the number 201-775-4971 keeps calling my mom none stop every 5 minutes for at least a week. She says that all that comes up on the id is the number.

yeah this number called me too, this morning I was waiting for a call from my fiance who is just coming back from Iraq. they called me 12 times. from 8:06 to 11:36. twelve times. 12!
each time i was amped because I thought it was going to be my boy each time the phone rang, but no, it was them, and when I answered they hung up on me!
it's not like they're calling my home phone, no, they're callin my cell phone. It's so annoying.  

how do i stop this?!

This number keeps calling me. I dont ever answer but they have called 6 times in a matter of an hour!  How can your get them to stop??  Should i have my phone provider block the number?  Help!

Same as everyone else has been saying...lots of calls from this number...nobody is there when  you answer it.  They've call me 19 times since Friday.  Can't get through to anyone when I call it back.  Make it stop!!!!

This number has been calling BOTH my cell phone & my "home phone" (which is magic jack and UNLISTED!) - Well today, the person must have not been paying attention because they left me a voice mail saying "<my name>.....Hello?....<my name>, you there?....hello, <my name>...." this went on for like 45 seconds LOL! It was a females voice, she sounded as if she were in her 40s?...with an asian accent.  I called the # back but it just says "thank you for calling the customer service department, if you'd like to speak with an available representative, press 1. if you'd like to add your number to our do not call list press 2. To end this call press *"...First off, I pressed 2....and it claims my number is now added to their do not call list (we shall see?!)....then I thought "I wonder what this place is?!" So I called again, this time I pressed 1 to talk to someone.... and it said "we're sorry but nobody is available to answer your call, please select a different option from the main menu" -- you'd think if  this place was LEGITIMATE they wouldn't want to miss your call and have a voicemail option?.... Wish I could find out WHO it is, just a bunch of sites complaining about not knowing who it is and nobody speaks when the call is answered LOL!

Same thing as everyone else. Calls continuously, is of a foreign descent. This is really freaking me out and I just want it to STOP!

This number has been calling my house number the last few days.  Just today they called nore than 25 times and they never answer the phone. I called the Federal Trade comission and they are going to investigate.

This number calls me starting at 8:30am in the morning and continues throughout the day every hour. I know this is aganst the law, please tell me how to correct this problem.

I am getting calls from this no. on my cell phone.  I do not like this because they are taking up my cell phone minutes.  When I answer the phone they never say anything.  It has to be some sort of spam or something. It is a terrible thing for our privacy to be interrupted because of these idiots.  Please someone help us!  Thanks!

They have called my house for 3 weeks non stop. When I answer nobody says anything. Please do something about these people. The caller ID only says New Jersey call with the number. No company name.

They called, I answered I'm not the person they asked for, she tried to talk money grants, I stated Pleae put info in mail -I'm ot giving you any info over the phone.  She said she would not put in mail, this was a "computer generated call and my number would not be called again"  I con't to tell her I was not giving any info -she wanted my name.  I interuptd her and said "O.K. I will stay on the line you keep talking and I'll say nothing".  After a short pause she hung up.  Guess what I record my calls and it is legal where I live. I am on the National Do Not Call List. PS.  I received the next call from them about 20 minutes later.  And this morning before 8:30 I got another one. Sending the complaint & recording and my confirmation of NDNCListing.  I missed this past call, but I will answer the next one.

I've just started getting calls from them today...got an estimated 5 calls since 12 this afternoon on my cell and its getting a little ridiculous since no one will answer. Someone put an end to this please.

I keep getting calls from this number daily. They're not even an hour or two apart... the last two were less than TEN MINUTES apart. I answered one of them and I told the woman that she had the wrong number. And she said, "no, i spoke to this person yesterday..." NO SHE DIDN'T. She did not speak to me yesterday. Or ever. I have never spoken to this woman before. I just want to know how to stop these calls that are five minutes apart. And I would like to know how they got my number?

They call about every hour or so and I have not answered.  When I called back it went to a voice mail that said "Thanks for calling the Customer care department" however no agents were available.  I do not want to receive anymore of these calls at all.

I was tired of getting calls from 201-775-4971. Yesterday I received 30 calls. I called 1-888-425-2088 (Cablevision Lightpath, Inc) and told them to remove my number. The message says it takes up to 30 days to remove my number from the calling list.

this number has been calling me since 8:15am all moring...and no one answers...anyway u guys can make them stop or do i need to take action of some sort....
